*This was written for Janelle and Roel, on the occasion of their wedding I photographed. They got married at a haunted mansion in San Antonio, built on the resting place of over 60 Mexican soldiers who lost their lives in the Battle of Salado. I could hear them, restless, but celebrating that night.*

Just sang Happy Birthday to my beautiful Calvin. He turned eight...
Just sang Happy Birthday to my beautiful Calvin. He turned eight today, and I cannot believe it. Time moves so quickly, so very quickly, it is imperative that we breathe in every possible moment. That we live our lives to the fullest, and allow ourselves to get overwhelmingly excited about small things. Here is Calvin, screaming with excitement for his peanut butter and chicken birthday sandwich cake. Happy Birthday buddy.
