Bittersweet Choices...Coming Soon

As young kids, best friends and neighbors Devan Dalton and Jessabel Ann Harper made a secret pact. They promised each other that they would do every “first thing” together. They shared their first kiss, went on their first date, and fell in love with each other…
Sadly, Dev and Jess would also experience their first heartache together.
However, their story doesn’t end quite yet…Even after being apart for four years and suffering through a broken friendship and a failed relationship, Dev is determined to find a way to win Jess back. But will Jess give him a second chance, or is she too afraid to have her heart broken by Dev a second time?

Finally! Manuscript Sent to the Editor

8 months later and after a few more rounds of reading and revising and more reading and more revising.
Since I last posted that I was reading the manuscript one more time back in December, I finally had the “moment” when I said…this is it. I can’t revise anymore. Bittersweet Choices (formerly known as The Unfortunate Tale of Dev and Jess) is done. Off to the editor…seriously, I’m sending the manuscript.

To quote my five year old son, “Really, I’m not kidding.”

What Would You Do If You Weren't Afraid?

The other day, I came across a quote from Sheryl Sandberg, "What would you do if you weren't afraid?"

My immediate reply, I would commit to writing full time instead of the one hour a day I try to carve out between being a full time mom and working.

One day, I'll get there. Until then, I'll continue to cherish the one hour of pure bliss that writing gives me.

In the mean time, here's to knocking down of one of my fears...sharing what I think and feel.

Thank you Sheryl Sandberg (who I had to look up to find out that she is the COO of Facebook) for inspiring me to stop being afraid for a moment and write my first blog.
