Twitter, I have arrived! Also, NaNoWriMo…

Yeah, I know I have been conspicuous by my absence for a while, home life has been kind of taking over. I am trying to catch up with everything and everyone. In the meantime, I am still on Facebook and now (as of yesterday) I am on Twitter. my brand new, shiny Twitter account is under @VioletJCBooks and on Facebook I am Violet Joicey-Cowen.

NaNoWriMo is on its way far quicker than can be prepared for, which is okay as I am a total pantser anyway. It all goes horribly wrong if I try to plot thi...

Noah’s Reward

I am very happy to be able to announce that Noah’s Reward, the fourth book in my Whithowe Forest Pack series, is now on pre-order over at BookStrand. Noah and Astley were wonderful to write about. They knew they were meant for each other from the moment they met but had to wait for Astley to grow up. Then other problems began to show up…

14 random things

There is a chain thing going around on Facebook, you get tagged and have to post 14 random things about yourself, then tag others. Well, I did that, and now am posting my 14 things here as well.

1. I do most of my writing on my bed, in a pub near me called The Den, or in my local Café Nero.
2. When I am worrying about something, I cook, but when I am stressing badly, I clean. I apparently do not get stressed enough.
3. despite a pair of tights covering the slatted top, my baby stick insects ke...

Character Interview Blog Hop

I put out a call to see if there were any questions anyone would like me to put to members of the pack and here are the ones I received and the responses. The pack decided that the ones who would answer the questions are the ones whose books are already out, so I went off and met up with Perry, Charlie, Jake, and Daniel.

The questions I received were varied in type, some were specifically aimed at someone and others were more general. For the more general questions I let them decide amongst th...

Today! (Aug 20th 2013)

Hi all :)

Today Rebecca Joyce has been kind enough to have me guest post on her blog. Today is also release day for my second book, Another Way to Hide. Today I also went and had lunch at Pizza Hut with a friend and my son (thank god I had my iPad with me or I would have never got to talk to my friend at all!).

Go on over to Rebecca’s blogto see my post and take a look around while you are there.

Inspiration, perspiration, caffeine, snacks, and waiting.

Now you all get a peek inside my brain, which I have several times described to friends as having much in common with a flea on speed– jumping around all over the place with way too much going on all at once.

What do I do?

Random person: So, what do you do for a living?

Me: I’m a writer.

Random person: Oh, really? What do you write?

Me: Uh… I write erotic romance, mostly about gay men.
