More pretty roses
With August already zooming by, I realize how fleeting the days arethat my garden blesses me with such beauty. I hesitated to have roses.
Once before I put a lot of time into a huge roses garden only for it to be
nothing more than a meal for Japanese beetles. I have enjoyed the
plants and not a beetle one. Thus, I have been so rewarded with
their special beauty this year.

Congrats to Candy Thompson for her big win!
Candy Thompson, sister of the late Dawn Thompson, just won first place for her
Topsy-Tervy doll of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs - with the witch on theflip side. She placed for in the Oldham Co. Fair held this last week forhandcrafted division. The doll is totally hand-sewn, not from a pattern.
