Magiford Sale: Pack of Dawn and Destiny
It’s 2023, a brand new year that’s waiting to be filled with fun new experiences and memories! I am SO GLAD to slam the door on 2022 and lock it for good measure. Here’s hoping that 2023 is more enjoyable!
But with the fun of Christmas over, that means it’s officially Magiford Supernatural City time as Chloe’s trilogy–Gate of Myth and Power–is getting released. Book 2 is releasing in a week, but we’re starting the celebration now with a massive Pack of Dawn and Destiny sale!
Today through January 9th, Hunted (book 1) is free and United (book 2) is discounted to 99 cents!
Book 1: Amazon.com | All other Amazon Stores
Book 2: Amazon.com | All other Amazon Stores
Book 3: Amazon.com | All other Amazon Stores
If you haven’t read this series yet (or if you read it through Kindle Unlimited) now the time to grab these books at a huge discount. This series is also perfect for binging in a long weekend making it a great winter time read.
If werewolves aren’t normally your favorite paranormal then don’t worry as my own dog (Perfect Dog!) had a lot more influence then I even realized when I was writing these books, which is why my werewolves kick butt, but also love cuddles and playing.
Here’s the description from the first book if you want to know more about what this series is like:
Ever feel like you don’t belong? Try being a hunter living with werewolves. I’m the definition of “doesn’t fit in”. I’m not Pack, but I’m not the enemy, either.
I struggle to survive among werewolves who are stronger and faster than me, and are competitive enough to break a bone or two for the sake of “fun.”
Greyson, their alpha, is the worst of them all.
Blatantly relentless and twice as deadly, Greyson rules the Pack and expands its territory even though it’s already the largest in the region. I just wish he’d stop interfering with my life. He’s got enough trouble of his own with his incomplete mate bond, but he’s made it his hobby to tease and test me at every opportunity.
Doesn’t my life sound fun?
When wolves from surrounding packs start mindlessly attacking the innocent humans in our city, Timber Ridge, everything changes.
Werewolves don’t turn feral without reason. Which means someone is making this happen, and they’re targeting our Pack.
I don’t like where this is going, but how am I supposed to stop a feral wolf outbreak when I’m just one hunter? Can Greyson and I set aside our differences to see the Pack through this?
Tell any friends/family who you think might be interested in trying Pip’s story! In the meantime, thanks for reading, Champions, and welcome to 2023!

A New Year’s Celebration
Happy New Year, Champions!
In honor of the holiday I wanted to remind you of my New Year themed short story featuring the extended cast from the Court of Midnight and Deception series: A New Year’s Celebration: Click here for the PDF!
This short features the yearly ceremony of the New Year that is hosted by the Day Court and the Night Court in Magiford. I mentioned the ceremony in the Court of Midnight and Deception series, but I knew it wouldn’t make sense for the plot to add this in–particularly since Rigel was gone for Leila’s first celebration–so I’m happy I was able to share this extra short story with you!
I hope you have a fabulous New Year, Champions, and that 2023 brings you lots of laughter, fun, and joy!

Christmas Gift: Goose Girl
Merry Christmas, Champions!
For Christmas, I have a tradition of offering my novella, Goose Girl (Entwined Tales #1), for free! It’s almost Christmas so that means it’s time to get your free story! You can grab it today, December 23rd, through December 27th!
Amazon.com | All Other Amazon Stores
As a royal lady’s maid, Rynn has one task: Escort the princess of Astoria to her intended’s kingdom and return home. Unfortunately for the former goose girl, the princess has other plans.
When her charge flees, Rynn’s not only forced to take the princess’s place, but she must also contend with a spiteful fairy horse, a good dose of political intrigue, and Conrad…the mysterious and all-too observant lord who consumes more of her thoughts than he should.
But with war looming on the horizon, Rynn stands to lose more than her heart. Can she convince the princess to return, end the charade, and make peace between the kingdoms?
More importantly, can she possibly avoid a death sentence when the truth is revealed?
Snag a copy for yourself, and pass the news along to anyone you think would enjoy this novella! (Important spoiler for those familiar with the original version of the Goose Girl fairy tale….the horse lives!)
But that’s not all! To spread the Christmas Cheer even farther, all the other novellas in the Entwined Tales series written by my author pals are on sale as well! Every book in the series is FREE so if you want to try these books, or if you previously read it in Kindle Unlimited and would like your own copy, now is the time to get them!
Merry Christmas, Champions, and Happy New Year! I hope you have a special and wonderful weekend, and thanks for reading!

King’s Captive Celebratory Short Story!
King’s Captive is out now, and in record time we reached the goal of 100 reviews! (I feel like I say that every time. Which, you would think would imply I’m exaggerating, except even though I prepared the short story in advance, EVERY TIME it’s a mad scramble to get it up on the website because you Champions do reach the goal earlier and earlier with every book!)
Still haven’t picked King’s Captive up yet? You can get it here!
A huge thank you to everyone who left a review/rating on King’s Captive! I know I’ve gone over how important they are for new books in the past, but this time the reviews had a very personal impact on me, as I was anxious about Chloe’s series since it’s unusual, and 2022 made writing…difficult.
Sincerely, thank you for taking the time to leave honest–an amazing–reviews. They were the encouragement I needed as I tackle writing Chloe’s final book, and I am so relieved you Champions enjoy Chloe’s and Noctus’s interactions. Now, let’s get on to the celebration!
For those of you who haven’t started Chloe’s series this short story technically doesn’t have spoilers, but I’d still suggest waiting to read it until you finish King’s Captive.
Here’s the short story: Surviving Magiford
This short story will be a little bit of a walk down memory lane as it follows Chloe on her previous excursions in Magiford short stories/books. I hope you enjoy it, and thanks again for all of the support you’ve already shown Chloe, Noctus, and their friends.
As a bit of a heads up, I won’t be doing any Gates of Myth and Power themed posts for the rest of the month. That fun will begin in January, with Pip’s trilogy going on sale!
I still have one last Christmas gift for you–Goose Girl will be free on Christmas day, as will the entire Entwined Tales series, which is a first! But I’ll have posts going out to remind you when it is actually available for free.
Until then, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Champions! Thanks again, I am so, so, so delighted you enjoyed Chloe’s first adventure!

The King’s Captive: Spoiler Post!
Greetings, Champions! The King’s Captive is out, and I know a bunch of you pulled all nighters to read it, so it’s time for the Spoiler Post. This is the first time I’m attempting this, but I wanted to give you blog-reading Champions a place to voice your reading thoughts during the launch fun!
And because I’m sure you’re wondering, as usual, I’ve written a short story as my “thank you” for King’s Captive’s launch and for it reaching 100 reviews–that’s 100 honest reviews pooling from all the amazon stores and Goodreads! Reviews are a big deal for authors. Honest reviews can help readers decide if a book is their thing or not, and they help with specific marketing opportunities. I’m so thankful that you’re willing to spend your time leaving a review–which is why I write the shorts! If history is any indication, you can expect to see the short story….very soon. (Hahah, you guys are the best!) But until then, let’s talk spoilers!
Warning: If you are waiting to read this series until all the books are out, or if you haven’t gotten a chance to read The King’s Captive yet, then I’d suggest waiting before you check out the rest of the post or read the comments, or you’ll spoil the story for yourself!
So, Champions, what was your favorite part? Was there anything unexpected? Personally, I had a blast writing Aristide and Ker specifically, so I can’t wait to hear what you all thought of them!
A few of members of the team described Chloe’s story as being on the cozier side, which I do agree with. Although Noctus is ridiculously overpowered, the story is of a smaller scale–I think because neither Chloe or Noctus are interested in saving the world the way some of my other Magiford protagonists are.
Were there any parts that made you laugh? Anything you’re looking forward to seeing in King’s Shadow?

King’s Captive: Pre-Release Now!
It’s only 5 days before King’s Captive releases on December 16th, and I finally have the pre-order link to share with you!
Pre-Order: Amazon.com | All other Amazon Stores
If you are the type that likes to prepare before starting a new series then make sure you check out all my blog post recommendations for what you can do to get ready while you are waiting for the book launch day. So, who is excited for the big day?! (And who is going to get donuts for the occasion?!)
I can turn into a housecat.
It’s a fun magic, except in a world filled with vampires and werewolves, it doesn’t exactly make me a powerhouse. Instead, the supernatural community has classified me as an outcast, which means one thing: Picking on me is open season all day every day.
The local fae are the worst of all, and it’s during one of their regular “capture the cat-girl” sessions that I shift into my cat form and meet HIM for the first time.
Noctus is so powerful his magic radiates off him like a sun, and my fae captors can barely look in his general direction. And then my life gets even more terrifying when Noctus decides to take me with him. As a pet.
Why did he pick today to “adopt don’t shop” a cat?
It gets worse when I realize he’s an elf, a ruling race of supernaturals that was supposedly killed off centuries ago.
But he’s not just any elf, no. He’s an elven King, with heaps of secrets to protect. Secrets that I am quickly learning since he includes his new pet in everything from breaking into buildings to inspect classified paperwork to tracking down sketchy supernaturals.
All this means is if he gets even a hint that I’m not a real cat, I’m going to find out firsthand how elves treat their prisoners.
So, escaping Noctus is priority #1. How hard can it be? (Answer: very.)
Thanks for reading, Champions! See you on release day!

A Gift For You…
Happy Holidays, Champions!
Every December I like to write and share a new short story as a small way for me to say “thank you”. And this year year is no exception! I wrote this story as a thank you to to each and every Champion who has been such a support to me over my writing journey, especially during this year of health issues. I couldn’t have made it without your encouragement!
This year’s Christmas Gift/Short Story is from the Elves of Lessa world. It’s been a while since we’ve visited Myth, Tari, and Fyn, so I hope this story makes you laugh. Here it is: Notes on Elves!
This is the first time I’ve written a letters style short story for the Elves of Lessa series, but I’ve already done two of them for The Timeless Fairy Tales series:
Between a Queen and Her Colonel: PDF fileBetween a Prince and His Lady: PDF fileI’m curious to hear what you think about this style of short story? (Post in the comments below!) Personally I like them since I get to really let the character’s personalities shine which means I can also bring in the humor in full force, without having to worry about adding to the cannon of the story. (Even with my grids and outlines, I can keep only so much straight!)
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Champions.

Prepare for Gates of Myth and Power
Greetings, Champions, are you ready for Chloes trilogy, Gates of Myth and Power? I’ve been working on this series forever, and it was important to me to play with the Hades and Persephone myth in a new way, so I can’t wait to share it! But since we still have some time before King’s Captive launches on December 16th–the pre-order link isn’t up yet, either, but we’re working on that–here’s some ideas of what you might want to do to prepare during the wait!
Warning! The following blog post will have a few tiny spoilers–ie: Chloe’s favorite food–so if you’re the kind of reader who prefers to go into a series totally blind, you might want to skip reading this post! Otherwise, read on!
First, if you want to squeal and theorize with other Champions, I’d suggest joining one of our communities!
Things to do:
Join discord, or the Facebook Group: Already both groups are counting down until release day, but the big reason I suggest joining is for the talk that will explode in both groups after King’s Captive goes live! If you really want to go down rabbit holes with wild theories, Discord is the place for you! If enjoy more casual chit chat and want to see what parts of King’s Captive everyone liked, and talk about your favorite characters, the Facebook Group is where you want to go! Also, this year I’ll also be posting a spoiler blog post for you blog post commenters to talk on, too! (It’ll come out early in the morning on the 16th!)Take the “Which Supernatural Are You” quiz! (It hasn’t been updated with a new type of supernatural, that will happen after King’s Captive launches!)Next, if you want to be as “in the know” as possible, then I’d suggest a re-read of the Magiford series where Chloe appears!
What to read:
Hall of Blood & Mercy short story: Sincerely, House Medeis: While events from HoBaM are important, it’s the short story where we get our first glimpse of Chloe in her cat form in the entire world!Court of Midnight and Deception trilogy: Chloe, with her ability to shift from human to a black housecat, is mentioned twice in this series in her cat form, but you’ll also want to familiarize yourself with events from this series!Pack of Dawn and Destiny trilogy: Chloe is seen twice in this series, and her books take place the year after the events of Pip’s books, so Pip’s series will put you in the best position to know what’s going on in the world of Magiford most recently.Book Party Fun: Do you want to theme your reading time? Then I’d suggest having these things on hand…
Your favorite donut: Chloe has a sweet tooth for donuts, as you’ll find out on the first page of The King’s Captive!A glass of your favorite type of milk: cow, coconut, goat, oat–whatever kind of milk you like, Chloe also loves!Ambience music: If you like having ambience sounds or music on in the background while you read, or maybe if you want to listen to ambience music ahead of time to prepare, I highly recommend this one hour ambient music Youtube clip!Reminder that The King’s Captive will launch on December 16th, so mark your calendars! I don’t have a pre-order link just yet but at the latest it will be available for pre-order about 1 week before the release date. And, for those who are especially curious, here’s the description for King’s Captive!
I can turn into a housecat.

Not including today we’ve got eleven days until launch day! Keep an eye out for updates, though. It is Christmas time, and I do love gifts…
Thanks for reading, Champions, and have a lovely week!

Sweet and Free Fantasy Romance
Christmas is one of my favorite times of the whole year, and I love surprising you Champions with fun gifts! I always have a free book to share with you during December, but this year I teamed up with some other authors (including Tara Grayce and Melanie Cellier) to offer you a whole “stack” of free ebooks!
Even better, all the books are in the fantasy genre and they all have romance as a main plot point or a sub-plot.
Quick note about the heat level! This promotion is only for sweet/clean books and our Discord Manager, Vin, spent a lot of time vetting the other authors to make sure they meet that requirement. She didn’t have time to read every book they’ve ever written but she did her best to make sure their content matches my books. However, it’s still wise to check reviews before you plunge into a new author’s books, particularly if it’s a series the author didn’t promote as part of this special.
The books will be free on Amazon now through December 5th. Click here to see the full list!
If you’re wondering which one of my books is included in the free sale I decided to go BIG with this gift and I made the first boxset (books 1-3) of the Timeless Fairy Tales series free for a limited time. If you haven’t read this series yet, grabbing the first three books for free is a great way to jump in. This series is also a great follow up to The Snow Queen Saga if you tried that boxset earlier this year.
Once again, click here for the full list of free books, including my three pack! Happy Reading, Champions, I hope you find some great new reads!

Gifts for a Bookworm
Happy soon-to-be December, Champions! (Is the day before the night before December a thing??) May the celebrating and fun begin with the start of this glorious and wonderful month!
Are you in search of fun bookish merch, or do you need ideas for your Christmas list? Or maybe you are looking for ideas for something you could make for your favorite fellow bookworm in your life?
Then don’t worry, my Pinterest Boards have got you covered (along with a few additional suggestions from me!).
DIY Book Gifts and Crafts Pinterest Board
I will openly admit that this specific board is mostly pins related to various Fairy Tales or Alice in Wonderland, but they are just so cute/pretty! Some of these Pins go beyond crafts into “works of art” territory, but there are some simpler ones too (like the book page treat bags or the book page table runner). If it wasn’t obvious from the examples I just listed, most of these crafts involve using book pages, so if the thought of chopping up a book (even one that isn’t your favorite) disturbs you, maybe skip this one and go onto my next board…
Bookworm Gifts and Bookish Swag Pinterest Board
This has all kinds of great stuff, from socks, t-shirts, mugs, bookends, ornaments, and fun games. Beware as you can easily spend a lot of time checking out all the great stuff linked on this board.
Now I’m going to specifically plug a few of my personal favorites:
Marrying Mr. Darcy – I have definitely mentioned this game before but this is a perfect chance to mention it again because I truly believe that if you like Jane Austen and if you have a sense of humor you NEED this game in your life. If you haven’t played the Marrying Mr. Darcy game please, please give it a try! It is SO. MUCH. FUN! Especially if you play it with people who are willing to get into the spirit of it, because many of the cards say ridiculous things like “Scandal! Your dress was deemed too revealing!” It also lends itself to lots of fake gasping is surprise and some questionable British accents, so what’s not to love?
Agatha Christie Puzzle – I originally picked out this puzzle because I am a bit of an Agatha Christie fan, and because I really enjoyed that the puzzle itself is also a sort of mash-up of the I Spy books I had as a kid. The puzzle contains hints/references to different Agatha Christie stories for you to find as you put the puzzle together, and overall the puzzle designers weren’t too mean with the color choices they used for the image. Normally I avoid puzzles with 1,000 pieces or more, but since this one is an illustration and not a grey photo of clouds and water there aren’t any parts where–in piecing it together–you just hate life.
– There are several different Harry Potter themed little Christmas villages or building ornaments, but I’ve personally been collecting these ones from Hallmark, and I love them so so much! They look cool on the tree but they also look cool lined up next to each other so you can make your own mini Diagon Alley! Speaking from personal experience make sure you open the box and inspect that nothing is broken as soon as you get it so you have time to get a replacement if you need one before they are out of stock!
Have you received any bookish gifts in the past that you’ve loved? Share them in the comments below!
