New Release: DEAD CELL

I'm happy to announce that Dead Cell is now available in paperback and e-book formats.

"The city of Statton’s road toll jumps overnight for no apparent reason. Despite the number of deaths, authorities can find nothing more than driver carelessness and bad luck. Craig Ramsey, psychic investigator, believes the causes are supernatural. He and his spirit companion Emily Fraser form an uneasy alliance with the sceptical Detective Sergeant Cogan to hunt the killer from beyond the grave.

The probl...

COMING SOON: Dead Cell

My Beta-Readers LOVE my new novel "Dead Cell". It's now in the formatting stages for conversion to paperback and EBook, and I am feeling more excited than a kid waiting for Christmas.

You will love the main characters, the tension that builds between them, and the mind-popping twist and turns that lead to the thrilling toe-curling climax. Special thanks go to Helen Odins and Kris Verity for their time and comments on the book.

The story centres around the city of Statton where more car-related...

The Grammar Nazi

Spelling, grammar, and punctuation were some of my favourite parts of learning English in school. That included learning about independent clauses, subjects, predicates, verbs, and how they all integrated together.

Sixth grade was fun for me back then, and I loved to write. When I started high school, I noticed the teachers placed less importance upon these things. Most English classes were devoted to reading literature, interpreting and analysing the stories to death so that I didn't enjoy "T...

Many years ago, I felt that way while reading Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book, in particular the stories of Rikki Tikki the mongoose. He was guarding the young boy of the house from the deadly cobra and it wanted revenge in an eye-for-an-eye kind of way for Rikki Tikki killing its partner. The two of them stood off, dead-locked in an animal's Mexican Standoff, eac...

At the age of sixteen, I shrugged to that answer. Ideas seem to come from everywhere for me and, even now that I have hit forty-four, I still find ideas jump out at me unexpectedly. The trick is to be ready for them.

You see,...
