Release Blitz: Shutter - Volume 2 by Eli Chastain

Nikolas Gallo has been my obsession - my only connection to life - for the past five years. I’ve watched his every step, seen the good along with the bad, and documented it through the lens of my camera. I thought I was the only one that knew what I was doing, I was wrong.

The truth has a way of turning the tables. The hunter becomes the hunted. And the spotlight is shining brightly on me.
There’s no denying my guilt and I don’t plan to. All I want to do is pay my penance and move on with my life.

But Niko…

Well, he has other plans for me.

The clang of the door opening is followed closely by blinding sunshine that my eyes have only seen in small doses over the last couple weeks. I stop just outside the door and search in my purse for my sunglasses and oversized hat, hoping to disguise myself.

“The car isn’t here yet, the road is blocked just around the corner.” I hear a familiar voice say. The second my brain recognizes the sound tears well in my eyes.

I’m almost afraid to look up, afraid that he isn’t real and that my mind is playing tricks on me.

“Are you okay?” He asks and my brain continues to absorb the sound of his voice, slowly becoming more confident that it’s actually him. “I’m so sorry that I waited until today to see you.”

I drop the hat that I’ve been holding and watch as it falls slowly to the dirty ground below. The broken pieces of my heart slowly begin to fuse and a tiny spring of hope breaks free.

“Brook?” He whispers my name but I still refuse to look upon his face.

I still don’t speak as the tears slowly spill over and trail down my cheeks. I see the form of his body appear as he kneels down to grasp my hat. His eyes turn to mine and in them I see love, not disappointment at all the lies that have marred me. And the speed of the wetness streaming from my eyes increases at the feeling of pure relief.

“Brooke. Are you okay?” His hands lightly brush across both of my cheeks in an attempt to clear the salty tears. “I should have come sooner, I knew I should but I didn’t.”

As he stands my arms desperately wrap around his strong body and he pulls me in tight. His hands go to the back of my head and smooth down my hair while my tears continue to flow, soaking the front of his suit.

“I didn’t realize how alone you’d felt. Please forgive me.” He says as he kisses the top of my head.

I pull back and look up into his emerald eyes. His hair is long and unruly with blonde curls circling around the bottom of his ears.

“Stephen,” I breathe out his name, “How I’ve been doesn’t matter…anymore. Right now I’m much better.”

Release Day Blitz: Beneath This Mask by Meghan March

Happy Release Day to Meghan March and her new book BENEATH THIS MASK !!!

My name is Charlotte Agoston, and I’m a runner. Not the ‘let’s go for a jog and slap a 26.2 sticker on your bumper’ kind of runner; I’m the kind of runner who takes off when her father is staring down the barrel of a guilty verdict that carries a 175-year sentence for perpetrating the largest fraud in the history of the world. That’s right. Bernie Madoff was an amateur compared to Alistair Agoston.

Faced with living under a cloud of suspicion and constant questioning by the FBI, I ran. I’m making a new life in New Orleans as Charlie Stone. I traded my future in New York high finance for tattoos, booze, a few friends who don’t ask questions, and one giant mutt named Huckleberry Finn. Everything is simple and uncomplicated until Simon Duchesne—former hotshot Navy fighter pilot, NOLA’s favorite son, city councilman, and rumored congressional hopeful—walks into my life.

The flashing cameras he attracts threaten to expose everything I’m hiding, but I can’t seem to stay away. Why are the most dangerous ideas always the most seductive?

In trying to get lost, I found myself. And then I found Simon. He loves me, and he doesn’t even know my real name. I’m going to break his heart, but mine will shatter right along with it. This is our story.

Will we be strong enough to face the consequences of revealing what’s beneath this mask?

Backing me into a corner, he trapped me in the circle of his arms, much like he had earlier at the gate. I reached up and laid my palms against his chest, tracing the compass inked on his pectoral muscle with my index finger. Our skin didn’t touch anywhere else, but mine prickled with the need to feel him against me. I leaned closer, but he grasped my shoulders, effectively holding me back. I looked up questioningly. “You left me a message, then slammed a gate in my face, then you strip in front of me, and invite me to go skinny dipping. I can’t keep up with you. I need to know what the hell is going on here before it goes any further.” I sagged back against the edge of the pool, letting the concrete lip dig into my spine. So much for my hastily constructed plan. An experienced seductress I was not. He must have read the defeat in my expression because he said, “I’m not saying I’m not interested. Hell, I’m buck ass naked, and I can’t exactly hide that I want you. But I need to know ... why now? What changed?” I stared down at the water, wishing fleetingly that the pool lights were on so I’d know for certain that he still did, in fact, want me. But given the leap I’d taken by stripping naked in front of him, I suppose I owed him at least some sort of an explanation. “I decided that, for tonight, I didn’t care that you’re you and I’m me. I decided to take a risk and see what happened.” My answer was vague and without substance, but I hoped it would be enough. Heat pulsed between my legs and my nipples beaded almost painfully. I wanted him. Now. But he didn’t relent. “It doesn’t matter who I am or who you are. Tonight or any other night. We’re just people.” I held in a snort. Barely. He wouldn’t be in this pool if he knew who I really was. I was poison to someone like him. To everyone. Simon tilted my chin up, forcing me to meet his eyes. “If I fuck you tonight, are you going to throw me out on my ass as soon as we’re done and never call me again?” I bit my lip. Damn. He should be a freaking interrogator instead of a politician. But I wasn’t going to lie to him. At least not about this. “Probably.” He released my chin and backed away. “Then, no.” He shook his head. “This isn’t happening. Not tonight.” He turned and made his way to the stairs. I caught a flash of his pale, muscular ass as he climbed out of the pool. I looked down at the water, hot humiliation filling me. What the hell am I doing? I sank farther beneath the surface, up to my chin. I needed to be covered. I heard the rustle of clothes and wondered how he was drying off without a towel. But I didn’t look up to assuage my curiosity. I’d given in to curiosity once already tonight, and this was where it landed me. In a pool of my own shame. He cleared his throat, and I finally looked up. He was wearing his tux pants, and the shirt was partially buttoned. He held his soaked white undershirt in his hand. One question answered. His hazel eyes drilled into me. “You have my number. Call me when you want more than a quick fuck.” And then he was gone.

meghan march Meghan March is a Michigan native who has spent a good portion of her life buried in a book. Case in point: she read the entire romance section of her small town public library by age fourteen. Even after growing up (sort of) and getting a law degree, she never lost her passion for a great story, twisty plot, epic romance, and amazing characters. When she’s not writing, she’s probably reading, target shooting, drooling over fast cars, playing with her crazy mutt, or hanging with her very own sexy bad boy.

Blog Tour: Strike (Spark #3) by Jennifer Ryder

Title: StrikeSeries: Spark #3Author: Jennifer RyderGenre: Erotic Romance

Fast. That’s how I like life, especially my two great joys: bikes and women. I’m committed to exclusively riding one, but not the other.

Until April.

A sexy-arse freelance photographer who’s travelled the world, and doesn’t do long walks on the beach or romantic candlelit dinners. She enjoys running with the bulls and food spicy enough to make your hair fall out. If that weren’t enough to get me hard, she rides a mean mother of a motorcycle.

I’ve gotta have a taste of this wildcat.

~Spencer (Jones)
I don’t do fast. Not anymore. I’ve got my career, my independence, and since I fled Spain to come back home I promised myself that I wouldn’t be put second—or third, for that matter—again.

Then I meet pretty boy Spencer.

He’s smooth, oozing the most potent pheromones probably known to modern science, and he’s making a move on me. One kiss was almost enough for my promise to dissolve.

My head says no—my treacherous body screams yes. I’m gonna make Spencer work for it. Make him fight for the chance to have me, because I know that deep down I’m worth it.

~April MacIntyre
*Strike is book three in the Spark series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but continues on with characters from Spark and Spike.
*Recommended for 18+ as it contains very steamy sex with motocross boys *sigh*.

I open the door, my sight setting firstly on a pair of stylish black leather shoes. My gaze wanders up a long pair of legs in a sharp navy suit with matching tie, to a pair of dreamy blue eyes, and perfectly-styled blond hair.

“Spencer. What are you doing here?” Did he leave the apartment this morning looking this fuckable? If I’d had the pleasure of seeing him dressed like this I would have dragged him back into bed. There’d be no more orgasms in my sleep, as I’d be getting them from Spencer.

His Adam’s apple bobs up and down, his eyes running a fiery trail over my body. Well, mainly my boobs. I guess they’re out there in this crop top, and my short-shorts don’t leave much covered, but fuck it. I’m working out in forty degrees celcius. I’m not wearing a tracksuit.

“Fuck. Hot yoga?” he gasps, his eyebrows moving closer to his hairline.

“Yep, hot yoga.” I grin with satisfaction.

“Is that the pizza?” Soph asks, smacking me playfully on the arse.

“Hey, watch it,” I bark and turn to her. She stills when she finds an immaculately-dressed Spencer in my doorway.

“Sweet Jesus, April. Hot yoga with Sophie?”

I turn to Soph. She’s about as dressed as I am, and she has a killer body. I shake my head, and bite down on my lip. I bet there are a dozen different lesbian scenarios running through that pretty head of his right now. Can’t say I’m not enjoying this shade of green on him.

New Adult and erotic romance writer, and author of the Spark series. The second book in the five part series, Spike, is to be released on 28 May 2014.

A sexy imagination, a life-long love of books and a sucker for romance, Jennifer Ryder couldn't stifle her creativity any longer.

Writing steamy adult romance has become her new focus. Living on a rural property in New South Wales, Australia, she enjoys the best of city and country.

Her loving husband is ever willing to provide inspiration, and her two young cherubs, and sheep that don't see fences as barriers, keep life more than interesting.

Jennifer placed third in the International Stringybark Erotic Short Fiction Award 2013.

Book Blitz: The Rental (The Rental #1) by Rebecca Berto

Welcome to The Rental by Rebecca Berto ... this is definitely one you will want to pick up.  The chemistry between Rick and Vee is scorching and not to be missed!

Title: The Rental Author: Rebecca Berto Series: The Rental #1 Publication date: September 22nd 2014 Genres: Adult, Erotica, Romance

At first, Rick Delaney watched Vee Wyland with the hungry eyes of a fox as if she were a rabbit … his rabbit. But one day, he slunk away without notice.

Months away from graduating high school, Vee’s life is on the verge of crumbling. At home, dire finances and long hours test her family. Her boyfriend hardly pays attention to her. And she can’t shake her feelings for his older brother, Rick.

Then, all in one night, tragedy tears her teetering life into shreds.

When Rick and Vee reunite, the sparks fly. However, she unwittingly signs away a future for both of them. In his world, a place called The Rental, she becomes Victoria and Rick becomes Rhett. One part of her watches with fascination, while the other unfurls and embraces her sexual awakening. It began as a game, but the consequences are real.

Following their heart’s desire is forbidden, but walking away could strip their hope for a future.

The Rental is an erotic romance that explores how sex isn’t purely physical; sometimes, it’s a gateway to your soul.

Laundry-room Moment:
At the entry, I met Rick. Looking up, I took in his clean-shaven jawline; crisp, fitted shirt; sleeves rolled at his elbows. How could the guy be more gorgeous every time I saw him? I glanced down at his black jeans and leather-tapered shoes. Holy shit. I let out a breath and tried smiling at his face, but I couldn’t hold the intense gaze of his for more than a split second, so I looked down to my boots. I slid past him, and déjà vu slammed into my chest. Not ready for a laundry encounter like last week, I took a cup and focused on steadying my trembles as I reached for the tap. I dared to look at him and he was fixated on my fingers. Not a moment later, his big hands engulfed mine. My trembles disappeared at his touch. Rick had a presence around people, but around me, his gravitational pull was overwhelming. And right now, it scared me—wanting to run away, yet also wanting to fall deeper into this moment.I was with Justin.Justin was Rick’s brother.“You okay?” He looked into my eyes and felt my forehead with the back of his hand. “You’re burning.”I blushed and looked away to hurry some ice into my cup. “It’s damn hot in that garage. It’s crazy.”“Ah.” He paused for so long that I felt the air thicken in my throat as I swallowed. “It is. But you’re okay?”Was I? The right answer was yes, but I sure as hell didn’t feel that way. He was my whirlwind, and he’d swept into my world with all-encompassing force, spinning me again and again with our meetings. The hairs on my skin stood on end. “Oh, totally,” I said lightly. “Go on and enjoy your party.”He remained and looked at me. The corner of his lips turned up, but it felt forced and weighed down by the other downturned corner. His eyes, once warm, were now dreary. Even his body seemed to be slumping. He turned, but caught himself on the door and smiled. “I am. Trust me, I am.” Like that, he flipped his mood. I didn’t know what caused it or why. Maybe Justin’s whacky behaviour had plagued Rick all week too, and my mention of ‘enjoying’ himself reminded him of that.“You staying past midnight?”“Yeah. I mean, maybe, maybe not. Might just leave a tip for your show. I heard they’re all putting in.”“You want to see the show, Vee?”I shuddered hearing him say my name. Damn it, the guy’s voice was smooth, yet coarse enough to rough up my insides. I smiled, confident. I wasn’t going to let my stupid drunken head get the better of me. And stuff the water! I was going to grab another Cruiser. I dumped the water and ice down the drain, grabbed a bottle from a pack, and stepped between Rick’s body and the nearby bench. “Yeah,” I said. “I wanna see it.”“Before you go …”I halted, holding my breath, and the sensation of the icy bottle slipped away. I let my eyes roam, and drank him in the way I intended to with my drink. Passionate, private, and poisoning me to sweet surrender. No touching anywhere wrong. No acting out. No worries. He opened his mouth to speak, but it hung there, gaping. Rather than exude sexual vibes, it had flipped back to distraught, and it made him look like a big boy. A fragile boy. Like I had to hold him together. He seemed broken and sad underneath, except as the birthday boy, he wore a cool smile and held his shoulders high—a facade to the rest of the world. Only here, Rick and I were in our own world, one where no barriers existed. Beneath skin deep, I felt the darkness occupying him.“Birthday hug?” he asked and I answered, “Yes,” at the same time from his previous question. He leant over me. I watched it in slow motion and my stomach swirled with anticipation. His arm brushed my shoulder and he flicked the laundry door shut. The space was technically the same size, but the room had shrunken. I tilted my head down and inhaled, my nose near his collarbone. My nerves spurred me on while my thoughts screamed at me to stop making a fool of myself. The spice smelt of cologne, but mostly the freshness of frangipani-scented laundry detergent. It was sweet enough I wished I could cuddle up and drift away with it. Somehow, that whole minute in my head must have only taken a second or two. Rick stepped the other way and yanked down the cord to cover the door window, a view leading to the backyard. When the blind fell, it was done. The room was closed off. We were alone. For what? This ‘birthday hug?’I wanted him. Alone. Unseen. But I had no desire to cheat. He captured me inside his space, his arms around my waist like butterfly wings. My body melted as if he was my heat source and I moulded my chin to the crook of his neck. My hands connected with his chest, feeling his life source beating madly beneath me. I quaked at the touch. Hands gliding, I felt around his contours, up his back until I run out of muscle, then linked my hands over each other and flattened them.He hummed. Not a moan, nor a plea of pleasure. And it thrilled a spot inside me. Where I was a puzzle piece before—incomplete and in search—our reunion connected it. I had been lonelier than I was aware. My boyfriend hadn’t been there for me for weeks now. He’d been there, oh, yes, how he’d been here, there, and everywhere, but not around me. Supported by Rick, I felt like a blossoming seed—I’d attached to solid ground and now I was growing with life. I couldn’t recite Rick’s middle name or his favourite dessert, but I could feel his heart against my chest. I could feel the thrum and beat of our bodies in sync. Could feel the residual emotion and heat we’d once had—unsaid and assumed—coming together as one.Rick parted and hooked my chin in his big, yet soft grasp. His dark eyes held mine, and I couldn’t tear them away. Softly, he said, “Sorry. I mean, I’m not sorry for you, but I am for everything else. So thanks. Thanks for everything when you didn’t have to do anything.” I couldn’t quite focus on his words, as if I was waiting for the punch line to bring it all together, but I felt the emotion behind his voice.“Thanks,” I said. I didn’t know why I said it back, but it felt right, like the inherent knowledge that simmered to the surface when getting back on a bicycle. There the whole time—understood by the body, even if not by the mind.Reality sunk on me then, reeling me in. I blinked. Party, blinds, door. Us alone. I yanked the blind up, and Rick turned the doorknob, releasing our privacy.
“Sorry for acting strange,” he admitted. “Like you said, it’s pretty crazy in there and I needed … I needed a break. I’m drunk. I’m … going.” He gave me a parting smile, and it wrapped around my skin, now full of goosebumps in the wake of his departure.

Rebecca Berto writes stories about love and relationships. She gets a thrill when her readers are emotional reading her books, and gets even more of a kick when they tell her so. She's strangely imaginative, spends too much time on her computer, and is certifiably crazy when she works on her fiction.

Rebecca Berto lives in Melbourne, Australia with her boyfriend and their pets.
