R is for Reading!
Hopefully, I’ve thrown you for a little curve ball with this one. Not exactly the R word you were expecting from me today, huh? Reading? Not romantic, you say? Ah, but it can be! Especially when you and your man read together. Granted, it’s not something that I can get my husband to do often. But when I do, boy is it nice!
Reading, much like music, has the ability to take us places. Through books, we can visit new worlds and come to new experiences. We can live through some of the steamiest, most romantic love stories ever told. And if we’re lucky, we can take our significant others along for the ride! Now I ask you … how romantic is that?

Q is for Quotes
So, it’s not exactly easy to come up with a romantic or sexy blog topic that begins with the letter Q, but I did it! Sort of … I think. Quotes! Romantic Quotes, to be more specific. Here are three of some of my favorite quotes from music, film and literature.
First, my most favorite movie quote of all time comes from Steel Magnolias, where Shelby is trying to explain to her mother why she’s trying so hard to have a baby when the doctors have all told her that she shouldn’t for health reasons.

Next, one of my most favorite quotes from a song. The song is Aerosmith’s ‘Tell Me What It Takes,’ and it’s all about this guy who’s going through a break-up and he’s asking his ex to tell him what it takes to finally be able to let her go. Heartbreaking stuff!

And finally, my favorite Shaksespearean sonnet, where the mere thought of the woman he loves brings him out of his melancholy and lifts his spirits.

P is for Passion!
Passion is a potent little word. The dictionary describes it as “an intense, sexual love.” That intense sexual desire for one another is a very important part of any romantic relationship. In fact, it’s essential. Without it, we’re all sort of just buddies. Roommates. Friends.
Passion is what draws us to each other and keeps us hooked. That chemistry that binds us and keeps us coming back for more. That element that makes your insides turn to jelly whenever he looks at you in just the right way. Or the way your skin tingles with the slightest touch of his finger. The way your stomach flip flops when his lips touch yours. That’s passion. The way no one gets your blood boiling during an argument like he does. That’s passion too. Or when your feelings run so deep you wonder if you will ever be able to get him out of your system … that’s passion.

O is for Orchids!
Orchids. They are probably one of the most beautiful of all flowers. And they are among the most intimidating. To me anyway. I have tried to grow orchids repeatedly over the years, to no avail. I have no clue what I’m doing wrong but, they just don’t like me. Maybe I don’t have enough light in my house or I water them too much or something, I don’t know.
But I chose orchids for today’s topic because … well, the word does begin with an “O” and that is the letter of the day. But also because they sort of fit in with my romance theme. You see, orchids are very exotic flowers but, I have always felt that there is just something very erotic about the orchid as well. If you look at the blooms of certain orchids in just the right way, they sort of resemble certain parts of the human anatomy – both male and female. In a purely artistic way, of course! Or maybe I just have a really great, oversexed imagination. Have a look at the pictures below and see what you think!
