Sci-Fi Fairy Tales Update
Remember my Sci-Fi fairy tale project? WELL the first short story of the series is ALMOST DONE! How exciting is that?
Also, my book Shadow Maiden (now available on http://www.amazon.com/Shadows-Time-Shadow-Maiden-Book-ebook/dp/B00EI3Y0RE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381929093&sr=8-1&keywords=shadow+maiden ) is doing great. At the moment, it's number 33 on the top 100 Dark Fantasy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will only get closer to number 1!
Also, if you haven't checked out my horror short story, Clean, you can get it on Smashwords (available at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/353348 ).

Luthen
This is just a sketch of the main villain of my series.
It's a little rough, but I feel it captures what he's all about...
Here's a small peak from book one:
"Open your eyes. See for yourself, there is nothing to fear. There is worse yet to come. His eyes were pried open by unseen claws. He could see the same dark room, the same desk and chair. The age-old corpse, still rotting away like nothing had happened.I used to be quite handsome you know. You could never tell now of course. I could have had any wench I wanted and no matter how badly I treated her she would still be begging for my return. Such a lovely feeling. Power. Something you would know nothing about.Lestel tried to open his mouth to speak. His tongue lolled around, numb and clammy. He managed to moan a single word.“Whooooo?”I thought you would never ask. He felt himself being dragged upright like a puppet and crashed down upon his unsteady feet. I was once an elf. I was flesh and blood bound together and oh so weak. I once breathed like you do now. Now I am something entirely different. More—efficient. I have been reborn. I am vengeance against the living.I am Luthen.
And there is much to do."

Bat Man and Co.
This is a picture I did for a friend of mine. She's obsessed with Batman, so needless to say, she loves it.

School! Blarg!!!!!
Since school has started again, there has literally been no time to do the things I like---writing, drawing, etc.--and it's a bit exhausting.
Though, when I do get the opportunity to do something like that, it's great. Yesterday, I actually got some time to just sit down and write. Woohoo!
This usually never EVER happens.
I'm a senior in nursing school. Trust me, If I'm writing anything, it's usually assessments or clinical reports.
The best part, though?
It's another short story that's almost ready for publishing!
I've noticed ever since I published Clean that downloads for both that and Shadow Maiden picked up considerably. I guess it's true that the more you put work out there, the better.
Of course, then there's this beauty I cranked out a couple of weeks ago. That's what happens when I channel surf and happen to have my bamboo tablet already plugged in haha.

Updated cover for print...
So yeah... the "old" cover was bothering me. I didn't like the face. And the background was just meh. SO this one, on the other hand, is much better (in my opinion at least).

Werewolves!
Just something that's been buzzing around my head for awhile. Might try the idea out in a short story. Very fitting for Halloween (it can't come soon enough!).

Sneak Peek Art for Book Two: Shadow Queen
"Suddenly a deep rumble shook the bone-littered ground beneath their feet. A low hiss flooded the air from behind them. Astrid could see the giant Slasher’s shadow creep over their heads. She felt her blood run chill through her body. They had disturbed a Brood Mother.Without thinking, she grabbed Ethen by the arm and threw him out of the Brood Mother’s way. She felt the pinchers lash around her waist and squeeze. Ribs popped and snapped as the air was forced from her lungs. The Brood Mother shook her limp body about and then tossed her aside.Ethen ran to her side, his hands quaking as he dug into his near empty quiver.“Run Ethen, run…” her voice wheezed from her gaping mouth.Ethen reached for his last arrow and let it fly. It skidded off the towering Brood Mother like a fly. He let out a cry, falling to his knees. More hisses fluttered from all directions. So this is what it’s like to die, thought Astrid as her vision dimmed."
