Seattle PB readings – Aug. 11 & 12
I’m doing two readings from PREGNANT BUTCH in Seattle – August 11th & 12th, at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park and at Elliott Bay Books in Capitol Hill. I’m told they’re on opposite sides of town, so we shouldn’t have to worry about rival neighborhood gangs of natural childbirth enthusiasts and their bowtie-wielding dandy enforcers mixing it up. Peace, y’all!

I will be reading in Portland, Oregon this August 8 with Nicole J. Georges, author-artist of Calling Dr. Laura. Though Nicole self-describes as “barren,” she just took home the Best Graphic Novel prize from Lambda Lit.

Windy City Times covers U of Chicago Talk
University of Chicago CSGS Artist Salon hosts Kristen Schilt, Hillary Chute, Chase Joynt with A.K. Summers at May 1, 2014 Artist’s Talk, “Drawing Butchness with Comics.”
Windy City Times‘s Vern Hester came to my May 1 Artist’s Talk at the University of Chicago…but Vern left out his own brilliant after-the-talk suggestion that I send a copy of Pregnant Butch to Paul “Yer Havin’ My Babeh” Anka.
