After graduating from Medway College of Art and Design (now the University of Creative Arts), Sheila enjoyed a long career with a magazine publisher, where she was responsible for the production of their weekly issue and various other publications.

An avid reader since childhood, working closely with journalists soon rekindled Sheila’s love of the written word, prompting her to write her debut novel: “Truth & Revenge”.

Sheila lives in South London with her husband.

When his brother suddenly emerged from the shadows and walked towards him – holding out a knife which he presumed was meant to cut his bonds – Luke’s relief instantly turned to horror as, with a chilling smile, Jeremy began to slowly run the bald across Luke’s throat.(less)

This is a difficult question to answer. There are so many exciting fictional worlds to choose from. However, I think I would pick Cassandra Clare’s world of Shadowhunters (The Mortal Instruments). There never seems to be a dull moment there, and with Marcus Bane’s portals, who knows where I could end up.

As to where I would go, I would head straight to the Institute and demand to be trained as a Shadowhunter. As this is a fictional world, I’m sure I can conjure up a suitable background that would make me eligible. I would then insist on going with the team to chase demons and hunt down Valentine Morganstern. After the quiet and unadventurous life I usually lead, It would make a wonderful change to do something exciting and potentially dangerous ... especially as, being fictional, I could control my ultimate safety!(less)
