It’s finally here! I’m not 100% happy with the music but I am realistic and acknowledge that this is the best I, with my limited skills!, can get it!

The music eludes me…

My book trailer is almost complete. The images are perfect (I think), the wording is perfect, now all I need is the music. Unfortunately asking my musically gifted friends has hit a speed bump as we all have busy lives which I fully understand. Now I am striving to find an alternative. I have found the perfect music but my software is unable to remove the vocals and I just don’t feel they should be there. Now I am considering breaking down several songs and blending them together to achieve the sound I want. AArrrgghh! It’s frustrating! It’s all so clear in my mind but my ability is failing me.

Somebody has finally reviewed Above the Limit and I am happy with the review. Its not perfect but isn't that the idea? To gain criticism and with it insight so you can improve and perfect your art?

The learning continues

Never write a blog post while watching the Hunger Games and then press publish post without checking because you make mistakes like typing there instead of their!

My Vision grows!

I started my book trailer yesterday and worked late into the night. Now I have the images and writing perfect and it is just the music that eludes me. For this I have devised a cunning plan and am attempting to enlist the help of 2 close friends who are musically inclined. All I can do now is wait and see if they will lend me there talent!

Letting my imagination run free

Over the last 24hrs I have spent several hours pondering how my book trailer is really going to work and what relevence does the vision in my head have to my book. Before my vision was slightly fractured, it made sense to me but would it make sense to everyone else? The answer I decided was no. With this in mind I set to work molding my vision into something that would make sense to the masses all the while keeping the simplicity of my original dream alive. I now have a very solid plan. I am going to take a few simple images that show the killers journey and with the help of some wonderful software I am going to link these images together to create a short move. Watch this space to find out if I can pull it off!

A new plan

Having poured over articles about marketing for hours on end and feeling very overwhelmed, I took a step back for a couple of days. In those few pressure free days a plan started to form in my over active mind. I have a vision which I am hoping to turn into a reality of how my book trailer will look and I am hoping to recruit my wonderful partner and make a start on it this evening which I am very excited about! I also decided to drop a quick note to our local newspaper and they have come back to me asking for an interview and photo. I am a little more apprehensive about this as I hate having my picture taken. I am so uncomfortable in front of the camera. I will however endeavor to get over this as it feels like the time has come to step completely out of my comfort zone if I want to achieve my dreams.
