Creature With The Atom Brain (1955)

An ex-Nazi mad scientist uses radio-controlled atomic-powered zombies in his quest to help an exiled American gangster return to power. That is actually what this film is about. Seriously. I am not making this up.

Invasion of the Saucer Men (1957) and Marry Tyler Moore covered in pasta ad

Sue me. It's weird and she's hot.
StorylineA teenage couple making out in the woods accidentally runs over an alien creature with their car. The creature's hand falls off, but it comes alive, and, with an eye growing out of it, begins to stalk the teens. Meanwhile, Joe the town drunk wants to store the body in his refrigerator, but some of the alien's buddies inject alcohol into his system, and Joe dies of an overdose. Written by Marty McKee   I like this movie because the aliens have needles that come out of their fingers and inject you with booze. We should have captured, bred and harvested them. And it stars the great

The Hideous Sun Demon (1959)

Gary Panter put the preview up on Facebook so I felt I had to share the movie with the world. Watch the trailer and I dare you to not watch the movie! And what the hell is a "Jeekle"? This gem veers off into Creeping Terror / Robot Monster territory.
There is a great piece about it over at the LAST DRIVE-IN

THE TRAILER!

Trailer Park Boys: Conky

This was a Bob Burden recommendation so you know it's a weird one. In this episode of the Canadian show Bubbles (their Curly) needs a tooth pulled but refuses to go to the hospital. His friends remind him he went once before and he reminds them that he went because Conky was with him. Conky is basically Bubbles' split personality and when his friends decide they didn't like that personality they dumped it in a swamp. They find Conky, one of the guys gets a broken nose and super glues a rag to his nose and a toy truck to his hand. I think I have already said too much. Trailer Park Boys is one of the weirdest, funniest shows on (Canadian) TV. They made a feature film out of the show produced by Ivan Reitman.

Self Conscious Guy (1951) but first In 1993 Dick Chaney was caught telling the truth, In 2000 Clinton made a friend and rode a bike in the White House, Happy Remake of the Shining (with original cast) Ad for Watchmen Saturday morning cartoon

The 10 minute short film from 1951 SELF CONSCIOUS GUY is about a guy who tells you the horrors of being self conscious. By the 5th time you hear this unsympathetic underdog say the phrase self conscious you wish you could travel back to 1951, pants him in public in, sneak in his room at night an whisper in his sleeping ear; they are not laughing with you, they are laughing at you; you should take a bottle of Mom's "diet" pills, drink a jug of granny's special "tonic", swipe dad's car  and drive over a freshly frozen lake; it is the only way you will get over your self consciousness. He is not easy to root for.
SELF CONSCIOUS GUY (1951)
A hard to believe compilation: In 1993 Dick Chaney was caught telling the truth, In 2000 Clinton made a friend and rode a bike in the White House, Happy Remake of the Shining (with original cast) Ad for Watchmen Saturday morning cartoon. It has been a great 20 years.the 3 STOOGES: There Auto be a Law (1965) live action/animation thing is just the wort thing to ever have the boys name on it. I have no idea where they found the 3rd Curly (Joe DeRita) but he was apparently a guy who showed up with his own car and chipped in for the film stock. He had zero comedic timing.

LIVE ACTION! Barney Google and Snuffy Smith in Hillbilly Blitzkrieg and the return of Professor Weirdo BONUS: Bugs Bunny in All This and Rabbit Stew (You will never find this one in a WB DVD box set)

But first this ad Why don't they make everything out of unbreakable wood pulp?

If there were a film vault at Guantánamo BayThis film would be wrongfully detained there and not even the ACLU or United Nations would care. This is a very silly movie, and it has no moments. If you like B-comedies this is a "Z". It starts with Snuffy Smith and Barney Google trying to outwit a bunch of spies who are after the Army's secret weapon, and from that premise it just continues to get less plausible as it goes along. Comedy veteran Edgar Kennedy plays Snuffy's long-suffering sergeant, and gives his usual good performance. The "Hillbilly Blitzkrieg" would never have struck fear into the Axis, and you would have been on their side if they were fighting this film.
Professor Weirdo is back, same K-Mart smoking jacket, same shirt, shoes and pants (new hat) but he is performing a new kind of magic this go around; he's a lip syncing god and his song is Felin' Like a Woman! You're welcome
Bugs Bunny in All This and Rabbit StewYou just have to watch this. I believe Little Black Sambo saw this and thought "Christ, at least they don't treat me like this poor bastard!"

Michael Phelps and Aquaman: adequate pop culture reference of the week

I really don't have a clue what the joke is here. I know that Sith Lord monster (AKA Michael Phelps) smoked a dube but and Aquaman is a really good swimmer (like Phelps) but but this is just weird. And why the crap bearded Aquaman? Everyone hates Aquaman with a beard. He's no Ziggy with a hat.

Santa magically creates a Punch and Judy puppet show to the delight of children at a Christmas party, because they needed to see some murder for Christmas.
