ARE YOU A COUNTRY MUSIC LYRIC/SONG WRITER?
I am currently working on my fifth novella which takes places in Nashville, TN. My female character is a country music station DJ and the male character is the lead singer in an upand coming country music band. Although it's still a work in progress, he is going to write her a beautiful love song in an effort to try to convey how strongly he feels for her/win her back after a breakup.
I don't need a song, just a lyric. If you have a wonderful lyric that expresses how much he feels for her, you can send it to me at chelseadorsette@aol.com. All credits for the lyric will be included in the novella when it is released!

THE REVIEWS ARE IN!!!!
Book Reviews for Chelsea DorsetteINDIE BOOK REVIEWS“ESCAPE”1. Wow, this book was hot, Hot, HOT!!! “Escape” is a collection of short stories based on vivid, erotic fantasies come to life. So descriptive and intense…really exciting to read. I loved how each story felt different and unique in its own right, not just the same boring routine/descriptions repeated over and over again. Chelsea Dorsette definitely has a great skill writing in this genre and I’d happily and eagerly read anything else she writes. Highly recommended for erotica romance fans. The stories are short and sexy and will get you going like no other!! (5 stars.)
2. I’m sorry, but if “Escape” by Chelsea Dorsette doesn’t get you all turned on then you are dead inside! HA…so steamy and sensual, “Escape” is several short stories revolving around different characters and sexy scenarios (Limos, hotel rooms, etc…) It’s hard to pick a favorite because they were all so delicious but if I HAD to go with one it would probably be “The Limo.” My God, that was HOT. This novella is definitely a keeper on my iPad and my husband is a luckier man for it! So many sexy fantasies come to life in the perfect length to read in a sitting. Will leave you hungry for more. Must read for erotica lovers and totally worth more than 99 cents in my opinion. Such a steal!! (5 stars)
“LONGING”1. I loved reading a different erotic novella by Chelsea Dorsette, so I eagerly read “Longing” which is a novella, but focuses on one complete longer story as oppose to several smaller ones. It was just as amazing as I hoped…and even more so. I Loved it! It takes place in New England, and Tracy and Doug are sexy and addictive. I appreciated that there was actually a completing plot to balance out the steamy sex, and we the reader basically get to live out their sensual exploits in amazing detail. My only complaint about this book is that it had to end, but I know I’ll be re-reading in the future, along with anything else Chelsea Dorsette writes. Amazing. (5 stars).
2. The first thing that happened when I finished reading “Longing” by Chelsea Dorsette was hat I immediately wanted to read it again! OMG these characters were so delicious and their sexiness just jumped right off the pages and into your lap (if you catch my drift, hehe). The writing is very good, which is something that is often lacking in erotic romance novels. They tend to focus just on the sex (often repetitive), but this book explores so much more, and the prose and dialogue is fresh and natural. Its like you are a fly on the wall to a couple’s most intimate, sexy moments, and I guarantee you’ll love every moment of it!! (5 stars).

THIRD NOVELLA SOON TO BE RELEASED!
I just found out last week that my publisher and editor are ready to go to work on my third erotica romance novella called MATCHPOINT. Below is a synopsis!
"After the grief and sadness of losing her mother to cancer, Kelly musters up the courage to move from her home state of New Jersey to the warmer climate of Hilton Head, South Carolina. Leaving her lucrative real estate career behind, Kelly embarks upon her lifelong dream of being a full time mystery writer. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would meet, let alone fall in love with Patrick, her gorgeous and sexy tennis instructor. What starts as innocent flirting, quickly becomes the most erotic sexual relationship she has ever had. But just when things really start steaming up, two jealous and dangerous tennis club employees hatch a plot and implement a plan that breaks them apart. Saddened and thinking there’s no hope of getting Kelly back, an unexpected conversation with his neighbor gives Patrick information that will not only get revenge on the two employees, but will hopefully get Kelly back into his life and his bed again"

THE CREATIVITY OF WRITERS
Before I started writing erotica romance, I spent three years learning the craft of song lyric writing. Although it was an enjoyable experience and I learned a lot from some great Nashville songwriters, I knew I would never become a great lyric writer. But that's OK. Learning the craft and spending many hours in the creative process was very fullfilling.
As I look back on that experience now as a published author, I respect the songwriting process even more when I listen to the radio. I think that I am a much better erotica romance writer than a lyric writer, but even if my books don't become popular with readers, I will still always enjoy the creativity of the writing.process.

A NEW REVIEW FROM INKSPAN - ON ESCAPE!
Greetings Chelsea,
Tina Patterson has submitted feedback for ESCAPE.
Rating5 / 5ContentI entered reading this book with a very open mind. Since normally this is not my type of book to read. But with each word I was captivated. It was exhilarating how the author allowed you to feel the arousal of what was going on in each chapter. I also love the way how the characters were meeting and having their rendezvous and enjoying each other. This is truly a fantasy of which you can see how the author is writing an enjoying what they have put down into words. This is a book I truly would recommend to people who I know would read this and truly enjoy what they are reading. The wording in this book was truly explicit but I believe in order for the author to convey what is going on it did have to be very descriptive. It was very nice how she took you to each story and showed chance meetings between people whether in work or just everyday meetings. How many people have hidden inhibitions to do just what happened in many of the stories and how everythin g panned out in the end. I would have liked to see that perhaps in some of the stories that some of them had another meeting in a future time. But in all I would say that this is very well written and I have enjoyed it. One I had picked it up I really could stop reading this it was too much for me to put down so I just kept reading it cause it truly was a book that I enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this.Would you buy this ebook?YesHow much would you pay?8.99

LEARNING ANYTHING NEW LATELY?
As a new published author, I sometimes find it overwhelming how much there is to learn in the publishing industry. This weekend I went to the Heart of Caroline Romance Writers seminar in which Bob Mayer, CEO of Cool Gus Publishing and long time author was the speaker. Although I learned may things from his presentation, there was one thing he said that stood out, as it relates to sometimes being overwhelmed with learning something new. Even as successful as he is as an author and how long he's been in the publishing industry, he said that when he goes to seminars or conventions, sometimes he wants to throw himself off a bridge. I took that to mean that sometimes you get so overwhelmed by the information that you are receiving, that it makes you feel like what's the point? Of course the opposite is true. Sometimes you can walk away from these things feeling highly motivated and charged, which Bob expressed as well. It's nice to know that someone who is highly successful in his craft, can sometimes feel like a slug, just like the rest of us do sometimes! Bottom line, keep pressing on!

SHOULD SEX SCENES BE FUNNY OR STEAMY?
I was reading the NY Times Sunday book review section yesterday. In the Open Book section, writer John Williams explored the notion of whether sex scenes should be hilarious and not so serious. I like my characters to have hilarious moments in their conversation and their relationship, but when it comes to having sex, I prefer it to be steamy. With that said, I think I would prefer the word FUN vs Hilarious when it comes to having sex. I want my characters to have fun, but steamy sex. For me as an erotica writer, I find that most rewarding to write and to read!

WRITING INSPIRATION
I've gotten inspiration for my storylines in some of the most amazing places and from people that I would never have considered as creative sources! One day while I was getting my hair cut, I was sharing with my hairdresser that I was stuck and needed to create a breakup situation between my two lead characters. As she snipped away, she looked thoughtful and then said, "How about you have the guys ex-girlfriend show up unexpectedly with his child?" Taking her suggestion to heart, I pondered over the details and low and behold...it's in my second book, LONGING. Of course it turned out that it wasn't his child afterall, but it created quite a bit of havoc between my characters until the truth was uncovered. After having that experience, I give every person I meet and every place I go consideration for a plot, story location or personality trait.

DOES THE 50 SHADES TRILOGY MAKE WOMEN FEEL SEXUALLY INADEQUATE?
I had an interesting conversation with a woman recently, about the 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy. I am an erotica romance writer, but I do not venture into hard core like I perceive the 50 Shades books to be. The first interesting thing the woman said to me, was that she didn't find the books hard core at all. What??? I guess that begs the question..."what is considered hard core". The next thing she said, was that many women who come into her lingerie store and get talking about the books, think that because they don't participate in the same sexual activities as the main characters do, that they are somehow sexually inadequate. Really? Now it's been a while since I read those books, but that was not my take away at all. I truly hope the majority of women who have read E.L. James's trilogy don't feel that because they don't participate in those particular sexual practices, that they are in any way sexually inferior or inadequate. Let's face it, men are not that difficult to please sexually so whatever you're doing with your man, I am sure he is more than pleased!

North Carolina Mountains
Now is the perfect time of year to go hiking or camping in the North Carolina mountains. The temperature is perfect and the leaves are starting to turn. If you don't want to get caught up in the crowds that swarm the Asheville area this time of year, try checking out the extensive selection of hikes in Marion, NC. There are numerous trails for all skill levels, not to mention waterfalls and gorges that are breathtaking. Best of all, there won't be the crowds that you'll find around the Appalachian Trail between Boone and Asheville. Enjoy!
