I miss Staring Brat 2

That’s a shame isn’t it?I was sitting today in the middle of yet another miserable situation at work, looking at the other person who used to work on the project and thinking how much I miss him.

You never can tell what’s going to float your boat.  Apparently I like being stared at and having a nervous wreck quivering whilst being horrible to me.  Apparently that’s my thing.

You’re a horrid boy for being married and annoying. Sulks.

They fired the first person yesterday

Things are pretty normal in Land of the Disposable People.  They fired the first of our team yesterday.  I assumed it would be me as the epicentre of potential trouble, but no, instead they went for a ferociously bright Muslim girl of 30 who is temporarily discombobulated by the fact that she is about to be forced into an arranged marriage.

She is quite difficult to have a direct conversation with because of her temporary confusion, but she has had some great jobs, so she certainly isn’t dim.

This is likely to continue for the next three months or so until they get rid of not only the team I am in, but the team they took on following it, which is even bigger, and the reason is nothing to do with our work, presentation, actions or manner.

No, the reason is that we are working for a global company, who used a global agency, who paid a global rate.

Since 2014 I have scanned the national job advertisements and there is now a significant difference, up to 100 percent in places in wages for the same job at the same company, just on the grounds of where you live in the UK.

Remarkably few people are aware of this, because most people have a significantly easier time finding work than I do.

This is because my CV indicates that I am likely to know more about the job I am doing than they do and employers do not like it. I was comparing notes with a 19 year old who tends to get the jobs I do not get, and he was horrified at the jobs I was not to be considered for.

That, however is not the point of today’s post.  The point of today’s post is that diversity statistics are maintained by companies who can say that they took on at the correct ratio via an agency, and then fire them by any means they feel like, because like me, these people have no rights. This is not useful, cheap or interesting.

I was informed by a 20 something man in a heavy metal t shirt and knee length denim cargo shorts of the dress code yesterday.  I did not laugh.

I was again hassled about my diet, this time by a pregnant air stewardess who knows jack shit about food.  I am likely to lose my temper very quickly if i get any more bullshit from morons this year, so I left the area rather quickly. My mother was killed by fucking morons on behalf of greedy morons.  I am not in the mood.

Explained the logo to some amused morons.  They still can’t explain to me why a joyful middle aged woman is so shocking.

What the fuck are you feeding yourselves? This is an ideocracy.

Hey Stalkers, Story Going Well

It’s nearly done.  I will post as soon as it is ready.

It’s so good, I love it.

VPNs are not particularly good for your computers, and it’s really obvious, so you might as well just continue using as normal.

Lying for Money

I’ve never lied to a company once in the course of my life, and I am not starting now.

This is not an easy way of life.  Most, if not all people lie for money.  I don’t.

My reasoning being that on my father’s side I have a proud history to live up to, and the rest of the family aren’t capable of it, nor do they even know about it, because my father did not choose to tell them.

I had an induction this week indicating that I am expected to lie.  I don’t plan to.  The offer on the table is not particularly edifying.

Explained the situation with the staring brats, in very vague terms.  They will be asking me more about this.  I look forward to it.  I still don’t plan to lie to them.

If Boris would care to get in touch, I am close to being free enough to be of some help if he wants. I’m very pissed off with how things are going.

Started walking again, finally after the revolting events at the Scottish Government.  I just realised how horrible that place was.  I was quite right to kiss them goodbye.

Anyway, from tomorrow things may look even more whacky doodle, because I cannot lie.

I think businesses who ask their staff to lie to them deserve to fail.

Yay I still have two stalkers

Staring Brat 2 was kind enough to show his face, so I am content.

I was just explaining what happened this morning, and it struck me how comical the entire story is. It’s nice that I can see the funny side.

I think it might be a good angle to tell the story from the perspective of Staring Brat 1, so I might work on that ,  It’s a good exercise.  I’m an absolute bitch for not falling at his feet, naturally.

You can’t help things like lengthy history of being treated badly and the wildcard incident of Staring Brat 2.  That is quite literally the only time I have ever been sufficiently overcome by what I assume was hormones to turn a perfectly ordinary conversation into what turned out to be the beginning of a lengthy nightmare.

Someone was asking whether he was a stalker, given that I again described him as being spectacularly beautiful?  One male staff member said that surely only ugly people were stalkers or rapists? That’s not how it works in this case.

Well, yeah.  He has no intention of ever speaking to me,  he hasn’t seen me for five months and still feels the need to stare at the website.  That is a stalker.

He was clearly very interested in me and still went out of his way to damage me as much as possible.  That, again, is a stalker, not someone who gives a shit about you.

Most unfortunate, but that’s life.  I was still glad to see him yesterday.  He had a beautiful smile.  It is very sad that very few people are likely to get to enjoy it. I can’t help him with that.

Anyway, hard at work, I have a lot of things to do this week, so toodle pip

Where is Staring Brat 2?

I’m quite missing him actually, he’s been gone since before the weekend. Should he stop by, the bank is now banned from the website.

He’s probably bored.  So am I.

Collection is going well, looking a bit more fashiony than usual so far, but there is a long way to go.  This weekend has been very pink, but i got some good work done, and dug out some old stuff i had on the way for Wolfe, which I will finish off at the same time.

This is going to be a mammoth update, so it will take a little while to put together. The chair is not doing anything until the update is done, so don’t hang around until next autumn for that.

In the meantime, been turned down for another job I could easily do, which I have queried.

Met a creative person at work.  She said she was creative, but it seemed to involve watching youtube videos and visiting the CCA.  I did try not to say anything but I kind of did.

Anyway busy working towards the IRS and getting the taxation sorted out for Amazon, so once that’s done Ina will look a bit different and require a lot more work, which is tiresome but necessary.

After this update I will probably focus on the games and courses for further games.

No sign of the nice porn star, but I haven’t checked recently.  Met a cute Kurdish dude.

Not sure if I’m gaining or losing weight.  I haven’t been out much, because of the work, but some clothes are smaller and some much bigger, which is a bit odd.

Need to figure out some balance.  I’m getting a bit bored.

It’s the weekend, time for work

We get to Saturday night this week before I can start work, mainly because I spent any available breaks this week ahem working.  Went to  Broomhill and got a couple of coffees from Kothel to celebrate.

The shoes are at stage one, the handbag collection has grown, I have several sources of inspiration so there will be a number of new styles developing, plus some unfinished work.

Unsurprising Habits of Unsuccessful people is very popular with heavy duty writers, so we have a rather unexpected hit on our hands.  Not a huge number of downloads, but certainly critical acclaim.  I have created a mug to celebrate, and once I have my tax situation sorted out, hopefully this evening, I will be doing mugs for all the covers. You can find it on the free books page, and the mug is available from my store on etsy.

Busy busy,

Ina

And so the Brexit War truly begins …

My co-workers were today treated to the sight of a revolutionary Scottish Nationalist arguing with an English person that Brexit was good for the British economy rather than bad.

To put this apparently hilarious sight into some sort of context:

The English person has moved to Scotland to ‘get away from Brexit racism’ actually wants to live in Spain, and thinks that remaining is something to do with ‘stopping the Tories.’

This is not what I regard as a strong political awareness.  This is someone who has read the papers, limits their understanding of their environment to what they want personally, and thinks everyone else does the same.

Today’s news is not great.  With any luck however, it means that Theresa May is heading for retirement and the deal is not final yet.  We have to wait and see.

For the remainers and the nats that still read this now and again – here is why Brexit has been a good thing so far, regardless of the reasoning or cause:

Half of the population demanding cheap holidays and claiming that the other half are racists for wanting the poor to have work in tourism and manufacturing is neither informed nor sensible.
Do you know the difference between money in and money out?  The UK has run a trade deficit for decades, which has been used in part as an excuse for austerity measures, hurting the poor, disabled and elderly.  Not only have tourism and manufacturing revived, I am now able to work outside the UK and bring money in, which was not worth doing with a strong pound.  Even a child must understand that money flowing into the economy is better than money continuously being spent.
55% of Scotland were stupid and sufficiently badly educated about history to want to reject independence.  They frankly no longer deserve any consideration, which is why 1 in 3 of us moved on to consider the matter of whether the UK should be in the EU. In any case, a frictional position is far better in terms of long term future for Scotland.
Brexit was never anything to do with immigration.  All that happens is that we get more immigrants from the commonwealth instead, the good thing about it was the stimulation of the unskilled sector, so that immigrants and the poor alike can actually eat.
Whether the Tories are fighting or not is not really important given that the opposition haven’t been particularly effective, nor have they been remotely considerate of Scotland.

Anyway, the dude that vehemently wants to retain free movement just repeated some tabloid bullshit about English racists and displayed no political awareness beyond someone to blame, which is typical.

So now is the time for some action in terms of making sure that deal isn’t final.  A deal that suits nobody is utterly pointless.
