Heart of the Vampire - Getting closer

It has been quite awhile since my last post. Honestly, I have only a small amount of time to work each day and I have been focusing on actually writing the sequel to Call of the Vampire rather than blogging, facebooking, tweeting and whatever other multimedia buttons I'm supposed to be pushing to promote the first story. It's exhausting trying to cover them all. Plus, I just don't have that much to say at the moment. I'm writing Heart of the Vampire, it's going quite well, I'm closing in on the last bit of the story and I'm excited to write the third book in the trilogy. Although, I might give myself a little more time to write the last book. There's a lot of ground I want to cover.

If you happen to have read Call of the Vampire and you happen to have enjoyed it, please encourage a few friends to pick up a copy. Word of mouth is the best promotional tool for authors and I would greatly appreciate it.

Freeeee! Todaaaay! Call of the Vampire

Gird everything! Call of the Vampire is FREE today on Amazon Kindle. Grab a copy if you feel like sinking your teeth into a little romance.

Aurora Keys has dreamed of the Vanderlind Castle ever since she was a little girl. But the fiercely private Vanderlinds keep the massive structure strictly off limits to visitors. Until one night, the wealthy family throws a party—not just a small soiree, but a huge black-tie affair. No one from the town of Tiburon, Ohio, is invited—not even the mayor. But Aurora’s best friend, Blossom, has a foolproof plan for the two of them to sneak in.

At first, everything goes smoothly: the girls enter the castle undetected, and there is free champagne. But then the handsome Jessie Vanderlind sweeps Aurora into his arms, crushing her to his chest and whispering, “I knew you’d come back to me.”

Aurora understands it is a case of mistaken identity, but she feels connected to him somehow. And the boy is so beautiful, she believes she would be happy if he never let her go.

Once Jessie realizes he is mistaken, his smile quickly changes to a scowl. “You must leave,” he tells her in a low, urgent voice. “Immediately. Come! I’ll find a way to get you out.”

Unbeknownst to Aurora and Blossom, they have snuck into the home of one of the most prestigious vampire families in the world, and it is doubtful the two young women will ever be allowed to leave. Aurora’s resemblance to Jessie Vanderlind’s lost love just may be the only thing keeping them alive.

Teen Blurb Review!

The lovely lady over at Teen Blurb is the first to review Call of the Vampire and she's given it five stars!

"Gayle Twist has created a tale of  a timeless love, the bonds of friendship, and the steadfastness of the human soul. Can love survive against all odds? Can a young girl give her heart to a creature that should not exist? What will the price be for Aurora and Jessie to be together?"

Okay, not sure how to turn the color off. Lol ~ Really need to learn more about blogging more professionally (in my spare time).

Anyway, for the full review, go here"

Teen Blurb

I will say that it is quite a pretty review and the Teen Blurb blogger could probably write a romance herself, if she hasn't already.

Call of the Vampire

It was kind of haphazardly done, but I launched my first ebook, Call of the Vampire, on Monday night. Then I went out of town for a few days, thinking I'd start promoting it when I got back. Turns out a dozen people found the book before I had a chance to get started. Neat!

So now I have to really focus and start looking for reviews, promotions, etc... I still think of April 1st as the official launch date.

Here is the working cover. I like it, but am having a friend work up something extra special.

You can pick up a copy of Call of the Vampire on Amazon for $2.99
