UK review
I wanted to share this great review from Amazon!
Well I have to say what a fabulous surprise this book turned out to be!! Once I started I couldn't put it down and the more I read the more I was pulled in!
This book I predominantly about growing up and realising the limits and restrictions you and others give yourself without even realising. I absolutely love how the importance of friendship was portrayed in this book and how no matter who we are we all need old people in our lives. The people that become part of Laneys life are awesome and I have to say I love every single one of them, Bennett and Sawyer being my favourites though as there one liners (along with Laneys) has me laughing and smiling throughout the whole book.
The issue of trust and honesty was also so brilliantly captured in this book and the fact that heartbreak can be caused in so many more ways than just your lover hurting you.
As for the love triangle, it was brilliantly done and although I know I should have been convicted and torn I just knew who I wanted Laney to be with an what was great was the author wrote it so honestly from both perspectives I felt guilty for rooting for one person only but hey what can I say.. A girl wants what a girl wants!
I cannot wait for the next book!!

UNEDITED Book 2 Teaser
As seen on my Facebook author page...and as promised to the fans who take their time to let you know they appreciate you putting your work out there :)
Her big blue eyes are bugging out of their sockets, taking in every nuance of the shop. There’s indents in her lower lip from her teeth, that just loosened their grip there, and her once creamy complexion is now simply pale. I’m tempted to tease her, but don’t really want to draw attention to our current “condition,” or I know they’ll turn us away.
“You’ll go first, right?” she asks shakily.
I lay one hand on her shoulder, squeezing reassuringly. “I seem to remember this being your plan,” I quirk a brow at her, “but yes, I will go first.”

CUT scene
Shared on my Facebook author page because I promised, so thought I'd put it up here too. This is a scene I cut from Emerge, the original beginning to Ch 3, from Evan's POV.
EVAN
I see Kaitlyn bounding down the stairs first. She’s a cool girl, good ball player…excellent friend to Laney; by far her best trait. She’s pretty enough, but nothing, and I mean nothing, could have prepared me for the vision right behind her.
Laney looks beautiful every time I see her; uniform covered in dirt and sweaty, just woke up with sleep in the corners of her eyes, fished all day ponytail and smelly…but this Laney takes the cake.
Her dark blonde hair hangs past her shoulders, and tonight it has a little curl to it. Her huge brown eyes are filled with self- doubt and not really meeting mine, but I think she has on make-up, so they stand out more than usual. Her perfect little mouth looks pink and shiny, and when her tongue glides over her lips nervously, every nerve in my body comes alive. There’s a slight blush spreading across her tan, heart shaped face, and I can’t think of anything I’ve ever seen that even comes close.
My eyes move down her body shamelessly and I can only will my own not to give me away at this point. DAMN, I will have to steal and burn all of her t-shirts, cause I’d rather go blind than to never see this sight again. Her shirt is light green and it looks soft; touchable. The short sleeves show off her toned, tan arms and the low neckline is hinting a path to the most gorgeous pair of breasts I’ve only ever imagined.
And just when I thought I couldn’t love anyone more than the creator of Laney’s favorite yoga pants, my eyes go to her jeans. Sweet mother of… they fit like her second skin, with little jewels on the pockets, drawing the eyes to the finest ass in the world. I take in those 5’6 legs all the way down and I see the boots; that’s my girl.
Well, that settles it; I am not letting her out of my sight tonight. I can barely walk right now, let alone chase her around a party, and I’m already picturing the fights in my head. Laney may think she’s invisible, but her unattainable air and smokin’ body make her the talk of the locker room more often than she’d believe. When the guys see her tonight, they’ll know their imaginations had nothing on the real thing, and I’ll have my hands full standing guard.
No other guy is getting near her, over my dead body. Maybe, just maybe, tonight will be the night. The night where all the stars finally align and my coward ass finally tells her how I feel.
Here goes nothin’.
