The Shadow War – Launch Day!
After an extra month of waiting, The Shadow War is finally here! It’s the second book of The Wishing Blade series, so if you’ve been wondering what happens next, that wait is over!
*Squee!*
I’m both excited and nervous with this one. For this one, we get to see Daernan’s point of view for a large part of the story (60%, to be exact), and we get one short scene from Siklana at the end. But don’t worry, Toranih and Shevanlagiy also get their fair share of scenes, too. Not only that, but we get...

Thoughts on Publishing – Infinitas Publishing Status Report
Hello there! I’ve been super quiet for the past month, but don’t worry, that just means there are plans in progress! (And holidays… that took up a bit of blogging time, too).
So, here’s the latest news, plus a bit of catch up on the previous month. I’ll keep it short, since I’ve got to get back to editingThe Shadow War.
UCM Holiday Market (November 2016):Thisevent went well. We sold a few of our Phalanx boards and a couple of books. It’s a local, one-day event that took place atthe University...

Thoughts on Writing – Using a Roleplay Game to Develop a Novel’s Backstory
Now thatDistant Horizon is out in the world (Yay!), I thought I’d talk a little about how the story came about–specifically, how a role-play game led to the creation of the backstory ofDistant Horizon. Granted, a lot of the campaign stories aren’tvisible in the first book, butthey still played a role in the backstory of the world.
It started in 2010…
Actually, no. Let me go back just a tiny bit further. It started with tabletop role-playing that involved a group of friends in college. We all...

Thoughts on Publishing – Infinitas Publishing Status Report
Wheee… it’s been a busy month, and I almost forgot to write up a status report. So here we go, an end of the month report! (Which means I should probably try to schedule the December report sometime mid-month. We’ll see if that happens or if it ends up being end of the month again).
Here it is!
Mid-Missouri Artists – Arts and Crafts Show: This was a local, one-day show Isaac and I attended. It went well, and we enjoyed talking to everyone there. We sold 4copies of the Phalanx game, the cloth...

The Shadow War – Now Available for Pre-Order
If you enjoyed reading Magic’s Stealing, then good news! The pre-order for the next book in the series,The Shadow War, is now avilable for pre-order!
The book is still in progress (The Shadow War has been through three beta readers, and now Isaac is reading it), but I expect to have it completed by February 2017. Actually, I’mhoping to have it done sooner, but being realistic, I’m trying to give myself a bit more time to complete the project. Once it’s finished,The Shadow Warwill probably be...

Stone and String Available for Free for a Limited Time!
When I released “Stone and String” on Kindle, I went ahead and decided to try out Kindle Select, since the short story isn’t part of a series (though it is part of the world ofThe Wishing Blade). As such, I get five days to have the storyavailable for free.
I started the promotion a couple days ago, and it’s supposed to end on November 27th. So if you want to read it, now’s the time to pick it up.
