The things many people create on this site is getting buried. Some is commissions but a LOT of content is done for free. Changing your settings does help them, but it also helps YOU still find the things/ blogs you enjoy. If you want to actively help, hit the reblog button if you enjoy something.

So… have you ever wanted to read about a scruffy werewolf banker gal and a cheerful femme vampire falling in love in New York City??? Then this is the short story series for you!
I wrote it after people showed an interest in This Post where I expressed a desire for more happy monster girlfriend stories. It’s full of wlw positivity, mixed with lighthearted urban fantasy. And most important: it’s about two girls falling in love over the course of several short stories!
Fur & Fangs #1 is a short story so it’s cheaper than a novel, only $1.99
I’m a full time writer, so this is how I make my living, but if you are a young/broke queer kid and can’t afford the $2 I will try and spread some free copies around.
Although it isn’t touched upon as much in the very first installment of the series, one of the two protagonists, Riley, is nonbinary, and her best friend is a trans guy.
Also I saw a post about how Black women never get to be pretty/cute/femme and Isabeau (the vampire) was kind of my response to that. She is the narrator of the second story, and will continue to narrate all the even numbered installments.
Also a shoutout to @willoghby for the beautiful cover art. It’s fantastic, beyond my expectations.

Happy that the bastard who plagiarized seems to be rewriting the chapter... so sorry that this happened to you :( Hopefully it’s completely different now...
I am not sure that the writer fully understands WHY what they did was wrong, but they seem to be listening to me and the crowd, and I doubt they’ll use someone else’s work as a baseline again.
I also believe that they weren’t trying to maliciously steal, they honestly didn’t understand that changing some of the work doesn’t mean it’s not plagiarism.
There ARE ways to “steal” someone else’s work in a good way. Take ONE nugget from a work you admire and craft a whole story or world around it. I’d love to do that with Clexa someday… The nugget I’d take is the “enemies to friends to doomed lovers to enemies to actual lovers” romance arc.
Like… Clarke & Lexa are on opposite sides of a war => they become allies => they kiss => Lexa betrays Clarke through circumstances beyond her control => Clarke hates her => they impossibly find their way back to each other. That arc is one of the most amazing rides I’ve ever been on. If I could find a way to get two enemies together, then break them apart, then bring them together again… holy shit. It’s amazing. But you have to do the work of building your own world, your own characters, your own situations.
