Reviews and floating

Three reviews on this site now, and thanks to Kumara for his review as he read the book on a day so hot that he should have been sitting outside somewhere with a beer instead. I spent the same hot day floating for six hours down the mirror-like river Earn in Perthshire in a small rubber dinghy, to the point in the river where it's nearest the village of Findo Gask, the place where I nicked my protaginist's name from. It wasn't for any book related reason that we floated to Findo Gask, it's simply a glorious thing to do on a hot summer's day and we hadn't floated down that river before.

Shakespeare was pretty crap really

Only one review on this site so far, so in order to help persuade you that, compared to me, Shakespeare was a semi-literate troglodyte with no gifts for anything except growing a small beard, do check out the growing band of reviews on Amazon.

Right, so the book's written, now how the hell do I sell the thing? Do I go up to people in the street and smack them in the face with a copy and shout at them, 'It's the best book in the world. All the other books have only been waiting for this book to come along so that the standard of bookish perfection could be finally established, thus allowing the accurate measurement of all other creative efforts to be set on a scale against it. So buy it, and buy it now or I'll stab you.'

Or do I employ more subtle methods, whatever those are, and allow people to lead themselves to my wonderous product through twitter and facebook and all the other dark digital arts. I haven't a bloody clue, but I am vandalising every bus stop within a ten mile radius with stickers so at least I'm getting some exercise.
