Celebrating 50 Books--Day 2--Isaiah's Haven

Celebrating 50 Books--Day 2

Yesterday I looked back at Alexandra's Legacy, the first book in the werewolf Legacy series. Today it's book 2, Isaiah's Haven.

BLURB:

Love comes howling when—and where—you least expect it.

Legacy, Book 2

Isaiah Striker puts family first, the pack a distant second. Which is precisely the reason he's in noisy, crowded Chicago instead of alone in his beloved woods. One look at the owner of Haven nightclub, however, and a simple favor for his brother turns into something else entirely.

Meredith Cross holds her small pack together with sheer determination. After years on the run, they hide in the glare of the city's nightlife. Isaiah may heat her blood, but she can't afford to risk the lives of the outcast half-breeds in her care. Once exposed, every bounty hunter and werewolf purist in smelling distance will hunt them down.

But when their sexual attraction spirals out of control, a moment's distraction is all it takes to lead danger right to Meredith's door. For Meredith there's only one choice: her pack.

But Isaiah knows his mate when he sees her. And he's not giving up without a fight.

Celebrating 50 Books--Day 1

Celebrating 50 Books--Day 1

It's hard to believe that on May 3rd my 50th book will be published. It's been a crazy six and a half years since my first book--Annabelle Lee--was published by Ellora's Cave. My 50th book will be Legacy Found, the third book of the Legacy series.

For the next 50 days I will be flashing back to all my books. I thought I'd start with the first two books of the Legacy series as that would lead in nicely to May 3rd.

So, here is Alexandra's Legacy, available in ebook and print from Samhain Publishing!

BLURB:

The truth will set her free…or get her killed.

Alexandra Riley's day starts out like any other in her normal, predictable world. Then a tall, dark stranger bursts into her father's garage and shatters the illusion. In one shocking moment, she discovers why she's been feeling hot, restless—she's the half-breed daughter of a legendary werewolf and is a much-sought-after prize.

Joshua Striker, enforcer in charge of protecting the alphas of the Wolf Creek pack, has come to take Alex home. Nothing more, nothing less. From the first moment he sees her, she becomes the one thing he can't afford—a distraction from his duty. A weakness he doesn't want—but can't resist needing.

If only keeping her safe was as simple as fending off males on the hunt for a mate. Through city streets to the mountains of North Carolina, Alex and Joshua have to evade those who don't want their pure bloodlines tainted with human DNA, as well as bounty hunters who think the only good werewolf is a dead one.

What Joshua and Alex can't outrun is the passion that flares between them—or the choice Alex must eventually face. Whether to claim her inner wolf, or forfeit her chance to claim Joshua as her own.

Support Author Judy Mays!

Author and long-time member of the romance community, Judy Mays, is under attack. In her day job she is a high school teacher and has been for almost 25 years. Now she is being heavily criticized for her other job as a writer.

Judy Mays is an amazing writer and a very classy lady all the way. Obviously, she's never brought her writing into the classroom and she's been an excellent teacher, but that no longer seems to matter.

New Cover--MacNamara's Lady

Look at the fabulous new cover I just received for MacNamara's Lady. Thank you Ellora's Cave Art Department and, especially, Syneca. I absolutely love it. Check out the blurb below. No release date yet, but I'll keep you posted.

BLURB:

Missy Sinclair knows what she wants out of life—a secure job, a fine home, financial independence and, eventually, a man to share it with. That man will have class and style, share her goals and tastes and like fine wine and classical music. Why then is she so attracted to T. S. MacNamara who is the complete opposite?

T. S. makes no apologies to anyone for his life. He's worked hard to make his general contracting business a success. He likes beer and football. He's not looking for anything permanent. Problem is, he can't stop wanting Missy.

When he rescues Missy from a violent mugging the seething physical attraction that's been shimmering between them for months finally explodes. Classy and rough, dark and light, educated and blue-collar. Opposites attract—at least in the bedroom. But they both have secrets that won't stay buried and they threaten to drive them apart unless they're both willing to face their pasts.

Week in Review and Contest Reminder!

Hope you all enjoyed the long Easter weekend. The Easter bunny stopped by my house and left some treats for us to enjoy. Love me some dark chocolate.

Worked on galley proofs last week for A Touch of Magick. Look for it in print in September. In the meantime, my poor WIP (work in progress) is still coming along. I'm up to about 47, 000 words and am hoping to finish the rough draft this week. (fingers crossed)

Beyond that, there was the usual stuff--housework, errands, etc... I did download and read the new Amanda Quick book--Quicksilver. Love her books.

AND, I read Laurann Dohner's latest Cyborg book--Redeeming Zorus. LOVED IT! It's always a treat to see how an author is going to redeem a former bad guy and Laurann Dohner managed to do just that. If you haven't checked out her Cyborg series you're really missing out on a treat.

Hoping to get a lot of writing done this week. We'll see...

Have a great week. And if you haven't entered my fabulous contest in celebration of my 50th book release, see the details below. :)
