Compromise Agreement
Hi, long time no speak. Just to let you know I am still here, still writing. My latest news is that Compromise Agreement has a new cover. It is beyond gorgeous - I'm hoping it will show up on Goodreads very soon. As a result I will be doing a sale very soon - I'll let you know dates as soon as I know them.
Hope everyone is keeping well? I'm off to panic buy Christmas presents

And another thing...
I normally keep quiet on the subject of reviews. A well known bestselling author that was kind enough to answer one of my questions once advised me never to read them - that madness lay in that direction. I've not quite managed to stop reading them altogether, but I've learned not to internalise them.
I would always defend anyone's right to write a review - good or bad. The thing is that generally people that tend to leave them are polarised in their views. They either love you or hate you enough to take the time to write something. And that's okay - that's balanced.
Where I have an issue is where someone clicks on the 'want to review all the books you've ever read on amazon' and then issues swathes of 2 or 3 star ratings to books they can barely recall. Most of us read so many books that being asked to rate a book I read in 2012 is fairly pointless. Maybe a 'meh' rating is therefore deserved, but I know I read some great books I never reviewed.
Anyway, I'm not sure it does the books justice. I only write this because I pressed that button myself and was overwhelmed by firstly how many books I've read (and how much I've spent), and then how little I remembered many of them. That didn't mean they weren't good books. And I know how much effort it takes to write one, so damning them with a meh rating seems unjust. I figure if I can't be inspired to write something in the moment then I shouldn't try and write something 3 years later.
That is all... for now

Cold Comfort is Live - Update
It's always a big day when you publish a book. A combination of satisfaction at having accomplished it, after a significant gestation period, mirrored by the equal and opposing terror at opening it up to criticism.
The achievement of finishing this book is made all the more poignant that it was achieved at a time my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer and subsequently passed away. Writing was a window of escapism at what was (and still is) a really tough time.
Still - now you have it. It's a shift from my previous novels - a foray into New Adult. I'll let you tell me what you think - I know you will.
Be happy - remember life is perilously short

Finally - a new book
I know it has taken me forever - believe me when I say I have had one or two personal distractions on the home-front. Actually that is the understatement of the century.
Anyway finally, finally, I have a new book for you. It is my first foray into New Adult. The heroine is younger than I normally write.
To say thank you to the people who consistently support me I am releasing it for the first week an on pre-order at a reduced price, so make the most of it.
Thanks as ever for all your support

I love the writing but you can keep the marketing bit
The problem is that marketing my books is too much like my day job. Seriously the writing is a pleasure - I love the sheer escapism of immersing myself in a story, but unfortunately if you've gone to all the effort of writing a book you're meant to let people know about it. It's one of the reasons I've always self published.... That and I don't like rejection... I can just write it and put it out there.
However, Compromise Agreement has some great reviews and seriously deserves a bit more effort to let people know about it. I'm thinking about a sale maybe? Any ideas gratefully received.

Full Circle is on sale
For Easter holidays I've decided to put Full Circle on sale. That means both What goes around comes around and Full Circle are only 99p $0.99 each, so you can read the full series for less than £2/$2.
Not bad value if I do say so myself - so spread the word and make the most of it.
