I wear a bow tie now, bow ties are cool.

I spent a lot of time staring at the adorable bow necklace in our Nerdy Fashion: Doctor Who Edition post. So much time that I talked myself out of buying it and into making it. It's so easy and so cheap that I decided to make a tutorial. For about $6 and a half hour of my time I made a pile of bows, a hair clip, a necklace, and two bow tie pins that would be great for a last minute Eleven Costume.

Time to get fancy! I have to do this, and I'm really excited that this bow tie is based off of my favorite show; Dr Who!

Very Inspiring Blogger Award

The wonderful Avery Thorne (he’s got a pretty cool pseudonym, don’t you agree?) nominated me for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. I saw it in English class and it took all I had not to cry out, but I did start giggling like a little girl, my teacher is convinced that I’m crazy though.

I'm very, very happy for this, my second award!

I’m very, very happy for this, my second award!

I would first like to thank Avery, and if any of you have the time, check out his blog, it’s amazing and his story, Blood over Ithaca, is totally awesome. It’s a vampire story but, I assure you, it’s not Twilight and, as far as I know, the vampires don’t sparkle.

So, here are the rules!

Rules:

1. Display the Award Certificate on your website

2. Announce your win with a post and link to whoever presented your award

3. Present 15 awards to deserving bloggers

4. Drop them a comment to tip them off after you’ve linked them in the post

5. Post 7 interesting things about yourself.

Now, the 15 blogs I nominate!

Am I Interesting?

1. Well… a little, I’m a teenager who likes to play her music quietly and eats too much, and then writes and draws a little on the side.

2. The voice that speaks in my head sounds like my mom.

3. I’m a major klutz, once tripping over my feet, throwing all my papers in the air, and rolling on the ground- all in the middle of class, you can imagine the shock on everyone’s faces. But I got back up and walked away like it was nothing, like some kind of superhero saving the world and

4. Speaking of superheros, my favorite superheros are probably Iron Man, Hawkgirl, and the Powerpuff Girls. I actually have a giant poster of the Powerpuff Girls in my bedroom, it hangs proudly by my bed.

My awesome Powerpuff Girls poster.

My awesome Powerpuff Girls poster.

5. I don’t really hate any subject but if I were to choose a least favorite, I would probably choose math because the numbers and signs confuse me, it’s so logical that it’s illogical to me.

6. I hope, that one day, I’ll be able to walk into a library and check out a copy of my book, I actually considered bringing a copy of my book and slipping it into the library shelves… I could possibly get away with that!

7. Another dream I have is to become an actress- the reason I started doing vlogs on YouTube and playing characters, it could help me practice!

So, there are 7 slightly interesting facts about me, but you don’t know how long it took to write them, I just couldn’t think of anything interesting to say!

Again, I would like to thank Avery for the nomination and highly recommend everyone go follow him!

Chapter Twenty Four

Just a short chapter for The Ringmaster, I should be studying for my history test tomorrow, but instead I’m writing…

The elevator jolted to a sudden halt and I rolled over on the ground, the white walls were too bright and the carpeted floor seemed as if it were made of water, tossing me around. For the first time in my life, I swore while I staggered to my feet, the words just leaving my mouth- for the first time, I spoke before careful thinking.

Still muttering curses under my breath, I slunk out of the elevator doors, the world spinning around me, and into a dark room. Sound was stifled out and the pressing silence made me very uneasy, experimentally coughing, the sound was instantly absorbed into the walls.

My eyes began to grow more accustomed to the dark and I saw overly plush couches and the walls popped out, as if filled with cotton, absorbing the sounds in the room. I took a few cautious steps farther into the room before a familiar voice spoke, making me leap high into the air, “Alison, I’m glad you could make it.”

Spinning around, which made my head swim more, I saw G sitting in one of the plush chairs, waiting for me, “You!” I cried, feeling my adrenaline rush through my body, I stalked up to him and jabbed a finger into his hard chest, “What am I doing here? Let me go!”

G rubbed his forehead and shoved my finger aside, “Oh, shut up.” He stood up and walked towards me, instinctively, I backed up until he had me cornered against the soft wall, “You’re annoying, but I need you. I saw your power downstairs and it’s just what I need.

“Now, will you give up your power willingly, or will I have to take them from you? Honestly, it’d just be easier for you and me if you give up. Then I won’t have to rip out the power from you, trust me, it isn’t pretty.” He sneered, his face inches from mine.

So many thoughts rushed through my brain I couldn’t process them all, but I did know that I needed more time, stall for time! “Uh, I, um, who are you?” I blurted out, trying to push myself even farther into the wall.

G glared at me, “Oh you know, the General.” He said so casually, it almost breezed by me.

But it somehow registered in my mind and I stiffened, hadn’t I heard stories of him, avoid him, don’t engage him in battle? Alarms went off in my head, I was doing exactly what I wasn’t supposed to be doing, what am I going to do? Just keep him distracted, you need to wait for someone to come, or think of a plan to get yourself out of here…

What’s our dear Alison going to do? How is she going to get herself out of this situation? Wait for the next chapter to find out!

Chapter Twenty Three

I slowly woke up, fighting to keep my heavy eyelids open, “Where am I?” I mumbled, sitting up, despite the sharp pains in my head, “Ouch.” I groaned, laying back down and rolled my head over, eye level to the ground. Horror and shock ran through my tired body as I discovered myself among bodies and bodies.

As I composed myself, I noticed that the person next to me, a tall woman dressed in all white, was breathing, very lightly, but enough to let me know that she was alive. I slowly scooted closer to her, ignoring the raging pain in my head, and watched her. I stared at her familiar caramel hair and, in the dim light, I squinted closer at her. Another strong jolt ran through me as I recognized her- my mom.

My headache was pushed off as I shook her with a shaky hand, “Mom… mom? Mom, wake up. Why are you here? Mom!” I panicked, shaking her with both hands, trying to wake her.

But she didn’t stir and, when I stopped, the white sweatshirt lay limply around her just as limp body… wait, white sweatshirt? Only Ringmaster Officials wear those. My mom is wearing a white sweatshirt…

Before I could continue my thought, a painful headache ripped through my skull and I fell to the ground, both hands wrapped around my head. I struggled on the ground until it thinned out into a throb, what’s happening? My head’s killing me!

I crawled to the end of the room I was stuck in, reaching over sleeping people, while I also looked for someone who might explain what was happening.

I reached the wall and traced a hand along the cold steel, feeling for a door to get out. I quickly found one and pulled it open with my dirty fingernails. The door slid open without a sound, but it did shove people out of the way.

Before I slipped out completely, I took one last look at where I came from and saw my mom’s white sweatshirt, bright in the dark light, I’ll come back and find out what’s going on. I promise. I vowed to myself, walking out of the room but leaving the door cracked behind me.

I stumbled, using the cold wall to help me keep my balance, and continued to walk down the hall, what happened? I got hit by a Reaper… but before that, someone was talking to me, but who was it? Was that who brought me here? Why did they want me, I’m not even a real Ringmaster… And where is the sword I got? I had too many questions, but I particularly wanted the sword G had given me, wanting the safety of its heaviness in my hands.

I came to a fork in the hallway, and, without thinking about anything, I went down the right hall.

The hallway seemed to go forever, its long, white walls stretched on forever. I still had a heavy hand on the wall and my headache still pounded, making me weaker every second I kept walking.

As I was about to give up and return to where I had come from, I heard the sound of a door opening behind me. I slowly turned around, careful not to upset my head, and saw an elevator door open, and out walked several Reapers.

Fear made its way through my veins as I watched them hiss and snarl at each other, shoving the others out of their way to get out of the elevator. They hadn’t seen me yet, but I knew they would eventually, I was only a few feet away from them without a place to hide.

If I surrender now, they might be nice and let me go back to where I came from, the nice side of me thought, that’s being too nice! The other side scolded, I know what they’ll do! They’ll kill me! Kick their butts!

With what though? The singular question rang through my head, without an answer to accompany it.

But it was too late to think of one, as the first Reaper caught sight of me, letting out a loud screech and pointing at me, “You! How did you get out? You’re supposed to still be asleep!” Then it turned to its companions, “Well? What’re you waiting for? Get the girl!” It shouted.

The group of Reapers closed in and I backed up, down the hallway, “Stay back, don’t come closer.” I said, my voice wavering, much to my dismay.

They, too, heard the shake and smirked, “What’ll you do if we don’t?” One taunted.

I couldn’t think of an answer, and they knew it, getting closer and closer. I finally hit the end of the hallway, “Don’t come any closer.” I growled, my heachache getting even worse, beating inside my skull.

But the Reapers just kept creeping closer, and soon, they were an arm length away, I could see the black in their long, jagged teeth and smell the stench of rotting food on them, I gagged and pressed myself harder into the wall.

“Stay. Back.” I cried, holding my pounding head in my hands, another burst of pain rocketed through my head and bringing me to my knees. But, as I fell, I felt a burst of power surge through my body, pushing its way out.

Suddenly, my headache was gone, I looked up and, to my surprise, I saw that the Reapers had fallen down. They didn’t move as I crept past them and into the still open elevator, what on earth was that? But I had no time to think as the elevator slammed shut and I was rocketed up. My stomach dropped down and I gripped the cool rail, “Help!” I cried, squeezing my eyes closed and crouching to my knees.

This Is Going To Be Interesting…

I really like the way I’m promoting my book, The Extras, and the next book, soon to come out!

Anyways, the second video diary from my new character, Sammy Lee, is more interesting than the last one- if I do say so myself. I hope you enjoy and try to keep up with the vlog series, because I’m planning to do more!
