All the cool folks I met at the North American International Motorcycle Supershow! Jan 3-5, 2014
I met a lot of really awesome people at the North American International Motorcycle Supershow
while I was there selling copies of TT Full Throttle. Highlights include:
The very talented artists, Joseph & Lisanne at LOVEBONE Apparel.
I love my t-shirt!
Sleeping Dogs Ontario, who raise money for good causes & charity events and who “always
maintain high spirits to ensure the consistent possibility of always having an awesome time.”
Best tradeshow neighbours ever!
Booth neighbours across from me – BMW Club Motorcycle Owners of America – thanks for making me laugh!
The hardest working guys at the show who also took the time to make it fun too.

The friendly and helpful folks at GP Bikes where I bought my new helmet.
The only thing you guys didn’t sell there was the kitchen sink!

The super cool guys at Sidecar Racers Assoc. It was worth the 5mile hike
over to Hall 4! Thanks for the chat and I’ll see you at the Isle of Man TT!

Big shout out to fellow authors, Jeremy Kroeker and Linda Crill. It’s always
fun to talk shop with birds of a feather about the craft of writing.
Finally, thanks to the organizers and staff at the Supershow 2014!

January’s meetup.com book club in High Park is Asylum by Madeline Roux
I’m excited to announce January’s Walking & Talking About YA Books in High Park is Asylum by Madeline Roux. (Our December’s meeting discussion was STAINED by Canadian author Cheryl Rainfield.)
Do you live in Toronto and love YA books? Come join us! We’re a laid back group who love discussing YA books. Basically, we’ll split into groups of twos or threes to chat, then every 10 minutes or so I’ll switch up the groups to keep the conversation fresh. Walking & Talking About YA Books in High Park strips the book club down to its core (no round robin, no having to bring baked goods) then adds a healthy dash of fresh air and exercise. If this is the kind of book meetup you’re looking for, we’re always welcoming new members.

This looks like a tasty read!
Ralph DeLuco “My interest in motorcycles began when I was about 12 years old. I bought a minibike rolling frame for $5 without an engine. I took the engine from my dad’s snowblower and rode it around my yard until winter. When my dad went to use the snowblower I got in a LOT of trouble and had to reinstall it. From then on I was hooked. I fixed up and rode all sorts of old bikes over the years. When I graduated in 1973 I bought my first big, nice bike: a 1973 Honda CB750/4 that I still have. My parents said, ‘If you buy it you can’t live at home anymore.’ Not a choice, I moved out. I saved my pennies and went to AMI, the American Motorcycle Institute in Daytona Beach Florida in 1978. I did well there, 2nd highest grade in my class. I even drag raced my Honda at Orlando International Dragstrip and took 1st place. It was the biggest rush of my life. ” “When I returned home I got a job at Canton Cycles. By 1981 I purchased the place and ran it until 2010 when the economy killed me in a very short time and I folded it. Over the years, I accomplished many things at Canton Cycles. My main brand over the years was BMW and when I was turning a wrench it was the brand I was most knowledgeable and experienced about. Over the years, I was an authorized dealer for BMW, Triumph, Ducati, Motoguzzi, Royal Enfield, Vespa, Piaggio, Kymco, full line Kawasaki, Victory and even Stihl and Husky chainsaws! I was also past Vice-President of the Connecticut Motorsports Business Association. I have received too many awards, trophies and recognitions to remember and have numerous boxes filled and packed away. But, some of my favorites are the 500,000 mile award from BMW and the Presidential Award from Victory. I am now proud to be the Service Manager at Gengras Harley Davidson.“
