JumpStart TAKING GOD’S NAME IN VAIN
Exodus 20:7 says “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” If we say something like, “God wouldn’t help me,” or, “This is too big even for God,” we limit God’s power to transform our lives… The JumpStart Today question is: How are you taking God’s name as if it has no value by speaking words that limit God? My wife Marti and our daughter Starr own InBliss yoga here in Kansas City. There are a lot of reasons that these two lights shine so bright but I think it’s because of their decision to be different from all of the other yoga studios AND to be different in ways that are important to them. They call it the 3 “S”s— Spirituality, Snacks and Savasana. The French saying, “Vive La Différence” means “Long Live the Different.” Life is found in what is different.
