Five days to go and I can hardly sit still!

Not long after Nicole and Gunnar begin their journey to track the villain, they are attacked by FIVE snake-like creatures armed with poison-tipped arrows. How does the fight end up, who do you think gets wounded, and which twinkling-eyed minor character shows up late to the brawl?

We have seven days to to go, and today's detail is about a deranged mastermind. This character stands SEVEN feet tall and has a sinister plot up his creepy sleeves. Sleeves that cover his ashy skin...and not just ashy in color. It's ACTUAL ash...

A tiny smile she couldn’t suppress tugged at the corner of her mouth. That probably happens a lot. She studied his strong, square jaw and full lower lip. For some strange reason, she didn’t feel terrified anymore. His attitude oozed don’t-mess-with-me, but if he was on her side, she could handle it.
