Which type of cover?
I'm just editing a story at the moment and having a dilemma about covers. This story was inspired by what is going on in the news right now about teenagers in England and the effects of Instagram on their mental health. It's a big story here as the government are trying to slap Instagram with a Duty of Care order. Even as I was writing this story the owners of the site have agreed to remove self harm images completely, though it hasn't happened yet.
The story is about a girl who spends a lot...

Uncertainty at the Writer's Cafe
Those of you who follow along and are writers or would like to write a book, will know that I spend some time hanging out at the writer's cafe on kboards chatting all things craft and publishing.
Unfortunately the forum was recently purchased by a new company and they made some big changes to the terms and conditions which basically means (in a nutshell) that they can take our posts and do what they want with them, i.e. republish them or use them out of context. The members weren't given any o...

My other pen name
Hello lovely readers,
It's an open secret that I also write Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy under the name Elena Bryce. www.elenabryce.com/
But I wanted to include a warning that they are a bit more 'grown up' than my usual stuff. I would recommend age 13 and above! Just putting that out there... x

Changing Names
Hello lovely readers,
As some of you know, I also write Paranormal Romance and Urban Fantasy under the name Elena Bryce.
www.elenabryce.com/
I decided that my series: The Magical Misadventures of Emily Rand, would actually fit better under that name, even though it is still a young adult series.
Other than the new author name, nothing else has changed and you can still keep reading through them as before. Thanks for understanding and I hope you enjoy them x

The End of Summer...
Hi book lovers!
I'm sorry I haven't posted for ages, it's been the school holidays and I've had little people under my feet, doing their very best to make sure I get no work done!
However, it's been a great couple of months. My witchy romance How to Flunk Magic has sat on the Best Seller list for a few weeks, which has made me so happy. So, a huge thank you to everyone who bought a copy and to everyone who left a review too. Authors love reviews, both good and bad, because they let us know what...
