Plan, plan ahead…
Warning: I’m about to go geek on y’all.
In my day job, I’m a marketer. And one of the things I’m called upon to do on a regular basis is come up with a marketing plan for a new product launch or a key initiative–whatever it is, it requires me to put together a comprehensive plan to accomplish some key marketing objectives.

Pre-heating the oven…
I think I may have mentioned once or twice that I love to bake… Besides writing, it’s one of the ways I get to express my creativity to the world. Reconnecting with my inner bookworm
I get my editorial letter in a few days. And as you can imagine, this has me filled with dread and excitement all at once. It also means I’m about to plunge back in to the editing/revising process for the next few weeks (possibly months) as I get the book ready for publication this fall. Because of that, I’ve decided to put the first draft of book 2 on hold, so I can concentrate on taking book 1 across the finish line.
Until I get my editorial letter, though, I have to fill the idle time withs...

Helping a cause that’s close to my heart…
Many of you are aware that I do a lot to support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I’ve been participating in their Team In Training program since 2005, raising over $16K for this amazing cause.
And I’m excited to announce that I’ll be participating in a really great event organized by a friend of mine who’s bringing together fans from various “fandoms” to donate fan fiction to help LLS! I’ll be donating an exclusive excerpt fromThe Polaris Uprising, as well as a raffle for the event.

Gratuitous food post
