Wow, it feels like ages since I first picked up Snow Like Ashes. 

What really struck me about this final book was the character development.  The three main POVs follow Meira, Mather, and Ceridwen, and it just was so satisfying and awesome to see each of them grow into themselves and do awesome things.

Also, light-hearted moments of flirtation and sass? yes yes yes
