Long before we were on the planet, rivers snaked their way through the sandstone of southern Utah, eventually tunneling a direct route through the places where the waters' path folded back on itself--like a candy ribbon--creating an arch. Amazing things can happen when a character decides the best way to deal with an obstacle is to plow through it . . .

I'm a firm believer that what goes around, comes around. When I write, I always try to capture that circle in my characters. And thought they 'get what they have coming,' it isn't always in the way you'd expect.
