Review of If You Steal
A good review by someone called Ambush Bug: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/72435"My two favorite of the bunch is the simple yet effective THE THRILL IS GONE (which shows the lengths a bluesman will go for inspiration) and the haunting and heart-wrenchingly symbolic tale of Alzheimer’s Disease which ends the book simply called NOTHING. Of all the stories, NOTHING is by far the most powerful and left me with damp eyes and a heavy heart. Not unlike Shel Silverstein’s THE GIVING TREE, but played out almost in reverse, NOTHING is a powerful ending to a powerful collection."
