How can I know the Truth?

In our world today, truth has been turned upside down. People are clamoring to find the truth to know who and what they can trust. No one wants to be lied to–not even a pathological liar likes being lied to. We’ve had conflicting reports through media from so-called leaders and scientists regarding COVID-19. People are delivering conflicting information which does not allow us to make informed decisions, further putting our health and our lives at risk. How can we trust media, scientists, government? How can we know what’s true?

More than any other time in our lifetimes, we need to learn how to think critically for ourselves and how to research to find the truthful answers we need. When searching to know if a matter is true, understand there are governing laws we need to know about. Let me start with the Law of Absolutes.

Many people today believe and make the claim truth is relative. They believe truth can be what the individual chooses.  What they may not realize is in the process of discovering truth, the burden of proof for any claim is on the claimant. When helping people who believe truth is relative give proof for their claim, we can  ask them, “So are you saying there’s no such thing as absolute truth?” When they say “Yes” our job is to then lovingly walk them through the falicy of their faith–their belief that truth is relative.

To say, “There is no such thing as absolute truth” is making a statment based on the law of absolutes.  A person who believes truth is relative cannot use the laws of absolute and still be credible. Since no one wants to live their life on the basis of a lie, learning how to help people examine what they believe and why, is a very loving thing to do.

As with anything, examination is required to get to the truth.  Again, no one would willingly base their religious beliefs which govern their life on lies. However, I assert unless we examine what we believe and why, we can easily be deceived and unaware of our condition. It is after all the nature of deception that the victim is unaware. And since most religions believe  our faith in this life determines our eternal life, it is extremely important to make certain our religious beliefs are based on truth.

How can we know if a matter is true? There are several proof tests we can use. In the same way that we are subject to various laws of physics, we are subject to other natural laws.  Since I’ve already touched on the law of absolute, let’s next consider what is known as the Laws of Rational Thought. They include:

The Law of Non-Contradiction (A is not non-A): Opposite truth claims cannot both be true. For example, if an atheist believes God does not exist and a theist believes God does exist, it is impossible for both to be right.

The Law of Excluded Middle (either A or non-A): This asserts that it is either A or non-A, but not both. God cannot exist and not exist. In other words, there is no middle ground; opposites cannot be the same.

The Law of Identity (A is A): This law simply states that something is what we say it is: A is A. When someone says, “I loved the book,” it is understood to mean a “book” (and not a duck or an automobile). Without the law of identity, there would be chaos and language would be incoherent.4

Additionally, concerning truth there is an absolute standard regarding any truth, though not everyone is willing to accept it. To confirm that a matter is truth, three essential characteristics must be in place at the same time:

The truth is based in reality.Only one thing can be true and all opposing matters are false.The truth is universal.

As a mother of two, I had more than one occasion where my children sought to create a truth they preferred, generally in attempt to avoid a consequence they knew was “bad.” You can imagine the scenario that would cause me to say, “Sorry sweetie, but the chocolate crumbs on your hands and face provide evidence that you did eat the last of the cookies.”

What is the application of discovering truth in this cookie example?

All the cookies are gone—the truth is based in reality.The cookies can’t both be in the jar and gone at the same time—one matter is true, all opposing matters are false.Based on the above and the precious child’s face covered with cookie crumbs, any mother in the world would come to the same conclusion—the truth is universal.

In this postmodern American culture, discovering the truth may be more difficult than ever, but it is still not impossible, nor does it require genius. We must rationally examine all truth claims. Every religion and philosophy has the responsibility of giving evidence for its truth claims, and such evidence should be available for believers and unbelievers—the burden of proof is on the claimant.5

People who choose to maintain beliefs based on their personal preferences, as opposed to objective, verifiable evidence, have a general sense they are operating with ideals contrary to most others. The only way they can alleviate this is to seek to change the beliefs of others. As in the example of my children and the missing cookies, they work very hard to substantiate their claims, seeking to convince others that their beliefs are valid and deserving of respect and should therefore bring no negative consequences.

One of the ways people seek to have their personal truth claims acknowledged by others is to attempt to alter reality in the minds of those who oppose their beliefs. Revisionism is one such tactic. Public school textbooks, for example, have been revised as a means to indoctrinate the most impressionable in society: our children.

Consider how evolution is taught in public schools today as fact, not theory, while the Creation account for the origin of humanity is taught as a fairy tale. Clearly this is not teaching with respect to individual intelligence or using sound logic and reason. What should be presented are the objective facts and evidence so that the student can decide. Instead, our schools provide deductive instruction that tells students what to think rather than offer inductive instruction that encourages people how to think.

In this postmodern culture that has elevated tolerance without wisdom, claims that truth is relative are made with few people prepared to challenge or debate the claim. Until we can agree that truth is objective and verifiable there can be no debate with relativists. Another way I like to say it, “You just can’t reason with crazy.”

Consider the following false objections that relativists make concerning absolute truth and the reasonable corresponding responses.

If truth is absolute, then no new truth would be possible. This mistakes the process of discovery with truth. People once thought the earth was flat when in reality it was a sphere. Truth is revealed or understood over a period of time. It is not altered with new information.

Absolute truth is too narrow. Any truth claim is narrow because truth by its nature means that anything that opposes it is false.

Absolute truth is dogmatic. Yes, it is, because the claim of truth excludes non-truth, which makes it reasonable to be dogmatic.

No one can know something is true. We can know if something is true based on the process of discovery. If we don’t understand the truth about a matter, it doesn’t alter the truth. Truth exists beyond our selves.

In conclusion, absolute truth stands on its own. Absolute truth is absolutely true no matter what evidence has been or is yet to be discovered. Truth corresponds to facts. Truth does not change just because we learn something new about it. Truth is not subject to our feelings or opinions rather, the converse is correct.

Man has the ability to think logically and apply reason using our intellect, and at the same time has an amazing gift of imagination. The danger is when one’s imagination clouds or impairs a person’s ability to remain grounded in empirical truth—that is, practical, verifiable evidence from experience and not theory.

Understand the Current Battle

 

There has been a lot of reference to the historical account of God’s intervention to spare His people from the evil plot of destruction by Haman, recorded in the book of Esther. The common theme has been that the days we’re living are very much like the days the Jews existence was at risk at the time of Esther. As Christians and Jews are by faith in Christ one new people, Christians are now being attacked by the same anti-Semitic spirit that has existed since creation itself. What can we do to escape the efforts of the Hamans of our day? The first unwritten rule of war is to know your enemy.

Ephesians 6:12-13 makes clear, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” The entity behind all evil is satan known as Lucifer in heaven. He influenced his spiritual minions and he has always influenced humans to do his bidding. Therefore, there are humans who by way of their choices actually are our enemies. Jesus was clear we should pray for our enemies and in that he did not mean satan and his fallen angels. Jesus meant humans who are influenced by satan. We need to pray from a heart of wanting them to realize the error of their ways. Wanting them to repent and turn to God–to be saved through faith in Jesus and become transformed as a child of God, no longer a child of satan.

However, as in the life of Pharaoh who enslaved the Hebrews recorded in Exodus, there comes a point in time where God knows a human will not repent. From that point on that person is subject to God’s judgment. In light of current events, and the many people who discern the days we’re living are very similar to the days of Esther, we may be very close to seeing God bring judgment upon people who have been promoting evil, in the near future. Continue to pray for people to repent. However, should we see God’s judgment, we must know in His supreme wisdom, His intervention is for the good of His people.

If knowing our enemy is important, then so too is knowing our allies important. God says whoever is not against Him is for Him (Mk 12:30). In the time of Esther we learn the Jews, God’s chosen people, had adopted many of the practices of the Persian culture, which adversely impacted their proper devotion to God. When Mordechai, a leader for the Jewish community, learned of Haman’s evil plot to destroy the Jews, he got word to his cousin, Esther, who had become queen for King Xerxes I, without her Jewish identity being known. Mordechai recognized the providence of God for positioning Esther in the palace where she might be able to persuade the King to help the Jews. Even though Esther knew to approach the King without being summoned could cost her life, she too recognized God’s providential care.

Queen Esther called a three-day fast of all Jews to heighten the ability of God’s people to clearly hear from God to know how to respond in this highly crucial reality. A time of fasting before the Lord does not manipulate Him to do our will. Insterad, it humbles us to repent from our evil ways, be rightly restored to God, and then hear from Him and obey. I believe this is the time we are in today around the world, and most certainly in America.

We must also pray for our allies–our Mordechai’s and Esthers who have been placed in key positions of authority to carry out God’s will. In addition to God’s people who are able to help, God will use those who are not His people to accomplish His will, such as we see with King Xerxes I. We must ask the Lord to help us discern who is against Him, and who is for Him that we may pray for all those He has positioned to accomplish His will. We must trust God’s appointed people to work in our behalf.

As we see the radical changes from one presidential administration to another where it appears many of the good things accomplished are being undone, let’s learn another lesson from the book of Esther. Haman had the authority of King Xerxes upon which he pronounced destruction of the Jews. The Jewish community in Persia knew of this and obviously feared for their lives. While King Xerxes could not withdraw the original decree, he did pronounce another decree which allowed the Jews to defend themselves to save their own lives. The parallel I see for us today is that we must defend what we know to be right and true through every avenue available to us. God, the King of Kings, has given us the command to represent Him to all people, to speak the truth in love and to work for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.

It’s interesting to note, the story of Esther took place in about 357 BC, after God made His covenant with Abraham, and before Jesus was born. Had Haman’s plan succeeded the enemy of God would have prevented the coming of the promised Messiah. This points out the importance of our understanding how God watches over His word to perform it (Jer 1:12) and how He performs His word in and through His people.  The Jews of Esther’s day and all Believers today have a part to play in the fulfillment of God’s plans on earth.

Just as God planned to send Jesus as the promised Redeemer, God has additional plans for His people in these times. We are on the verge of a great revival and harvest of souls, referred to as thre Great White Harvest or Billion Soul Harvest. We are commissioned by Jesus to be workers of the Harvest, to be willing vessels through whom God works to make disciples out of the nations (Matt 20:18-20). We have an important role to play on earth during this part of God’s timeline. What we will come into as God’s people continue to humble themselves and call on Him, is a Revolutionary Revival such as the world has never seen. We must get ourselves ready to do our part in God’s plan.

As a student of God’s Word and with a heart desiring to discern the times, I believe we are about to see a move of God on behalf of America, and as a result the world, that is very similar to the turn of events we read about in Esther. The very gallows Haman had built to annialite the Jews–God’s peoplel–were used to hang Haman. I believe we should expect to see the evil people have been perpetrating against God’s people today be turned against the perpetrators as God answers our prayers, reveals His providential care, and prevents the enemy from continuing his evil plans. Many will be shocked and it will take days for them to recover. But as things continue to be revealed, we will unanimously agree it was God’s intervention on behalf of His people that spared us, and all glory will be His.

What Compells God to Intervene?

Divine intervention is when God steps in and miraculously changes the outcome of a situation. Divine intervention demonstrates the undeniable existence and power of God.

The contentious presidential election for the United States, with the many claims of fraud and illegal actions, has caused the entire world to intently watch the final outcome. For all people who want truth, law and order to prevail it appears divine intervention is the only hope. But what compels God to intervene in the affairs of humanity?

While there are many biblical examples of God’s  intervention in the affairs of humanity. Perhaps after the great flood, the most famous is His parting of the Red Sea so His people, the Israelites, could escape the pursuit of the Egyptian army. (Exodus 14)

Clearly the parting of the Red Sea provided the way of escape from harm for God’s people. But are there other times when God intervened and produced an outcome that brought harm? I think the answer to this is both “Yes” and “No.”

In the story of the Exodus, God lead His people from slavery by the Egyptians to freedom to worship Him in the promised land. Scholars estimate the trek should have taken the Israelites about eleven days. However, not knowing where the promised land was, they were reliant upon God who caused His people to wander in the wilderness for forty years.

Why would God intervene in the lives of His people in this way? Because there was a generation of unbelieving people who prevented the entire people from entering the promised land. In God’s wisdom, he caused His people to wander in the wilderness, until the unbelievers died off and His people were therefore purged from the sinful influence.

Similarly, Moses sent ten spies to scope out the land of Canaan and its inhabitants to get intelligence how best to defeat the people to take over the promised land. Eight of the ten spies returned fearful with reports that evoked great fear in the Israelites. In response, God intervened and caused the eight to suffer a plague and die. Of the ten spies only Joshua and Caleb remained alive. (Nu. 14) Then we read about the rebellion of Korah (Nu. 16) when God intervened yet again, causing the ground to open up and swallow Korah and all the households and people who belonged to Korah, followed by a fire that came from God to consume 250 men who despised God, followed by a plague that consumed 14,700.

The Exodus story also reveals repeated undisputed acts of God on behalf of His people, beginning with ten plagues God brought upon Pharaoh and the Egyptians without the Israelites being harmed, to God’s provision of water from a rock, bread from heaven (manna) and meat (quail) each day as they wandered in the wilderness.

For these reasons I believe divine intervention produces benefit for the faithful and harm for the rebellious. So, what would divine intervention look like for us in America, given all the evidence of rebelliousness and faithfulness we’ve seen in recent times? I believe more than any other time in our existence, our prayers must be for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, while we choose to remain in complete submission to His perfect wisdom.

Considering the New Year 2021

Worldwide people are ready to be done with 2020 because of the many horrific events and losses we’ve suffered. However, I believe this perspective is limited to a temporal and carnal perspective. Let’s take a few moments to reconsider God’s plan and how we can best align ourselves to be part of His plan.

We tend to want to think of starts and stops, lines of delineation and demarcation to sever what is unpleasant from what we believe is better. Yes, God does tell us to bind what is not of Him and to loose what is His will, but that is to be done within His timeline, not in an effort to create our own timeline.

God’s Timeline is a Continuum

The Old Testament was not nullified by the New Testament. Rather, the Old Testament was fulfilled by the New Testament and because the New Testament builds on the Old, we who live in the New Testament are blessed to live in a new and better covenant. Some of the legal requirements of the Abrahamic Covenant were completely fulfilled by Jesus, but the blessings and benefits of other Old Testament covenants continue to this day, along with the additional benefits Jesus provided for the New Testament.

God’s Covenant is for the Seed of Abraham

Unfortunately, many have been misled over the centuries and have made a distinction, even separated Christianity from its Jewish roots. This is a deception of the enemy in attempt to disempower followers of Christ. Our focus needs to be restored to the truth from the Apostle Paul in Galatians 3:28-29 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.

God’s Calendar of Events is Ours to Discover

The Jewish New Year of 5781 began September 20, 2020. Rosh Hashanah began at sundown on September 18th, and continued through nightfall on September 20th. Look at ALL that has happened since then until December 31, 2020! The culmination of the CORONA Virus and the increased lockdowns especially in New York and California and the Presidential election . . .

The Hebrew year 5780 was the year of the letter PEY which represents the mouth, meaning to speak, blow, word, speech, breath, with emphasis on the truth that our words bring reality into existence.

COVID-19 was used by the enemy to silence us and prevent us from using the power of our mouth or voice to counter his efforts. Despite all the enemy has done, the year 5780 was the year of revelation, whereby God continued to reveal corruption and deception. God’s people have had the power to overcome the enemy, but by and large we have not stepped into our roles. I believe, this was the permissive will of God to cause His people to observe and learn much more before we speak, to better understand the power of our words.

Look back—what words did you use? What characterized your speech in 2020? We must understand our spoken words are merely expression our thoughts. Our words reveal our heart. Were your words that of fear, dread, frustration and anxiety? Or were they words of confident faith and declarations of God’s will to be done? Either way, we have all been given the year 2020 to realign our hearts with the word and will of God.

The enemy used the power of the airwaves to spew propaganda and repeated bad news to keep people in fear—unable to effectively speak to change his efforts. During 5780 we were forced to reevaluate all we believe, all we want in our lives and what we want to live for.

As of September 20, 2020, we entered the Hebrew year 5781. Since late September we have been in the second year of the decade of the mouth (the 80s is the decade of the mouth).

Now, in this second year, having been exposed to many truths and realities we were otherwise unaware of, we are repositioned with boldness and equipped with truth on our side to bolster us. Those who have pressed into the Spirit are expecting God to move in our behalf in mighty ways in 2021 and the years that follow.

Considering the Numeric Meaning for the New Year

Aleph is the Hebrew number 1. The pictograph looks like an ox, which represents strength and power of God, which is the only way we can accomplish His will. On our own we are incapable. In this second year of the decade of the mouth, God has fortified us and added strength of understanding, purpose and focus to accomplish His will on earth as it is in Heaven. The number 1 also represents God/sovereignty.

Joel 2:28 reveals the Lord will send His Spirit upon all flesh and men will speak God’s Word.

“And it shall come to pass afterward,

    that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh;

your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,

    your old men shall dream dreams,

    and your young men shall see visions.

 

Boldness and Courage characterize 5781 as God’s people have had enough, have sought God, and are now recharged and reenergized to do His Kingdom will on earth. 2 Tim 1:6-7 is significant for 2021/5781.

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God,

which is in you through the laying on of my hands,

for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

 

Hey is the Hebrew number 5. The letter Hey means grace and is comprised of 4 plus 1. The number 4 represents material completeness and the number 1 represents God/unity. God is a triune being—a unity in and of Himself. As we unite with Him, we all become one with Him.

It was on the fourth day (number 4) of Creation when God (number 1) created all the conditions for life to exist (Gen. 1:24-19).

The number 5 in a pictograph looks like a man with raised hands, expressing our creative power through praising God. This is applicable to all the years in the millennial 5000. The number 5 represents completion of creation followed by redemption. God’s grace, strength, empowerment, and blessing.

I believe the years in the 5000s God has set all matters in place on the earth for the new life/new beginning that will be seen in greater measure in the 80s and beyond. Additional: The next decade is 5790s. The number 9 is interesting: 9 fruits of the Spirit, 9 Beatitudes. The number 9 is the last of single digits = the end, full measure, conclusion, final, judgement.

Zayin is the Hebrew number 7. The letter Zayin means spiritual perfection or completion. The number 7 is comprised of 6 plus one. The number 6 is man, the number 1 is God and with God man is made perfect. Pictograph looks like a plow and means sword or nourishment. The number 7 means full, satisfied, enough, fullness of time, sabbath rest for man. This applies to all years of 700.

Remember Hebrews night of Passover ate ready to depart to the new land/promised land with sword in hand. Thus there is urgency in our remaining ready, alert, and properly nourished to respond to God the moment He comnands.

Chet is the number 8. The letter Chet and looks like a wall and means separation. A wall to establish the former from the latter, to establish a new beginning. However, not as in starting over, but in a new focus on the continuum.

The number 8 means to make fat, superabound, abound with strength, super fertility. The number 8 is comprised of the number 7 which is completion plus 1, which is God. The number 8 then is the first number of a second series – new beginning. This applies to the decade of the 80’s.

Aleph is the Hebrew number 1. The letter Aleph and looks like an ox and means strength and leader. This applies to the second year of the decade of the 80s and gives us the focus for the specific year. We are to go forward in 5781/2021 with the strength of an ox, leading the way for God’s will to be done, (number 1).

Summary of the Second Year in the Current Decade

Putting it together, we are to enter 5781/2021 by God’s creative power/grace, (number 5) confident we have been perfected (number 7) for this task, to establish a new beginning (number 8) a new rule and reign of God, with the strength of an ox (number 1) leading the way to restore God’s will by decreeing and declaring His word (decade of the 80s is the mouth) attracting the billion soul harvest predicted before Christ’s return.

Themes of what we should expect for the year 5781/2021 include:

A reset: a new beginning
Unity: young and old, rich and poor, educated and not, etc.
Boldness/Courage
New leaders to emerge
Our age does not diminish our ability
Supernatural events/words that heal
Strength from God to lead
Increased awareness of actual vs. decoy spiritual battles
Essential to maintain proper alignments, relationships with people of faith
Protection from God (Since God is for us who can be against us?)
Expectation of a tough year, but in our weakness He is strong.

God who is the creative power and Who is the beginning of all things has given you the burden for the people and He is encouraging you not to look backward to your past, but keep plowing and continue being useful to God’s Kingdom realm.

For the weapons of your warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God. (1 Cor. 10:4). It is energized with the divine power which will bring healing, nourishment, food to people. It will dismantle all the false defenses behind which people hide, and give them the new hope and restoration of all things.

At this hour you must come out of gatherings where there is unbelief, separate yourself from those who have bad influence on your life and present yourself as the living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. God has commissioned you to represent Him and in the meantime the Lord will protect you and guard your heart from evil.

You are appointed by God to lead and He will empower you to do that. He will renew your strength because you put your hope in Him. The words you speak are the words of wisdom. They are like deep waters that spring from within, building up those who have the desire to learn and live a different life.

Do not be weary doing good. Remember that the Lord will reward you for the good you do.

My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.

The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.

The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

Neutrality is Opposition

Neutrality is opposition. Inaction is action.

These matters we must understand especially in these unprecidented times.

In the years since the 2016 election, God has allowed the exposure of corruption beyond imagination to confront our faith and reveal our hearts and minds–not for His sake, but for ours.

With the parable of the persistent widow recorded in Luke 18, Jesus explains how the widow received justice from a godless or a lesser judge, because of her persistence. He then contrasted the judgment from the lesser judge to that of the greater judge, meaning God Himself. The point here is for us to have confidence of the complete and accurate justice we will see from God. Then after sharing this parable, Jesus wondered aloud in front of His disciples, “Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”

If Jesus were to return today, what do you think He’d find? We may be able to characterize the Church at Large, but I believe God is asking us to examine our own hearts. I am saddened to learn many of my legitimate brothers and sisters have attempted to take the position of being neutral–to avoid the controversy, corruption and evil in our midst. But just as God spoke to the Church of Laodicea in Revelation chapter three, “I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.”

Elsewhere in Scripture we read Jesus say, “Whoever is not for us is against us.” (Matt. 12:30, Luke 9:50, Mark 9:40). This statement also reveals whoever is not for us, is against us. This is a warning I believe God is highlighting for us today.

In the fall of 2019, I was seeking God for insight as to what we should expect in 2020. I clearly heard God state, “Justice.” So when events beginning with COVID-19 began to be known, and all that came with it the entire year, including the 2020 presidential election, I have not been moved. I realize, in order for God to administer justice, He must first expose injustice. The corruption is so great, far more than we’ve realized, that it was essential God show us. Were He to try to tell us, even if we were confident it was God speaking, we’d have a tough time accepting it. No, the depth of corrupt injustice is so deep, God needed to reveal it precisely as He has all year long.

While the past few years, and especially 2020, have been violently revealing corruption, I have been able to maintain a confident faith, because I’m certain about God, His will, His character, His intent, and His authoritative power. I’m confident because I have come through a great number of deep, personal trials without allowing fear, or dread to drown out my knowledge of God, therefore fortifying my faith. Not that I have done this on my own; rather I have learned what it is to abide in Jesus no matter what the circumstances. The best way we learn anything is through experience. People can tell us an important lesson, but the lessons we never have to learn again come through personal experience.

I’ve said before, “Every trial we’ve endured today, is intended by God to prepare and strengthen us for the trials ahead.” This perspective about God has helped me persevere in the faith until I come through the trial or test of my faith. God does not test us to shame us, but to show us what we lack so we can be strengthened and partner with Him and His ways. Successfully abiding in Christ means we have had our faith developed to such an extent that fear and dread do not overwhelm us. Not that we won’t experience a measure of fear and dread, but we will not be moved from our confident faith in God.

With the example of the persistent widow, we must learn the importance of spiritual tenacity and deliberate action. The widow first took her case before God in prayer. Then she took her case to the judge to contend in the faith for her prayers to be realized. This is the example we need today. It takes courage and persistence. I believe God puts us in places where we need to apply courage and persistence as a means for us to demonstrate our faith. When we demonstrate our faith in the natural, God adds His super and we’ll experience super natural results.

With the presidential election of 2020 and all that has occurred this year, the last thing we should do is to grow weary in well doing. Instead, we must seek God to add to our courage daily and to reveal His strategies for our success. America is a nation in covenant with God, but God will never act contrary to the will of His people. If we want to see our nation restored to righteousness–if we want to see our government’s integrity restored–if we want to see the godly influence of America exttend to other nations in the world (whose people have been praying for us to succeed knowing it will impact them) then we must act on our faith.

This is NOT about preference for any candidate, but about assuring fair and accurate elections now and in the future. Every American should want this. Those who don’t are clearly on the wrong side of truth and God.

Many Christians have wrongly concluded their vote doesn’t matter. In this critical election where corruption is being exposed, I woudn’t want to be one of those Christians who didn’t vote and have to answer to God. If you are among those who didn’t vote, please seek the Lord now and confess your lack of stewardship of your American citizenship, and seek to do what you can to make things right. There are still many things we can do to partner with God to expose corrution, bring about justice, and restore America’s election integrity and governmental process. I ask you to consider doing any of the following without delay:

If you live in any of the contested states, WI, PA, GA, AZ, MI, contact your legislatures and tell them you expect them to produce  fair and honest election consistent with the laws and constitution.
Those living in all other states, contact the legislatures of the 5 contested states to say you are a citizen if the United States and you expect them to produce fair and honest election results consistent with the laws and constitution as their state election impacts the national presidential election.
If you live in states that used the Dominion tally system, contact your legislatures and tell them you do not trust the published election results and demand an audit of the results.
If you can financially contribute, understand that attorney’s Sidney Powell and L. Lin Wood and the American Center for Law and Justice can use donations to help them in their litigation.

I realize many Christians are living in fear, in these unprecidented times of 2020, because they have been listening to wrong voices, and abiding with a false narrative. Prayer consistent with God’s will is only part of what we’re called to do. Practical deeds in support of our prayers is the other part. We are not helpless, if we pray and practically partner with God to see His will done on earth as it is in heaven.

It is my prayer that this blog post will quicken and empower my brothers and sisters in Christ so we take a visible stand—put our feet to our prayers for God’s righteousness to be visible and change the culture of the world.

We must be prepared for the Billion Soul Harvest that will be birthed from the depravity being revealed. All the reasons you read in this post, inspired me to write Prepare for the Harvest! Exploring the Evidence in Pursuit of Truth

As an apologetics enthusiast, I eat up anything that provides objective, verifiable evidence in support of the Bible, which in turn validates the Christian Faith. In writing my book Examine Your Faith! Finding Truth in a World of Lies, I thoroughly enjoyed writing about the extensive extra-biblical, historical and archeological evidence which validates specific claims in the Bible. Those who say Christians are unenlightened and practice a blind faith (that is faith that has no substantiation) actually reveal how unenlightened they are. We who have the truth must share with those who are deceived, with the understanding no one wants to be deceived. And with awareness that the only way a person can become aware of their deceived state is for their faith –their belief system–to be challenged.

We must always express our deep respect and love for others when sharing the truth of the Christian faith. Understand know one likes to learn they’ve been wrong on a matter. Additionally, most of us believe what we do because we were taught the specific belief system from someone highly respected in our lives, such as a parent or teacher or mentor. To even reconsider what significant influencers taught us can  be tremendously uncomfortable and feel like an affront to those we revere. Yet, if the person we seek to reach agrees what we believe in this lifetime determines where we spend eternity, then we have an excellent starting point to appeal to the individual. With understanding they will likely feel defensive, I like to ask questions. Making inquiry about what they believe and why causes them to articulate their beliefs and allows us to appeal to any fallacy of logic or lack of factual evidence. It is imperative we never come off sounding like we’re telling a person what to believe, but instead compassionately reconsidering their beliefs so they can be convinced it is based on solid truth. When appealing to a claim they make, we should simply ask, “Why do you believe that?” We must also be sensitive and good at reading what they don’t say, or body language, to know when to give the conversation a rest. Remember, it is incumbent upon the person who makes a claim to substantiate it. We won’t be successful if we substantiate our beliefs with the claim “Because the Bible says so” to a person who does not believe the Bible is anything other than folklore–which a growing number of people believe. We don’t want to say or do anything that elicits defensiveness or a combative atmosphere. The compassion of Christ must be our guide.

We must also be ready in season and out to give a reason for the hope within us, (1 Tim. 4:2). When you lead a person down a particular topical path, it’s a good idea to make sure  you know how to defend the truth of the matter from the Christian world and biblical view. History and Archeology are two excellent topics that help us to present objective, verifiable evidence in support of the claims of Christianity. I find asking people what they believe about truth is the best place to start. Truth in and of itself is innocuous, whereas asking what they believe about Jesus or the Bible could get you off to a bad start.

Truth is a matter that’s been redefined in our present day culture. Many people claim “Truth is relative.” Such individual would say ‘There is no such thing as absolute truth.” However, take note. That second statement is in and of itself an absolute claim. Either truth is relative or it is absolute, but it cannot be both. See if you can bring the person to agree on the following three points:

Truth must always line up with reality
Only one thing can be true and all opposing matters are false
The truth is universal (the color red is red anywhere in the world.)

By first agreeing about with truth is, then you can begin a rediscovery process about matters that are true or not. Also, keep in mind, discovering truth is a process.  We can easily have our beliefs challenged in a way that brings us to add to our understanding of truth or replace a concept we once held as true. It’s not a once and done effort, but a process of discovery over a lifetime. Explaining that discovery of truth is a process is another way to quell any defensiveness, because we all encounter issues on a daily basis that may influence what we conclude to be true.

Where Is God in All This? Prophetic Word from God

 

Recently in preparation for a message I needed to bring to the Huntington Beach Women’s Aglow Lighthouse, I sought the Lord for a  fresh word. What He gave me was powerful and when presented the Holy Spirit had clearly arrested the hearts and minds of those attending. It was one of the most impactful messages I’ve ever had the privilege to present. Wanting God’s word to be available to you, I have recrafted it into two parts to be presented on my podcast, and offer some highlights here.

Here is the word I heard. Please read it with a discerning heart and mind to determine if it resonates in your spirit for you to act upon.

Break the Curse! Arise and Shine for this is the Day—this is the Time. I am calling you out and I am calling you forth. I am speaking to the new spirit I put in you the day you genuinely called out to Me. Listen to Me with your new spirit. Cast off the old man and the mindset of your natural man. When you operate from your natural self, your old nature, you are cooperating with the devil. It is the devil who seeks to keep you down, fearful immobile and ineffective. I am calling you up to a much higher place than you’ve ever known. Arise My daughters! Now is the time of the Esther anointing. Arise My sons! Now is the time for the Mordecai Anointing.

Listen to Me with Your new spirit. Close your eyes and focus your mind on Me. I am Jesus the One who has fully demonstrated My love for you. I gave My life for you. My life now lives within you. You are no longer your own. You’ve been bought with a price. You’ve been bought with My very own blood. My love for you is holy, pure and unending. You have not properly kept your focus on Me. You have allowed your focus to be on what the enemy is doing instead of what I have done.

What I have done has already completely and utterly defeated the enemy. You must not fear. When you allow fear into your soul, you give the enemy power. Look only to Me. Look at what I have already done. What I have done has eternal impact on all things. Eternal impact means power over the past, power over the present, and power over the future. There is nothing the enemy can do to harm you, unless you give him leeway. The enemy has no power over you, unless you focus on him. Choose, willingly choose, deliberately choose, with all your strength to turn your focus on Me and to maintain your focus on Me, regardless of circumstances.

I am the Light of the World. It is My light through you that dispels darkness, that exposes evil and corruption wherever it exists. I have been shining My light on evil and corruption this year like never before in your lifetime. I am calling you forth to be My beacons of light in this dark and dying world. Too many of My people have been in hiding. Some have been hiding because of fear of the enemy and the havoc he’s wrecked on this world. Some have been hiding in preference for the allures of this world and focus on themselves and satisfying their own desires. Others have been in hiding because they are deceived and don’t properly know about Me. I am calling all of you out. All of you who belong to Me, I am calling you out now. I am calling you to come forth—walk in to the light and to be the light!

It is in the light where you will see clearly. It is My light that will purify you. It is in My light that you are completely safe. It is from My light that you must now operate, My sons and daughters. This is the Day—this is the Time I am calling you out, and I am calling you forth.

Clearly the Lord is asking you, is asking us all, to hear Him, to step into His light and to be prepared to operate in the victory He has already secured for us.

Based on that Word from the Lord then, this article will explore and help us embrace the Esther/Mordecai Anointing.

What is the Esther/Mordechai Anointing? It is a keen sense of discernment of the times, and personal willingness to risk ourselves for the sake of others, all for the glory of God. It is an unwavering recognition that you have been born for such a time as this and God is relying on you to fulfill your calling. If you have not read the story of Esther in the Old Testament in a while, please consider reading it before you read more of this article.

The book of Esther emphasizes the sovereignty of God, and how in His sovereignty He seeks to partner with His people to accomplish His will. It reveals the importance of His people remaining in close intimate communication with Him to discern the actions He wants us to take.

Just like Mordecai offended Haman, resulting in Haman plotting to annihilate the entire Jewish race, the mere existence of Christians today has offended many in the secular culture who seek to “do away” with us and all we stand for. The enemy of God and those who do his bidding, have placed a curse on us, and openly work to render us entirely non-essential, and strip us of our constitutional rights. While God’s people today are crying out “Where is God in all this?” God is responding “Where are My people?” Clearly, the Lord reveals we have been wrongly influenced by fear, which only empowers the enemy of God. Instead, God is asking us to adjust our focus and gain confidence based on what He has already done to defeat the enemy. God is asking us to stand up, stand strong, stand courageous with the confidence of all He has already done. God is asking Christians today to partner with Him to cause the enemy to retreat and properly establish God’s light as the ruling standard.

With the wisdom of Mordecai understanding the severity of the times, and the courage of Esther to expose the truth regardless of the risk, so too must we respond to our current times. We have each one been born for such as time as this. God is looking for those who will willingly partner with Him to see His victory realized. I ask, will this be you?

Stand Up to Confusion

What looks like political opposition, anarchy and terrorism is actually the enemy of God seeking to destroy anything he can–especially all that is important to God. What we are witnessing is the battle between evil and righteousness.

While COVID-19 has impacted the world giving ample opportunity for fear-mongering, God is at work exposing the corruption and bringing justice. Depending on the news sources you rely upon, you will not know the truth of the times we’re living in. Deceiving people is the enemy’s specialty.

Hearing of the protests and rioting in Atlanta, Bakersfield, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Denver, Des Moines, Detroit, District of Columbia, Houston, Los Angeles, Louisville, Memphis, Minneapolis, New York City, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, and San Jose and it seems the whole nation is under siege.

Learning that some cities are ravaged night after night while the elected officials who are to serve the people permit it, is entirely inconsistent with any rule of law and order. Hearing the mantra “Defund the Police.” to any rational mind is simply giving carte blanche to evil.

Governors ordering us to wear masks and stay inside, limiting the number of people in gatherings, not permitting churches or home groups to sing or chant and then ordering churches not to open. while bars and abortion clinics are permitted to remain open and clearly common sense has been assaulted, while our rights are violated.

The tearing down of historical statues with narrative that they represent evil agendas perpetrated by people against others, seems like senseless and chaotic destruction, unless you understand the method to the madness.

Consider the above with conflicting news reports about COVID-19 prevention and treatment, censorship of news and it becomes apparent there is an intelligent, albeit violent and destructive, planned effort underway.

Without a doubt what we are observing, and sadly some personally experiencing, is an all out attempt by the enemy to overpower and control us. What we need to understand is our responsibility in it all.

Sir Edmond Burke is quoted to have written, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Are you aware of what prompted him writing this? It was the sin of giving into political apathy. If Christians are surprised at the current events, it’s evidence of their willful ignorance concerning our culture–the very culture Jesus commissioned us to reach and teach about Him, (Matthew 28:18-20).

Our confusion stems from being uninvolved in cultural realities, being deceived about the extended reach of evil and corruption in every one of the seven mountains of society (Business, Education, Arts/Entertainment, Media, Family, Government and Religion).

Where Christian influence has been withdrawn, a vortex is created for the enemy to fill.

Some might ask why has God allowed this? And I believe the answer is because we have permitted it. Through complacency, apathy and neglect, we–the good men and women–have done nothing.

The urgency to address the lawlessness demands good men and women to intentionally get involved. To wake up to the reality that this world has always been in a battle with the enemy of God. Yes, Jesus has secured the victory, but the war is not over.

The Bible is clear, deception and confusion are of the enemy. He uses these tactics to prevent us from knowing the truth and to put us in a place of panic and fear. It causes us to turn on one another giving him victory. But let us recognize the enemy only has as much power as we give him.

What can we do? Follow the instructions from God to repent, humble ourselves, pray and seek God to heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14). And take what the Apostle James expressed to heart: “Faith without works is dead” (James 2:26). Now more than ever we need good men and women to get engaged with the “Cancel Culture” and work to restore ration, reason, law and order. We need to be part of the long-overdue reformation and we need it to begin now without compromise.

I’m confident God is calling each one of us to do something to join Him in His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Are you a teacher? Stand up to the confusion and ungodly curriculum our children have been subjected to. Are you a school administrator? Stand up to the control of the union to the detriment of our students and schools. Are you a doctor or other medical professional? Stand up to the lies the organized media is telling about prevention, spread and cure for COVID-19. Are you an attorney? We need you to help us generate the much-needed class action law suits. Have you ever considered running for the school board, city council, or state offices? We need you now more than ever. Are you a homemaker? Learn where you can volunteer or write Op-Ed pieces to counter the destructive narrative of our day. Are you a student? Learn the truth about our nation’s history and how students have been brainwashed for decades by revisionist history.

In fact, I recommend that we all become reacquainted with the truth of our nation, our constitutional rights, and realize our government is for and by the people. WE are the ones who have the power to turn the Cancel Culture around, if it’s important enough to us–for ourselves and our future generations.

The Warfare of Worship

Father, I pray in all earnest for Your people to wake up, and rise up, and shout the truth from the roof tops. We desperately need to see Your will done on earth as it is in heaven, and we intentionally unite in worship, which is the greatest weapon of spiritual warfare we have. Hear our united worship of You God, as we seek Your intervention in our behalf.

We have freedom in America unlike any other nation or nations of the past. Let us understand the blood that was shed for the freedoms we enjoy and decide to not let their brave sacrifices be in vain, Amen. Let us take hold of the truth that it was the blood of Jesus that gave all men the ability to be completely free from evil. Let us no longer tolerate the increase of evil and wickedness! The enemy has lied to us from the start and the Scriptures that speak of the end times do not negate the instructions and mandates You’ve given us to occupy until You return! Even in the last days Your people who remain on earth are NOT to accept the increase of evil! There are many Christians who are accepting and resigned to the evil all around us wrongly believing it’s supposed to be this way because of what Scriptures say about the end times. No! Christians are never to be resigned to evil, only and ever to God with faith in Jesus, Amen. Wake us up out of our slumber Lord and empower us from on high that we indeed do greater works than Jesus did. Lord, let us be the forerunners of a major revival reformation—the billion soul harvest Bob Burns prophesied, Amen.

Lord this are violent times, requiring a violent response and Your people are to take the kingdom of darkness by force, Matthew 11:12. The idea that Christians are not to be involved in government is a lie from the pit of hell! America was founded by Christians so that all citizens of the Unites States would be involved. We have a government that was established for and by the people! It has been the lack of involvement by Christians that has allowed evil to advance. Lord, make it clear in the minds of Your people that we are in a spiritual war that’s being played out in our natural world. Like it or not we are in a war and we are either for You or against You. Forgive us father, help us repent and take our rightful place in Your plan.

Lord, teach us to apply our faith in our daily lives and to utilize the power and authority we have from You and that we have as citizens of the United States which is still, although barely, a government for and by the people. Let us not roll over and pull the covers up but put on the full armor of God. I ask You to motivate American Christians to write to their elected officials, reminding them that they are to represent us not dictate to us. Reminding them that it is from the backs of our hard labor that taxes are paid and they receive their salary from us. They are employed by us! Rise up men and women to organize and use our rights to turn leadership back around under righteousness, for the good of the people—all people—not just the self-appointed elite. Let our prayers and our pens be our choice weapons of warfare. For governments to tell us we cannot meet to worship You is unacceptable and a gross violation of the rights we have as American citizens. We Christians must not accept the control the government has sought to impose upon us. We Christians are not to accept the lies of the enemy being spewed all over the media. By Your Holy Spirit, Lord, give us the needed discernment we must have to see through the smoke and mirrors.

Father I think of our martyred brothers and sisters in other parts of the world who suffer gross religious persecution. They do not have the freedom we have and they are observing Christians in America allowing evil to increase I shudder at the thought of their observing us.  Lord give them hearts to forgive us and pray for us to take a stand on their behalf.

Father, continue to expose the corruption and bring justice swiftly. Father, remove from office those who are seeking to change America to a communist, socialist, Marxist nation. Father subdue China and Russia. Fortify President Trump and all who are in positions to help in these times to call-out the terrorists, those who are committing treason, and those who perpetrate unimaginable evils upon the innocent. Give voices to the voiceless who have been harmed and cause their perpetrators to be apprehended and brought to justice, Amen. Cause Antifa, BLM, human trafficking, drug trafficking, middle eastern ideologies that want to destroy America, and more to be round up and apprehended. Let us see You at work in our nation, Almighty God.

I know You can zap anything into existence anytime You want. At the same time You have chosen to limit Yourself to our free will. Father, forgive us for being apathetic and complacent concerning You. We have reaped what we deserve. But we appeal to You Father, to hear our prayers of repentance and to help us and heal our land, according to 2 Chronicles 7:14, Amen. Raise up the existing voices calling for Christians to wake up to even greater heights: Franklin Graham, Mario Murillo, Lance Wallnau, Mark Taylor, Dennis Prager, David Barton, Chuck Pierce, Cindy Jacobs, Kent Christmas, and more. Give rise to voices such as mine to help rally the troops for this very place in time and history where You’ve ordained us to be alive and make a Kingdom difference, Amen. Help us Lord to hear from You and to do Your will on earth as it is in heaven. Assign all the warring and ministering angels possible to help us God, for Your glory, and the benefit of many, Amen.

Lord, make it clear in the minds of Your people that we are in a spiritual war that’s being played out in our natural world. Like it or not we are in a war and we are either for You or against You. Forgive us father, help us repent and take our rightful place in Your plan.

Lord, teach us to apply our faith in our daily lives and to utilize the power and authority we have from You and that we have as citizens of the United States which is still, although barely, a government for and by the people. Let us not roll over and pull the covers up but put on the full armor of God. I ask You to motivate American Christians to write to their elected officials, reminding them that they are to represent us not dictate to us. Reminding them that it is from the backs of our hard labor that taxes are paid and they receive their salary from us. They are employed by us! Rise up men and women to organize and use our rights to turn leadership back around under righteousness, for the good of the people—all people—not just the self-appointed elite. Let our prayers and our pens be our choice weapons of warfare. For governments to tell us we cannot meet to worship You is unacceptable and a gross violation of the rights we have as American citizens. We Christians must not accept the control the government has sought to impose upon us. We Christians are not to accept the lies of the enemy being spewed all over the media. By Your Holy Spirit, Lord, give us the needed discernment we must have to see through the smoke and mirrors.

Father I think of our martyred brothers and sisters in other parts of the world who suffer gross religious persecution. They do not have the freedom we have and they are observing Christians in America allowing evil to increase I shudder at the thought of their observing us.  Lord give them hearts to forgive us and pray for us to take a stand on their behalf.

Father, continue to expose the corruption and bring justice swiftly. Father, remove from office those who are seeking to change America to a communist, socialist, Marxist nation. Father subdue China and Russia. Fortify President Trump and all who are in positions to help in these times to call-out the terrorists, those who are committing treason, and those who perpetrate unimaginable evils upon the innocent. Give voices to the voiceless who have been harmed and cause their perpetrators to be apprehended and brought to justice, Amen. Cause Antifa, BLM, human trafficking, drug trafficking, middle eastern ideologies that wan to destroy America, and more to be round up and apprehended. Let us see You at work in our nation, Almighty God.

I know You can zap anything into existence anytime You want. At the same time You have chosen to limit Yourself to our free will. Father, forgive us for being apathetic and complacent concerning You. We have reaped what we deserve. But we appeal to You Father, to hear our prayers of repentance and to help us and heal our land, according to 2 Chronicles 7:14, Amen. Raise up the existing voices calling for Christians to wake up to even greater heights: Franklin Graham, Mario Murillo, Lance Wallnau, Mark Taylor, Dennis Prager, David Barton, Chuck Pierce, Cindy Jacobs and more. Give rise to voices such as mine to help rally the troops for this very place in time and history where You’ve ordained us to be alive and make a Kingdom difference, Amen. Help us Lord to hear from You and to do Your will on earth as it is in heaven. Assign all the warring and ministering angels possible to help us God, for Your glory, and the benefit of many, Amen.
