I travel, a lot, I photograph people, a lot. Sometimes it feels...
I travel, a lot, I photograph people, a lot. Sometimes it feels like work, sometimes the light won’t cooperate, sometimes you wish the universe would lend you a hand and help you out with dramatic light or clouds…sometimes, it does. Sometimes it’s not work at all, sometimes it feels like capturing magic, holding it awhile, and feeling lucky you did, if even for a moment. This is one of those. This here. I will never forget where I was that day. I will never forget...
I will never forget where I was that day. I will never forget the phone call that woke me, the disbelief as the sky filled with ash and smoke on television in front of me. I will never forget sitting all day watching it unfold, the tales of kindness, bravery, the tales of hope. I will never forget feeling like everything was about to change, and I will never forget hoping that if it did, it would be for the right reasons. I will never forget the tears, the helplessness that comes as you watch the world fall down from 2,022 miles away. I will never forget.
