5 Stars: Only Enchanting by Mary Balogh
Wow! Mary Balogh does it again! I was super thrilled to learn that I won an uncorrected proof from the publisher. It came in the mail a few days later. I had hoped for the version with the actual cover, but it came, instead in a pale greenish-blue cover, rather than the lovely image shown on GoodReads. However, this in no way detracted from the story. Only Enchanting is the fourth book in Mary Balogh’s Survivors’ Club series and it centers on Flavian Arnott, Viscount Ponsonby. Several years back, Flavian was severely wounded during the Napoleonic War, after having received a major injury to his head, which, for several years, […]

Coming Soon: Print Version of “Falling For Him” and “Reclaimed Souls”
Hi everyone, and happy Sunday. In my house, Sundays are a cleaning day, or an errand day. Stuff like that. Generally I do not write on Sundays, but today I’m writing a post to let you know what I’ve been working on. Print Versions of my books. Yes, print, and I’m ecstatic about this. Oh my God, doesn’t Justin look amazing?!? And hot. And gorgeous. I’m bundling Falling For Him into one book, and I’m reviewing everything as we speak. Here’s a funny thing: when you read something in a different format, you find issues you might not have found originally (see below). For example, I write my novels on […]

Latest News
Lots to update you on. First, let me thank all of my readers for taking the time to read my stories and, for some of you, leave kind reviews. It does funny things to my heart when I see that you like my stories. So, THANK YOU. I wish I could hug all of you! If you adore Justin, Nebraska, and Aaron (Falling For Him Series) as much as I do, please let other readers know. Word of mouth is still the best method for selling books, and I’m no exception. Second, all four books in my Reclaimed Souls (under my Della Roth alias) have been published on all e-markets. […]

A Man With Glasses…
“A Man With Glasses… Falls Hard For The Girl” ~ So, I like to doodle. If you’ve visited my website more then, oh, once, you’ll have noticed a few of my doodles. The above doodle, “A Man With Glasses” was inspired by a conversation with my boss. While cute and simple, the “characters” behind the glasses evoke a personal connection. I don’t see a few dots and dashes. I see a story. I see a nervous man, a lovely woman, and a brand new conversation that maybe — just maybe — starts something special. So, do men with glasses fall hard? Dunno, but this […]

A Long Fatal Love Chase
Firstly, I’ll admit that I “stole” this book from my adoring sister. I don’t say borrowed because I never plan to return it. Secondly, this review contains spoilers… Simply put: I loved this story. It has love, intrigue, suspense, heartache, desire, treachery, innocence, betrayal, action, chases, psychological despair, and murder. What is NOT to love in this somewhat slim novel? Right or wrong, Rosamond gets the fate she uttered in the beginning: “…I’d gladly sell my soul for a year of freedom.” After my second reading, and after reading this right after reading Jane Eyre, I felt that A Long Fatal Love Chase is what Jane Eyre might have been […]

Time For Some Math (or, the post where I discuss sales)
January 2014 Earnings [& Expenses] Report I’m starting a new topic on my website that details my monthly earning report. Everything in this post is as true as I know it to be, and is as true as my situation warrants. My goal is to show you a little bit of what happens behind the scenes. It’s not always exciting, but I’ve enjoyed the process thus far. I’ve been earning money for my writing for a little over three years now, but I’ve been a writer for twenty-six years. I mention this only to give you an idea of my age and to also showcase that while I am a […]

I’m excited to tell you that THE QUEEN OF SCARRED HEARTS is now available! Hold on while I do a few cartwheels! If you haven’t picked up Book/Novella #1, click here to see what you’re missing! TQoSH (I just made that up) is the second book/novella in the Reclaimed Souls Series. The stakes are higher as Rahda leaves Skyscraper City and heads to see the master she’s betrayed. While there, she meets a charismatic man, Dev Osta, who gives Roland a run for his money. Let’s just say that Dev is gorgeous and that all of my beta readers, to include my editor — yes ALL of them — found […]

Falling For Him Series (New & Improved)
Reintroducing Sergeant Justin “Hotten” Hauten and his love interest, First Lieutenant Aaron “Texas” Parris * Staff Sergeant Justin “Hotten” Hauten… …Isn’t the smartest guy in the room. He just wants to be a regular soldier but finds himself mixed up kidnappings, government secrets, and the desire to figure out his feelings for Aaron. ** First Lieutenant Aaron “Texas” Parris… …Has had feelings for Justin for quite some time and he isn’t going to hold them in anymore, even if that means getting involved in whatever mess Justin is in — which is some pretty messed up crap! ** Specialist Sean “Nebraska” Walker… …Is a tall, lumberjack-ish redhead, loyal to the […]
