Spring YA Scavenger Hunt – BlueTeam

T. Rae Mitchell here, your host for this part of the hunt. I’m an incurable fantasy geek who loves combining fairy tales, folklore and legends with our everyday world to see what kind of magical stories emerge. Join this year’s Spring Scavenger Hunt for Young Adult Readers!
It’s that time again! This year’s Spring YA Scavenger Hunt is just around the corner, and I’m super excited to be taking part in it!
Mark your calendar for April 3rd and get ready for tons of fun. This hunt is showcasing 120 authors, split into six teams of twenty, each offering bestsellers, new and upcoming YA releases, tons of prizes to win and special bonus material!
Here’s how it works:
Each team is assigned a color. (I’m on the BLUE TEAM). The hunt begins Tuesday, April 3rd and runs through Sunday, April 8th. It’s easy to play. All you have to do is start at the YASH website, where you’ll find a list of all the authors participating, as well as an answer sheet you can print off to gather the info you’re hunting for to keep track of any bonus contests you may have entered.

Catch a Leprechaun for a Special Free Read!

The faery folk are top of my list for inspiration and make up the majority of characters in the darkly enchanted fables my heroine encounters. While the leprechaun never made it into any of my fables, I thought I’d look into this evasive Lucky Charms mascot.
Did you know the best way to sneak up on a leprechaun is when he’s mending his shoes? That’s if you manage to find him in the first place. But if you do catch him, keep your wits about you while you’re trying to talk him out of his precious pot of gold. He’s a clever little prankster and prone to stirring up trouble.
