Pathwalking 148

Manifestation can be quite the paradox.

On the one hand it is astoundingly simple. On the other hand, it is intricately complex.

It is in fact both. I believe, however, that the hardest part of manifestation is the basic idea of what it is you want.

I know that a lot of people see this hooky-spooky bs. New-agey mumbo-jumbo. However, I have first-hand experience with making this actually work, and I know that it is more than just possibility, but reality.

The first and most important fact in manifestation is the simplest, but hardest to grasp. What is it you really, truly want? What do you desire to have in your life?

A lot of what we THINK we want are in fact abstracts. They are grandiose ideas that in and of themselves will not grant us what it is we really want. We want these huge, all-encompassing things that on the surface seem to be our desire, but in truth are actually either the result of what we really want, or only a lesser part of the greater aspiration.

Most of the things we really, truly desire are simple. Amazingly simple. We want to be happy. We want to love. We want to be loved. We want to have material things that ultimately make us feel good. We want good things in our lives to make life better, more efficient and/or more convenient.

The other important thing about what we want to manifest is this: We can ONLY manifest for ourselves. We have no control over the lives or actions of others, and as such we cannot make their lives for them. It can be surprising how often the thing we think we want is not actually about us, but about someone else and how they play in our lives.

Once you know what it is you want, the thing you truly want to manifest, there are three things that have to occur:

One. You have to put the thought into it, you have to see it as a part of your life.

Two. You have to desire it, you have to feel how its presence will make you feel on an emotional level.

Three.   You have to take action, doing things in a manner that will both bring that which you desire to you, and taking actions to help bring it about.

You cannot just pull things out of thin air. Manifestation does not work like that. There has to be a base, and that is why there has to be thought, emotion and action.

There are grand and glorious things some people want. You cannot be President if you do not get involved in politics. You cannot be a best-selling author if you never write a word. You cannot be a singer in a rock band if you are not creating a band.

There are simpler, more practical things some people want. You cannot acquire a new car if you are not looking for one. You cannot find a lover if you are not putting yourself out there. You cannot have the job you desire most if you are not seeking one out.

These are the necessary actions. The Universe will provide, but not from a pure vacuum. You can’t just think it, you can’t just feel it. You have to take action.

I healed from severe injuries FAR beyond and far faster than expected. If I do not show you my scars, you would never know what happened to me. I didn’t just believe I’d heal completely, I didn’t just feel that I would get well, I took action. I pushed through all of the physical and occupational therapy they gave me, and demanded more. I took every action available to me to mend, and thinking, feeling and acting upon it succeeded.

I didn’t just find the car I am currently driving. I needed a new car, I started looking into it, I started making inquiries. Yes, I believed I could make it happen, despite the obstacles in the way of it. Yes, I felt what it would be like to have a more fuel-efficient and sound vehicle. But I also sent e mails and took phone calls and visited the dealership to make it happen. I took actions to make it manifest.

These things I made manifest were both simple and complex on a number of levels. But that is the way the Universe works. I can manifest what I need and what I want, but I can only do so if I employ thoughts, feeling and action together. Alone, none of these will manifest anything but dreams. You must awaken from the dreams in order to think, feel and act upon your desire to make them manifest.

This brings up my final point on this topic. You can dream big, you can dream small, but unless you are awake and aware, you cannot manifest any reality. No matter how simple, complex or both, dreams cannot be reality without being awake and aware of your thoughts, emotions and actions.

What do you want to manifest for yourself?

This is the one-hundred forty eighth entry in my series. These weekly posts are specifically about walking along the path of life, and my desire to make a difference in this world along the way. Feel free to re-blog and share.  Thank you for joining me.

My writing – Seeker

Coming Thursday to an Amazon dot com near you:

I am proud to announce the forthcoming release of the first book of The Source Chronicles – Seeker.

BookCoverImage

Five thousand years ago, a comet was on a collision course with t’Thera. To stop it from destroying life across the planet, all of the wizards and fully realized sorcerers and sorceresses combined their power to arrest its descent, destroying themselves in the process. With their passing, no wizards would rise again, and no sorcerer would ever claim the strength of those lost in The Falling of The Skies.

One mystery from before The Falling would spark wars, and inspire adventurers for five millennia – The Source. The Source is a prophesized relic of sorcerous energies, capable of changing the   destiny of the entire world. And only one will be able to wield this power – The Seeker.

The Seeker does not know that he is an agent of Order, pre-destined to overcome the forces of Chaos. He faces adversities and challenges on numerous levels, and must discover who he is in order to recover from many mistakes if he is to achieve his destiny.

The forces of Chaos are on the march. The Seeker comes to realize that if they overcome the forces of Order, his quest will fail, and the world will never know peace again.

This story began as a scene in my head in 1998. From that once character and setting, I have developed a rich fantasy world with many nuances and unique characteristics.

I completed Seeker many years ago now, and even had it professionally edited. After submitting this to numerous agents, I have decided that it is time to use the new and exciting tools available to me, and to publish this great story on my own.

Seeker is the first book in a series of five. Source Chronicles Book 2 – Finder, and Book 3 – Harbinger, are both complete, but unedited. Source Chronicles Book 4 – Guardians, is about halfway complete. Book 5 – Healers, has been partially plotted out, and I know where it will go along the way.

The world of The Source Chronicles is so rich, I have already written a short story prequel to Seeker, as well as considered a couple prequel novels covering historic events mentioned throughout the primary series.

I am very, very excited to finally be able to share this with a wide audience! Seeker is Young Adult Fantasy, suitable for not only adults, but teenagers around age fifteen and up.

Seeker will be available both in print, and for the Kindle as of Thursday, October 30th. If you have enjoyed my blog, please support my first love and get your own copy of Seeker – and tell your friends!

Thank you for all of your support!

Positivity: Completion

Completion of a project is a wonderful feeling.

You may or may not have a deadline, but when you have a project you are putting your heart and soul into, getting it done feels wonderful.

When you are under pressure, and you have a job that needs to be completed, it can be a stressful situation. Not necessarily negative, but its possible that it lacks in positive, too.

But when it is finished…when the end is in sight, and you know that all of your hard work is about to pay off – that is a feeling of incredible positivity. When you think you’ve given all that you’ve got, when you have put a ton of work into that project, the positive energy boost you get from completing it is amazing.

We have all experienced this across our lives. That homework project in school that challenged us. That detailed work of art we meticulously detailed. That work project finished that got us appreciated and recognized. All of these completions generate positive energies.

Sometimes along the way you feel like it will never be done. You are pressured by a deadline, you are frustrated because all the necessary elements of whatever it is are not coming together. You persevere, and when you finish what you started, and you achieve that completion – it all feels worthwhile.

You get that great sense of relief, of pride at your accomplishment. You feel good about having finished what you started, and you can prepare to take on whatever comes your way next.

We do not give ourselves enough credit for a job well done. Certainly humility has its place, but not at the expense of enjoying a moment of well-earned self-congratulations. We deserve to recognize our own accomplishments, we just need to know the line between enjoying the fruits of our labors and bragging and overwrought self-aggrandizement.

I have been hard-at-work on a project for several weeks now. The end is almost in sight, I have nearly completed what I set out to do, and I feel elated that I will soon meet my goal. It is not the goal itself I want to share here, it is the sense of positivity, the good energy I am feeling that I want to share. I want you to feel good about your next completed project, and so I share the positivity I am experiencing from mine.

Finding positivity is not hard, it just requires action. Knowing that reaching the completion of a given project feels good, we need to be open to allowing ourselves to enjoy that sensation. Allowing ourselves to enjoy the sense of accomplishment from a completed project and relishing in the good feelings will dissolve negative feelings. When we take away negative feelings, we open up space to let in positive feelings, and that is something we can be grateful for. Gratitude leads to happiness. Happiness is the ultimate positive attitude. Positive attitude begets positive energy, and that is always a good thing.

This is the thirty ninth entry of my Positivity series.  It is my hope these weekly messages might help spread positive energies for everyone.  Feel free to share, re-blog and spread the positivity.
