We are going to be at OryCon 36, Oregon’s largest Science Fiction/Fantasy convention! Stop by the Author’s Alley of the Dealers Room to purchase Cameron Lambright’s sci-fi novel, Blazing the Sun, or his brand new multi-genre novel, The Young Garden Manifesto. Or get both! New Book – SOON! + Cameron’s Poetry

Incandescence Press is excited to announce that we are in the final stages of a new book project, Cameron Lambright’s The Young Garden Manifesto. We are currently finalizing the cover, which is being created by talented artist Soheil Tousi (who also did the cover for Blazing the Sun). The Young Garden Manifesto is a contemporary literary novel with an innovative plot structure — sort of a 1Q84 meets The Catcher in the Rye. We are still finalizing the exact publication date, but it will be very soon, in about a month! Cameron continues to work on the sequel to Blazing the Sun as well, which we have tentatively slated for publication next year.

This is big and exciting news, but we have something even better than news to release today. Most people who know Cameron’s work know that he writes poetry, but few have ever had the opportunity to see or hear it. He was recently experimenting with some recording equipment and recorded a series of 7 poems, which we have put up on youtube for everyone to listen to. It’s powerful stuff!

Cameron Lambright will be at the Blue Moon Books anniversary party on Friday, November 1st at 11:00 a.m. for an author signing and reading! This is a great chance to hear some of the best passages of BLAZING THE SUN in the author’s own voice. Come support independent bookstores by stopping by.

Book Club Meetings in Portland, OR this August!

Interested in meeting Cameron Lambright face to face? Cameron is traveling to Portland, Oregon twice this month to meet with two different book clubs to discuss BLAZING THE SUN.

On Sunday, August 18th at 6 p.m. he will be meeting with the East Side Book Pub group at Belmont Station (map), and on Friday, August 30th at 7 p.m. he will be at the Young Ladies Book Club at the SE Grind (map).

If you are interested in attending, both of these groups ask for RSVPs through Meetup.com. It should be a lot of fun to discuss the novel in depth with others who have read BLAZING THE SUN, and question Cameron directly about the book. Incandescence Press is always excited to hear from readers, and even if you aren’t able to attend a book club meeting, feel free to send us email or messages!
