To begin again, sometimes you have to take life down to the studs, knock down all the walls, and pull out the insulation that kept you from the world. You must get dirty and feel the ache in the muscles you used to pull the house down around you. You must stare wide eyed and grinning at the mess you have made, seeing through the rubble to the clean flood that will emerge when the work is through.

Now, now is the time to destroy the foundations of fear and apprehension, the walls of waiting and wishing; now is the time to begin again. Laugh at the piles of the past you stand in, knee deep and smiling.

They may try to tell you it’s not a choice, that there is one world and only one way to see it…I promise you they are wrong. I promise you it’s there, miracle filled and magic. Prove them wrong. I’ll tell you a secret, that almost nobody knows:

It’s not about the chocolate, the ribbons or bows;

it’s not the flowers, or an expensive shiny stone,

it’s about giving out love, even if you’re alone.

Happy Valentine’s Day to each and every one of you. As a person that writes about love, A Lot, you would think I care more about this holiday, but alas, I do not. Every day is the perfect day to give out all the love you’ve got in you, every day is the right day to celebrate it. It matters not if you are single or married, dating or alone, you are loved, and you can love in return. Give it all away, my friends, for life is short and it’s why we are here.
