Taking entries to the Kentucky State Fair

Just call me Taxi service.  Today I drove Candy to the Kentucky State Fair Grounds to enter five of her blue ribbon winners in the State Fair which Starts August 18th.

Mickey & Minnie hitching a ride on my dolly as we took them in Freedom Hall.  EVERYONE kept stopping us and bragging on them.  NO ONE passed that didn't Oooooh and Aahhhhh

They are already setting up for the fair which starts this coming Thursday

Candy had been working so hard that we haven't gone out to eat.  Hubby asked me last night if I was sick because I hadn't been out of the house for two days...lol.

I figure we both needed to relax.  Headed to Keepers Seafood and More.  I wasn't really in the mood for seafood, and Pam, the owner, had said they make a mean Angus Burger.  Local Kentucky Proud beef.  And oh this was SOOOO GOOOD!!

One Snowy Knight -- going and coming...lol

I just got the rights back on One Snowy Knight. Woot. I say a thank you to Kensington. LOVED the cover they did (very sad to lose it), but Noel will have a new home at the wonderful Prairie Rose Publications with a snazzy new cover by Jon Paul and with John DeSalvo. I think the cover is very fitting for a snowy knight...Picture me happy dancing!!  So look for Noel at his new home coming later this year!

Helping final with final things at the County Fair

I helped out for the closing out of the Cultural Arts section at the County Fair.  I did check out and presented the winners with their checks.

Candy took the claim tickets and brought them their items.

Candy Blue Ribbon winners -- six of them - and one read.  Five of the ribbons winners will go on to the State Fair next weekend

Unicorn hat, Snowman hat, the Christmas Mouse and Mickey and Minney are Candy's

Snoopy got beat out by a three foot tall Octopus, but that's okay.  WLKY Channel 32 had him on the weather program Friday at 5:30 am.


 Afterwards back to Keepers to kick back and have a relaxing lunch!

At General Butler State part for aunt's 80th Birthday

We had a buffet lunch -- which was really great and got to enjoy the beautiful lodge
