Real Talking Dogs?
I swear I’m not making this up — but Dr. Melody Jackson at Georgia Tech is leading a team of scientists to develop wearable technology to make it possible for dogs to communicate with their owners. And its called Project FIDO: Faciliating Interactions for Dogs with Occupations (I know, it doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, does it?)

The Cat’s Meow-morphosis!
Even though the book is over two years old, it’s hard not to still be charmed by the clever take on Kafka’s classic, The Meowmorphosis, from Quirk Books. Plus the book trailer is just as good as what you’ll see for any major Hollywood summer movie!
What’s also interesting to note is that the Los Angeles Times recently featured a vintage pic of Kafka with his beloved dog!

Soul Mammals!

Look, It’s A Bobcat!
I haven’t read this new book of short stories, but I’m fairly certain none of them are about feral animals. However, judging by the reviews, it appears to be a very solid collection of tales by Rebecca Lee about the wild side of the human condition.
