CEFJ #77 FemmePunk, Enjoying the Process, and Building Brick-by-Brick (7/18/18)
So I’m getting lots of things done, y’all! The Camille will be coming out as its own separate novella next week, The Bohemian Badass is looking very sexy, my TV series development is coming along great, and I’m coining new sci-fi genres to boot (go FEMMEPUNK)!
But while I’m kicking ass on these things, I’m STILL struggling with writing productivity on my prose work. Plus, external comparisonitis from people who are projecting their ideas of author success onto me. So it’s been a struggle to really get into my prose writing, which is a problem being that I’d like to get more novels and novellas out this year.
The solution? Focusing on PROCESS rather than PRODUCT, and I talk a lot more about what that means in this new podcast. Check it out!

Perfectionism is a BITCH, y’all. And I’m having a case of it for real.
Sometimes I’m the only voice telling myself to keep going. Worse yet, at the same time, I’m also the only voice telling myself that I’m not good enough. LOL. Yes, it feel schizophrenic to be an artist, but I’m here to try and break through all of that with a very real exploration of the emotional rollercoaster that is #ArtLife.

CEFJ #75 Happy Birthday Gratitudes! (6/28/18)
Homemade breakfasts, cashew ice creams, carrot cakes, novel writing, a BOSS ass workout, and an in-house beauty day? What more can a girl ask for on her birthday?? Today is not only my personal new year, but it’s also a day of gratitude and thanks and life and love.
I am super happy right now, and a lot of that happiness is coming right from within. I briefly reflect on the personal, professional, creative, spiritual, and emotional growth I’ve achieved over the past year, and I’m really proud of how far I’ve come. Feeling super lucky to be here on this beautiful planet, and I want to continue to explore what life and the world has to offer… with my little one and my creativity at my hips, that is!

CEFJ #72 The Artist’s Journey & The Importance of Endurance and Gratitude
I’m hitting a few snags in my creative production in some areas, but other areas have been totally on fleek. Trying to get balanced, but even so, I’ve been pretty happy and centered. I’ve been reflecting on my journey (and on this past week specifically) and WOW. It’s amazing how life can turn and change at the drop of a dime.
I guess this past week has just reminded me of the importance of love, honesty, gratitude, and endurance, so in addition to talking to you guys about what I got done this week, I’ll be talking about those tenets as well.

CEFJ #68 Self Care is Queen, Deep Focus is on FLEEK, and Developing Habits (5/14/18)
So! This week was a little slower because I’m ALL IN on my self-care regimen, and the results are awesome! I talk a lot about self-care as an Artist and choosing pathways that fit best for you, but I ALSO get into what projects I’ve been working on, how deep focus continues to elevate my life, and how it’s helped me develop daily artist habits.
Even MORE awesomely, I have two major writing collaborations happening right now: one for novel writing and another for TV writing. And it’s GREAT! My ideas and perspective on marketing are growing while I’m also aiming for a rapid-succession launch in 2019, and I couldn’t be happier.
I’m FINALLY “growing up” as an Artist, y’all, and it’s AWESOME! xoxoxo
