New Release: Weapons Of War. Rebellion, Book Two

In the year 2280, an alien fleet stole our Earth.

For fifty years they hunted us.
For fifty years they enslaved us.
For fifty years we lived in fear.

Nothing lasts forever.

They can try to quell us.
They can try to break us.
They can chase us to the ends of the Earth.
They can chase us to the ends of the Universe.

We’ve won our first battle.
We’ve earned our first taste of hope.
What was theirs will soon be ours.

We are the rebellion.
Our story continues…

New Release: Dead Stare - Ghosts & Magic, Book Three

Conor Night, the world’s only necromancer, is starting to think that his life is finally coming together. His last job not only left him funded, but also helped him fall off the radar of the world’s two most powerful wizards. Of course, being a necromancer always has its downsides, and when he’s forced into a job that will leave the Houses on the brink of all-out war, he begins to realize just how down those sides can be.

He thinks he understands the rules in the world of ghosts and magic.

Unfortunately for him, the rules are about to change.

Some Good News for Audiobook Fans

I wanted to share some news I've recently received regarding the War Eternal series. As you may or may not know, The End of Liberty's release in audio format has been long delayed.

A few weeks ago, I was informed that this was due to the publisher, Podium, getting involved in a contract dispute with Audible and being unable to release some titles while they worked on getting a new agreement in place.  That agreement is now finalized, and the books are flowing once more.

What does that mean?

It means the End of Liberty on audio has a release date: February 2nd. It should be up for preorder within the next week.

For any of you who read this who have been waiting to listen to the next part of the series in audio, thank you for your patience, and expect books 3, 4 and onward to come to audio much, much faster.

New Release: Execution. The Divine, Book Six

You've been patiently (or maybe impatiently) waiting for almost a year and a half, but the moment has finally come. Execution, the Divine Series Book Six, is now available on Amazon!

Execution (The Divine Book 6)

By M.R. Forbes

Landon Hamilton, the champion of humankind in the war between good and evil, had thought he'd seen the last of the demon Abaddon when he destroyed Archangel Avriel’s Box.

He was wrong.

Abaddon is back, summoned to our world by an old acquaintance and desperate for the freedom he was promised.

Now the race is on for Landon and his motley team of angels, demons, and mortals to find a way to destroy Abaddon and put a stop to his handler's plot before humankind is laid to waste.

He's outmatched and out of time. But then again, isn't he always?

A mission failed...
A civilization on the edge of collapse...
A dangerous alliance to save it...

Colonel Mitchell “Ares” Williams has never been one to accept failure. While the outcome on Liberty is a crushing setback to his and the Rigger’s chances of salvaging the war, there’s no time to waste on regret. After all, the mission wasn’t a total loss, delivering an unexpected asset in the wake of their defeat:

Liun Tio, a.k.a the Knife, a notorious warlord and enemy of the Alliance, whose deep-seated mistrust of artificial intelligence and control over what may be the largest free fleet in the galaxy have made him the most important man alive.

If humanity is going to have a chance to survive the Tetron onslaught, Ares and the Knife will need to find a way to work together. But can the two learn to trust one another enough to bring the power of their joint forces to bear against a common enemy? Or will their fragile alliance crumble beneath the weight of personal motives and divergent goals?

As Mitchell and the Riggers will soon discover, the knife’s edge cuts both ways.

Get it here!

New Release: His Final Secret

hfs-cover-website-900

hfs-cover-website-900

The fight is nearly over. His reign of darkness is reaching its end.

The cure for magic has been discovered, and for Talon the truth of its source is more horrible than he could have imagined. Tormented by what he has learned and on the verge of falling from reason to madness, he leaves the Refinery more determined than ever to put an end to his tyranny once and for all.

Oz has led Eryn and their companions deep into the mountains, to a place long buried beneath the stone. They have a plan to set the Empire free, but first they must find a way to escape the relentless pursuit of General Spyne and his strange and silent hunter.

Battles will be fought, bonds will be broken, and his final secret will be revealed.

Get it here.

I don't usually write that much here to accompany my new releases. I tend to save most of my words for the INSIDE of my books. This is the final book in the Tears of Blood series, and I want to thank all of you who have read it through to the end. Writing ToB been an interesting journey for me. His Dark Empire was the third book I published, and after the success of the Divine series I thought I knew how to sell books.

I was completely wrong. The covers were okay, but not great. The blurb was weak. It has been a constant struggle to get readers to these books for the last two years. With the success of my other series, especially War Eternal, ToB became more a labor of love than anything else. I had a vision for the story from day one. I exactly knew where and how I wanted it to end. That doesn't happen often for me. Books change as I write them. They grow and mature as the pieces fall into their places. The endings shift, sometimes a little, sometimes completely. Not ToB.

That doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be happy with the ending. It's bittersweet. Depending on your perspective, it may lean more towards the bitter side. It's the kind of ending I don't think a traditional publisher would have ever let make it into print.

But that's why I'm proud of these books, and this series. That's why I've invested in new covers for all of them, and spent hours tweaking the lead-in blurb in an effort to find more readers. I hope when you read His Final Secret, when you reach the end, that you either love it or hate it. A one-star or a five, with no in-between. I hope that you feel something when the curtain comes down, because I surely did. I hope the characters have become as real to you as they have to me.

Thank you again.
