The Central Sea
Each of the Central Sea stories (Central = Middle = Mediterranean) focuses on a different character. So far I’ve done Gaetan and Juliano. Adriana, Capo Rikkardu and the corsair leader, Igaidi are left.
The next tale in this series will feature Adriana. Hers will be set mostly in the County of Sicily. I plan to make clearer what is going on between Igaidi and Rikkardu. I may flesh out the background a little. These are my notes. The main tale will finish there.

Hello.
In May 2009 I began writing with no other intent other than to test a writing program. ‘I’ll just do a chapter’ I thought. I did one, then another. By the time I’d got to 8,000 words I was two weeks and three chapters into a 60,000 word novel. This was the beginning of the Mandat Culturel project.
It wasn’t easy, I was describing an Earth in the near future where civilisation had crashed and I had to work out why things had fallen apart and put it into words. Then I had to make it become a draft. Then I'd to relearn punctuation, grammar, the works. Along the way I reinvented evolution, religion, a cosmogony, the works. 60k became 160k. It was fun; it's probably unpublishable.

Where things happen
Hard copies of the UK version are on Lulu.
The US version is on CreateSpace.
The back cover of the US version features the Saxon image from Wending Hall instead of the topography of Bacup Water. It also uses American English (should I just call it American?)
