That Was Something!

I had a wonderful time at my book signing over the weekend.  I got to meet some great new readers and connect with some friends as well.  The bookstore said it was their most successful book signing to date- woot!

I will be signing more books at the Oakville Women’s Christmas Bazaar this week, and I am very excited.  Not only am I going to be able to chat with readers (which I love to do), but I also get to shop for great Christmas gifts!

“So, that’s it?” you ask.

This is where I laugh hysterically and shake my tired head.  Are you kidding?  I never sleep, never sit still and never stop.  I honestly think I would give the Terminator a run for his money.

My next book, Checking In, is due out in December right before Christmas.  I am currently working on the book cover but the novel blurb is complete!  I will post it this Friday for everyone to enjoy!

What A Weekend!

Well, I can honestly say I am exhausted! Thank you to everyone who have sent their well wishes and great reviews over the weekend for “White Lies”. I am getting so excited for the book signing on October 19th and look forward to meeting a lot of you for the first time.

I started the editing process for my second book that is due out in December and I think with all the excitement over the weekend my eyes are starting to go blurry. I hope to finalize the book blurb later this week which I will post for everyone.

P.S. Got my picture taken over the weekend for the promotional posters. It was wet, rainy and cold but I feel my dad did an excellent job once I showed him how to work an iPhone.

“White Lies” is released tomorrow!

This feels like Christmas to me! I can’t wait to get up tomorrow morning, run over to my computer and check Amazon, Chapters, Barnes and Noble, Kindle, Kobo- okay, I might have to set up a few computers! “White Lies” will be available tomorrow to purchase, and although a lot of people have expressed interest in getting the book at one of my signings, how cool would it be to come to the signing having already read the book? Bring it and I will sign it! I look forward to hearing your reviews!

Okay, now any suggestions on how to get to sleep when you are super excited and can’t stop smiling?

My Author Advanced Copies Are Here!

I woke up this morning to a ringing sound, checked my phone and decided I must have dreamt it.  After I got myself ready, had my morning tea, and had another shower from Noah splashing in the bath, I went to go and get the kids in the car.  Low and behold, when I opened the door there was a little box sitting on the steps!

“My author copies are here!  My author copies are here!” I yelled to anyone who would listen (just the kids, but I saw my neighbour’s curtain move so I think she got the message too).

Everyone had to go back into the house (there was a lot of moaning at this point), and I opened the box to see all the new and shiny copies for my book signing on October 19th 2013 (please click this link for more information).

Oh man, I can’t stop staring at them!  Aren’t they the most beautiful things you’ve ever seen?

They are now on the dining room table with a barrier built around them to stop any little sticky fingers from grabbing them.

Well, first let me say thank you for considering to pre-order my book! For those outside the US, the book will be available through your country’s Amazon site (as well as sites such as Barnes and Noble, Chapters/Indigo, etc.) once the book is released on October 4th 2013. When you pre-order through Amazon.com it basically just gives you dibs on a copy, you don’t get charged until the book is actually available. At that time, the book will be distributed through your local Amazon (i.e. if you live in Canada you should receive your book through Amazon.ca although you pre-ordered it through Amazon.com). Again, thank you so much for pre-ordering my book, every time I get a notice that someone has ordered a copy I try not to do a little happy dance. Apparently it embarrasses my children. But that’s what parents are for, right?
