Erotica Censorship on Some Sites
Hi everyone.
Maybe you've heard some rumors and whisperings that erotica is being removed from all retailers everywhere.
At the moment, this is not *completely* true, but here are a couple of things I have observed.
1) Kobo has taken down ALL self published titles uploaded through distributor, D2D in a baby/bathwater style attempt to remove erotica. In all likelihood, anything uploaded through Writing Life is next, but we don't know.
2) WH Smith shut down their site in an even worse episode of baby/bathwater confusion.
3) Amazon has been cracking down on pseudo-incest, rape and bestiality stories for months, and it appears this is coming to a head just as babies are being dumped into the sewers at record rates. Amazon, *from what I can tell* is far more surgical about what they're filtering or removing.
4) There was a mumbling about BN, but I have nothing substantiated. I will advise when I know.
What can you do?
**BACK UP YOUR BOOKS**
EBOOKS ARE LICENSED, NOT BOUGHT
You could wake up one day, and find they're gone and your money refunded.
Back. Up. Your. Books.
And keep your eyes and ears open. Let's see how this shakes out.
