The Belle’s Cheesy Chicken and Artichoke Lasagna

I so wish I could serve you a piece of my Cheesy Chicken and Artichoke Lasagna, I really do. But, the next best thing would be to share the recipe with you and Im about to do just that. First, the backstory? As I may have mentioned once or ten times, I love to take our favorite flavor combinations and recreate them into different dishes, which would be why the flavors of my All Cheesed Up Artichoke Dip once found new new life as quesadillas. But, true inspiration hit me yesterday when I used...

Beware Dormant Butt Syndrome

Hello folks, how goes it? Me? Im so over Corona Crazy. So. Over. It. However, Im continuing to adjust my daily prayers as I ask Father God to have His way in this season and not my will.

If I had my way, we would blink, and this would disappear like a bad nightmare. At the same time, I recognize its in crisis that people turn to God, and we sorely need a great turning back to God in our poor world!

Oh, please hear me. I do not belittle the tragedy of those who are sick with Covid19, those...

Sourdough Starter and Friendship Bread Basics

Sourdough Starter and Friendship Bread Basics

The first thing you need to know is that Im a newbie when it comes to bread making. As I said in another post. I havent made bread before becausegrocery stores. But one of the things Ive been challenging myself with during our sheltering in place season has been trying to new things, things that seemed daunting, things I wouldnt normally do for love or money. On Skillet Cookies, Husbands, and Learning to Speak Sourdough

Hey folks, lets chatHows it going? Its a gorgeous day here in northeast Louisiana as I sit here writing to you from the back porch, albeit a tad chilly. (Heres a screen shot, and I mean that literally. If the picture is fuzzy, blame it on said screen.) We always have a cold snap around Easter and this year is no different. The beloved farmer is working in the yard because we got a light rain and he cant sit still.   Can you find him on the mower in the far right of this pic, just down the...

More Coronavirus Thoughts or That time Papa and Mama acted up!

Hello friends,

Papa had a birthday last weekend. Hes 81 years young. We celebrated him well. And yes, we had more than ten people in the house. But, if youll remember, the limit for gatherings was 50 at the time.

Things are changing quickly arent they. I know it can be unsettling. Im praying for you. Im also praying for ways to reach more and more people with the love of Jesus during these unprecedented days. Oh, that the gospel could spread as quickly as this virus, amen?  I long for others...
