RE: REVIEW OF BERTHA'S JOURNAL

http://lesreveriesderowena.wordpress....

I thought you might enjoy this review and other pages from Rowena's Blog. I sent Rowena a copy of my book earlier this year as I enjoyed reading her reviews.

Rowena has some excellent links to the late Doris Lessing's work, for example.

I hope you find this link worthwhile.

WOEDY BEAR

From July 31st to August 4th you can read Woedy which has been called a classic children's story, Free on Kindle, if you have children why not try this classic story about a bear on them, and get them to write a review for the author? The author wrote this story when she was only eighteen.

Sequel to Jane Eyre: Themes: Impact of sexual abuse legacy; patriarchy; marriage; colonial heritage;

Dear all. Take a look at my page. Have a look at the video for my book which gives you an overview of the historical aspects of my work.

Please look me up on Amazon, or with Barnes and Noble.

My work is a tentative sequel to Jane Eyre. It follows on from Charlotte Bronte's (can't find the umlaut), themes of patriarchy, marriage and abuse; and tries to imagine things from Bertha's perspective.

After reading Wide Sargasso Sea and other books which look at colonial heritage and patriarchy issues, I was inspired to write it.

I also became interested in The History of the English language, and accents and dialect, which is why I am playful in the first chapter, and the way a certain RP accent was perpetuated at a period in history. I wanted to make a record of the dying out of that accent too.

I hope you like my work, and you might want to put a review up if you do.

All the best,

Hermione

Woedy Bear

Woedy is an old fashioned tale about a bear who is lost and then found, and also a girl who is lost and then found when she falls victim to an eating disorder.

I am told this is a classic.

Woedy is available on kindle only, and to look into on Amazon. There is no hard copy at the current time.

Woedy Bear

Today is momentous. Today I published Woedy Bear on Kindle exclusively. This was my debut novel, and children's story. I wrote it when I was 18 years old.

I have changed the dialogue over the years, but the story has stayed the same, and is based on the day that my parents gave my teddy bear with the name Woedy, to the next-door-neighbours.

The book will be available in 12 to 24 hours.

This revolution in writing that is taking place is interesting. There are so many people writing, or at least maybe there always were, only now we have the opportunity to read more authors. This is in ...more
