'Home' in Pure Slush, Marriage Anthology
HOME We came together from opposite ends of the world to meet in the middle. As in all romances, there was a chase. Ours revolved around geography: Boston, Cleveland, DC. Every time I’d leave a place, he’d arrive. Was I playing cosmic hard to get? Not possible. I didn’t know him in real life. So how did I recognize him when we finally did meet? All the women I’ve ever been embraced him instantly. He moved into my building, and into my cells, and we knotted our string made of time and distance. He is my house and I am his.
