RAGE***TEASER
Rage
Nathan was below me now, swatting off the zombie-looking creatures. He glanced up. “Are you seriously hiding in a f***ing tree, Atalia?”
“I’m not hiding,” I said with a pout.
“Really? Then get down and help, dammit!” Nathan growled fending off another zombie-thing.
I decided not to answer him and just watch, it was amazing the way his muscles rippled and clenched, the corner of his lush lips bled and although that should be gross, well I’m a vampire so it turned me on. He glanced up again, those midnight blue eyes narrowed and full of annoyance. That momentary distraction almost cost him when one of the zombie-like creature launched itself at him. Yanking the branch above my head, I jumped down, pushed Nathan out of the way and sank the wood into what I hoped was the heart of the creature.
It let out a guttural howl and dissolved into ashes. I turned around and batted my eyelashes at Nathan.
“See, I helped.”

RAGE ***TEASER***

“I know what you are,” the jock said with a shit eating grin.
“Yeah, and what is that?” I asked in a bored tone.
“A vampire!” he said.
Outside I appeared bored and calm, inside I was freaking the fuck out. How the hell would he know whether or not I was a vampire? I compelled him. I erased the entire episode of me feeding from him, so how did he know what I was?
“They said you existed but I didn’t believe them. They said we had a purpose, and they were right!” the jock babbled. “They said I would attract one and I did! You tried to compel me!”
I frowned. “Who the fuck are they? Who told you about vampires?”
More importantly how did this human resist my compulsion?
“Atalia, we need to compel him to forget!” Akiv said.
I sighed. “I tried compelling him when I fed off of him and now I realise it didn’t work. Plus you just mentioned my name! Not only does he know we’re vampires but he knows my name. Thank you, brother mine. We needed that icing on the cake.”
Dante came from the other side. “So what do we do now?”
“The only thing we can do,” I said, cracking my neck. “Kill him.”
“Atalia, wait—”
I zipped over in vampire speed and before anyone could blink the human’s body lay on the road and his heart slowed its beat on my palm. The smell of blood flooded our senses and our fangs descended. The hissing sounds that escaped our mouths were like a thousand snakes in a pit.
“Couldn’t you let us drain him?” Dante hissed.
“Smell his blood,” I hissed back. “I have no idea how he hid it earlier, but now there is something in it.”
Akiv turned his worried silver eyes on me. “You sure you’re okay? You ingested his blood!”
“I’m okay,” I said.
But I wasn’t.
I stared at the hot, blood filled heart in my palm. A sense of satisfaction filled my body. I liked it. I liked plunging my hand into his chest cavity and feeling the warm muscle and blood slide against my fist as I held his warm beating heart. I enjoyed the sound of the veins stretch and then give way, spurting more blood onto my hand. I enjoyed feeling the organ in my palm.
I was in deep shit.

Title Help
The book I'm currently working on is another New Adult book for those aged 17+
