There's no better feeling than this one...

Howdy and Hello to all of you,

The past twenty-four hours have been, by far, the most stressful, and exhausting ones in my very short life.
However, I consider it to be a great retribution, and therefore, I'm completely at peace with it.

The complete and last edition of Consume Me is out there, and I still can't believe that despite what had went down, I still earned myself some amazing reviews, supportive messages from around the world, up to Romania and Philippines, and goodreads shocking ratings.
Don't take this the wrong way; I mean, I went to sleep hugging some serious 'Cuervo' and expecting some upsetting outcomes. Instead, I find more purchase, a new , heartwarming customer review on Amazon, a review on goodreads and close to two-hundred currently reading and updating their progress. Not to mention the views on the blog.

It felt like I was treated right, and people were overwhelmingly understanding, and patient. I will never be able to express my relief and my gratitude. Instead, I'll promise an impeccable second book and one big Giveaway event before it comes out that will include a personalized dedication to each winner.

I'll also list an ARC for those of you who are eager to be reunited with Mr. Davis and his cocky, and affectionate ways.

In the end, I'd like to thank each of the following persons for making my day brighter:
I'll have to start with:
Alicia Carson: You have been my rock through this rough patch.

Liliane Sand , my first reviewer. You made me squeak in the middle of the coffee place, and now, they think I'm crazy. I hope your little brother gets better, very soon.

Faith L , my second, very emotional and funny reviewers; your Gifs made me the happiest person on earth.

K. Shmitt ; I love that you thought a great read, despite the messed-up editing.

RoseAnn Harding: Your review was the first thing I read when I opened my eyes. It made me cry with both happiness and relief. Thank you for your support and understanding.

Lady S: Thank you for your encouraging message.

Lisa Groves Williams: For the first feedback and showing expectation. I appreciate it.

Anne Morillo: My first UK reader. Thank you for your message, it was heartwarming.

My S. - My H. - My L., and all the people in my life, that remain supportive, no matter how disturbingly mad I get. I love you much more, if even possible.

I have some new reviews I need to read before getting back to the second book and its third chapter, but I promise to do my best and thank each and everyone of you.

Love and Gratitude.

Sincerely,
R.F. Allie.

06:39 Still up and not-running...

This post is my final explanation, concerning the publication issues with Consume Me (A Burning Desire Novel); please indulge me.
As many of you already know, I encountered some tiring and stressful events in the past dew days.
(If you aren't aware and you happen to be a new comer, angry at the poor version that was published: Please accept my apology and bare with me by turning your attention to my old posts.)

It was only, six hours ago, that my editor and I discovered that, her replacement had initially published an old edition of the book; barely proof-read. Yes, he says that, since he had to save it repeatedly, at the end: "He might have gotten mixed-up about which one was the final version.".

I apologize, I'm so deeply affected by the 5000 purchases who had to go through that messed-up spelling, grammar, and style. I hope you get to read the last edition, before you go and write your review about the misspelling and horrible grammar. I've added an extra day on the free-kindle store, for you to get the newer version.

I assure you, that never, not once, in my whole life, had I ever been this clumsy or careless about something I cared so much about. I hate it when I purchase a book with misspelling, or bad sentence styling, I would understand and indulge one or one hundred in a 100.000 words novel, and I usually focus on the plot, so I know where you're coming from, but not as much as there probably was on that first edition.

My first editor, who's been back from a trip in south-Africa, recovered the proofread version, and we've been proofreading it for approximately six hours. I won't promise it will be typos-free, as I'm really not perfect, nor do I claim to be. We divided the book in two half, and each one us corrected her part. I might have missed something she wouldn't have, and she may have missed something I wouldn't. Either way, I can guaranty a better grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation. The plot remains the same though...
I hope you still like it.

Alicia; I am forever in your debt. You are the best, for staying up until now, for indulging my tears and freaked-out squeaks, with patience and pure grace. Just please, get your rest, take Millie to her friend's birthday party and get right onto the first chapter of the second book.
We are doing this, we're not leaving anything to chance. I love you so very much, I wouldn't find the words to describe it - maybe Clea has my issues -.

Finally, to all of you readers, bloggers, reviewers, and friends. I'm so very sorry. I hope you understand, and that you won't judge my second book because of this incident.
The last edition, will be up in six to eight hours. Please read the Notice on Amazon and spread the word to all the people who purchased the old edition.

I love you all...

Cheers! I'll drink to that...

My best friend, who also happens to be a great publicist - not mine though - thinks that I'm too literate and friendly, and that apparently stands as a bad image to literature readers.
I don't agree, and hope that every person who reads my posts, get even more excited about reading my books, as I try to be as transparent as I could possibly be, through my laptop screen and keyboard.
Anyhow...

I'm trying really hard not to sound like a hysterical person and be reasonable...
But it's getting harder, by the minute.
In truth, I've been obsessed with the book. The first one that is.
I've been re-reading it and stumbled upon some editing errors. It was a new whole level of psychotic for me; but you have to understand that it was only because it was done in a record time, after I'd lost the first proofread version and couldn't find the first editor, since she'd went to spend her summer holiday out of the country.
Gladly, she's been back for two days, and re-correcting the last three chapters that I'd changed. I apologize to all those of you who purchased the version with several typos, and I really don't mind if you just go ahead and ask for a refund.
I grew anxious about the publication date, and the fact that I didn't manage to keep my promise to many readers to get it out by June 20th, so I just got careless, stressed and really tired.
A mistake, that I assure to all of you, would never happen again.
With that being said. I'd like to inform you that the book is having its first promotion today and tomorrow. So feel free to head to your Amazon Accounts, search for it and add it to your kindle.
The link is already listed on my previous post.
But here you go.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DQ37EKW

To get back to the title of my post, and tell you what I'm cheerful about and planning to drink to in celebration. What I'm thankful, excited, and happy about are basically three things:

Number #1: MY FIRST REVIEW EVER! From the gal who made the sun shine brighter and the stars twinkle endlessly in the back of my head. Lilian Sand, I'm forever in your gratitude. We're always anxiously waiting for one review, the first one ever, from a reader and not a blog. And you gave me the one thing I was anticipating. But you gave it to me in the most surprising, astounding, just drop-down-and-faint, way ever. So Thank You my Lady, and I'm praying for your little brother, with all my heart.

Number #2: What is better than you first review ever?...
....
....

Your Second Review Ever, Of Course!
The second one, I really wasn't expecting. I thought that, giving the unique circumstances that had led to my first review, there was no way I was getting a second review. Not before, the first promotion or maybe even the third. I was very surprised, especially since I was freaking out about the typos and calling my editor in the middle of her jungle adventure

Thank you Miss L. I'm glad you loved it. I, on the other hand, fell head over heels, for your Gifs selection, and that, no matter how much Clea seemed to frustrate you, you seem to have developed some kind of bond. Also, Gabriel Macht is an excellent choice, as he's also mentioned - or rather his Harvey Spector alias- Really impeccable taste... Just like mine. 'WINK WINK'

The third news I'm drinking to, well, it's pretty simple really: I started the second installment. Yes, it's official Ladies, Clea, Landon, Jude, Jenna, Ryan and all the others will be back in your life, very soon.
I've decided to change my working routine. I don't expect people and readers to wait a whole year, before getting the rest of their stories. But come on, that wasn't a cliffhanger, now? was it?
If you knew me personally, you'd know that I have a much expanded imagination, and I could have been cruel. However, I think that in my first book , I acted more as a reader, than an author.
Which means: If a passage made me laugh or chuckle, I'd keep it, because I'm a reader.
If a passage made me feel no anticipation, I'd rewrite it, no question asked. And that is probably the reason behind many typos, even after the edit.
But this book...
I just finished the first chapter, half the second and already sent them to get checked for typos and styles.
I'm planning to act as more of a writer; because in truth, as a reader, and a viewer, I know that anticipation is the key-emotion that keeps me eager to learn what would be coming next.

Anyway, if you think that you figured anything out. Please, go ahead and give it another try, because I'm growing eager, excited, and relentless about what I want for the next book.

I promise the first snippet once my blog hits 1500 views. I'm really not far, but you'll never know, so you can either keep coming back to check on me, and, probably get an avant-gout of what's coming, or you can just wait for the second installment to be published.

Live... Live...Live... It's live people!

Howdy and Hello to those of you reading this post;

This is a happy day for me, a very happy day indeed.
To those of you who haven't read my previous post about the last odds I'd encountered, you can read it here:
http://www.goodreads.com/author_blog_posts/4381422-just-another-bump-in-the-road

But for those you who read or just don't care; well I'm glad to make the announcement...
Drum roll please....

Yes, Consume me is finally live...
For Kindle readers: you can find it here:  http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DQ37EKW
For paperback aficionados; I'll post the purchase link  later in the day.
As for those of you who favor other reading devices, i'll ask you to post just the name of your device and i'll make it available to you. It's a promise...
I don't like being restricted either.

So to get back to the purpose of this post; Consume Me is really live. I mean I can't believe it, I've been working on this for almost a year, I deprived myself from so many things, I missed being in contact with animated subjects. My laptop, iPad and other devices and apps have been my sole companions for so long, my friends started calling me 'Asocial' and other offending terms which I won't reveal to avoid any misunderstandings.
Anyhow, up until 9 months ago, I was the most social and outgoing person you'd ever met. Now?
Well I won't say that Landon, Clea, Jude, Jenna Ryan, Mia and Faith are my only friends; but it's damn close to being the case: I mean think about it, it's a series!!!
I do miss my real friends...
I didn't stop seeing them altogether though, let's just say that instead of spending 12H a day with at least two of them,  I've been seeing them less than that.
They've been my rocks throughout the process, they inspired me in every way to put this story into words and I hope you'll love each and every bits of it...
If you don't?... Well it's ok
As the french say: "Les gouts et les couleurs ne se discutent pas."
But I'll be thankful for any feedback you have to give.
I've been surprised that my book has already been purchased by 11 individuals...
Not much you say?
Ha!! It's freakin' amazing, especially since I'm convinced that none of them were my friends: Most of them are either still asleep or not yet aware that it's live, so I guess I'm really damn lucky, ecstatically surprised and psyched and a bunch of other things nontransferable by way of writing because it requires screaming...
Again? What was the purpose of this post again?
Oh yeah, I remember now:
So the story of Clea and Landon is out there, for the world to read, share, discuss, tear apart or defend. I'm feeling happy and blissful to have the chance to leave some kind of impact. There are lots of stories out there, all worth reading and discovering and since I really don't want to become a real crazy person refreshing my page endlessly (Yes as it happens; I am a really sane person; 8% of the time.) I'm going to pack a bag, take some of the reads I missed on for the past 6 months, other than Entwined with You -That one I really couldn't keep away from reading, right about midnight on June 9th and in one very long breath - and I'm going to enjoy a day out around the city. I'm heading to spend the holidays with my two favorite persons in the world in about 10 days in one of my favorite corners of the globe.
I'll give you a hint ;) Lord of the Manor lives there...
No? didn't get it? Well then RUN RUN RUN to your kindle or closest book store and get 'This Man Trilogy' by Jodi Ellen Malpas.
Okay now; I've taken enough of your time, I'm going to close this lap top, call a friend and head to have a breakfast, a good laugh and a good read under the biggest tree I would find.
Bye for now...
Oh yeah, Lots of L.O.V.E

Just another bump in the road...

Fellow future readers and all people who made me happy by adding Consume Me to their shelves,

I just had the craziest day, and not in a good way, might I add.
I'm very sorry to announce another week of wait to those of you who planned to maybe spend the weekend reading the Story of Clea Dane and Mr Landon Davis.
To explain what happened further, it was a technology issue. I had three backups of my book, one on my tablet, one on my smartphone and another on my laptop. I'm a very responsible in that area.
Unfortunately, as a bad day announced itself, my laptop gave up on me, and according to the tech guy i'd spent almost five hours begging him to find a solution to get the only copy that had been proofread several days ago. He announces the bad news... I need to format my laptop, or get a new one.
Several shed tears and screams later, I went back home, with a new computer, and the false hope that all the copies I had left were proofread by the second service.
Which obviously wasn't, since I just spent an hour negotiating a proofreading for Friday, and got a negative big fat NO.
My misfortune weighed for a very long and hard day. I choose transparency for my book, since I know first hand how I get when I hear about a delayed publication.
I had copies, several ones, but when I got back from my literary pilgrimage,I sent one last copy to the editor and never got to update the rest. So maybe not very responsible after all...
Lesson learned...

Thank you for your understanding, I hope you guys liked the book cover and the teaser.
Another one is coming your way, with a BIG Giveaway for all of you who want to be part of it.

All my love,
R.F. Allie

Excited...

Hello Fellow Readers, Visitors, and whomever is receiving this greeting;

I'm writing this post because, something incredible happened to me today:
I woke up a little late, as I'd spent the previous night working on my choice for the book cover. I had a wonderful shoot with the model and a very talented photograph. I'm planning on consecrating a post to his work, as he happens to be one of the few ones I know to care about the content and never ever use a software to polish a picture other than adding some visual effects to adapt it to a specific conceptual scenery.
Anyway, I went through almost four hundred photos working my way to find the beautiful and perfect cover, then, I scrambled through the book a few more times and decided to check my Facebook.
While scrambling through some of my friends' posts, I went to check on my author dashboard. I found eight views on my first post, some more people added the upcoming book on their shelves and it made me smile, hopeful that I might reach enough people who would like to read the story of Amelia Dane and Landon Davis, to share it and cherish it, as I did with so many fictional characters and still do.
( Remind me to tell you what Sylvia Day made me feel with Entwined with you, just a few days ago when I couldn't let go of the boo, until I'd finished it.)
So I was already happy and satisfied with the overall of community that had shared or read my post. But when I got onto my Blogger dashboard and found one hundred and sixty eight views...
I happen to be a very reasonable person and really not greedy, but I just went ecstatic in my living room.
It may seem like an insignificant number for some people; compared to the millions of Goodreads members, but for me, it meant the world.
I took a leap of faith when I'd decided to go on and put some old fictional journal into a story. I just happen to be one of you, I read a lot of books, from almost any genre. I watch lots of movies, series in my free time. I work, attend grad school and miraculously, manage to maintain a relationship with a wonderful man.
Publishing "Consume Me", was primarily encouraged by my best friend; he was the first one I'd authorized to read my writings, and always thought that he was being subjective because I was his best friend.
Until one day, I'd written something awful; I was depressed and maybe a little woozy, and it was really, really, really bad. He'd mocked it and criticized it,in form and in content.
It was hurtful, excruciatingly so.
"Consume Me" will probably and certainly expose me to negative reviews, as does every book, and as long as they are constructive, I'll manage. Otherwise, I'll just be a big girl and cry myself to sleep in front of a Dexter rerun, remembering it was going to be the last season; and then maybe cry some more over it.
Even though this post has gone a little out of contest, I'm glad I wrote it, even as a way of putting some scattered thoughts around. It was meant to tell some of you how exciting it felt to have some views, that could announce a platform of friends, readers and followers.
Thanks to all those of you who are revisiting, to those who are first visitors, and to those who added the book to their to-read shelves. I am extremely grateful, you made my day brighter than the sun and for that I have two surprises for whomever is interested.
The first one, is my first teaser of "Consume Me", an excerpt from Chapter four, between my two favorite characters; hopefully, soon-to-be-yours.
The second one, is what you would define as an avant-gout, for the book cover with a beautiful model.

I sincerely hope, with all my heart that this will pleasure you, and maybe make you curious about the rest of the book, along with the series.

Blissfully yours,
R. F. AllieConsume MeConsume Me
